One of the best experience was this visit to Golu Devta Mandir. Not only the history that stands out but also the infrastructure. Its astonishing how far faith can take us. Its a 12 km trip from Bhimtal and one should definitely visit this place. You can take cab or taxi accordingly. One of the fact that Vivah movies song Milan abhi Adha adhura hai was shot here. Also, you can see and feel the clouds from here and the place is serene and breathtaking. Must visit.
The famous Temple of Chitai Almora is the Golu Devta Chitai temple, dedicated to Gollu or Goljyu Devta an Avtar (incarnation) of Lord Shiva in the form of Gaur Bhairav.
