Shahi Qila, also known as Karar Fort or Jaunpur Fort, is a fort built during the 14th century in Jaunpur, Uttar Pradesh, India. The fort is located close to the Shahi Bridge on the Gomti river. The Kerar Kot fort once stood on the same site on the left (north) bank of the Gomti river. It contained a mosque and a spacious and stylish set of baths (hammam) installed by Barbak, the brother of Tughlaq. The layout of the fort is an irregular quadrangle enclosed in stone walls. Decent place but beware of the local.
Important tourism spot of jaunapur.. well maintain by arechelogy survey of india ....But nothing special here.. there is only hamam(bath house) which is also called bhul bhulya , and there is mosque also.. lush green area.. if you are in jaunpur...You should visit ..And as I told nothing historically special.. it is only fort and nothing about history...😢
There was old building which is sliding day by day. Only the walls of the qila has been left. There was a building hammam still there in its position. Overall nice place for visit in jaunpur. Important place as historical point of view. One must visit here.History : Situated in the heart of the city on the left bank of the Gomti, Shahi Qila was built by Freoze Shah in 1362 A.D. The inner gate of this fort is 26.5 ft. high and 16 ft. wide. The central gate is 36 ft. high. A top this there is a huge dome. At present only its eastern gate and, within, some arches etc. remain which narrate the tale of its ancient splendor. Muneer Khan had got its majestic front gate built with a view to security and it was decorated with blue and yellow stones. Inside, there is a bath in the Turkish style ad a Mosque too. From this fort, an enchanting view of the Gomti river and the city can be seen. The mosque, built by Ibrahim Banbank, carries the imprints of Hindu and Buddhist architectural styles.
Thats a nice place in jaunpur , i spend lots of time in jaunpur foart
The place has nothing left other than few walls. The place is filled with lovers who have destroyed the culture of the place.I feel sad that the walls are scribbled. You will find pan spits everywhere. The place has no remains. Nothing historic is seen here.Entry fees is around ₹20-₹25 I think.Preserve atleast whats left.Keep the place cleanHope it helps.
The Fort is situated in Jaunpur (U.P), which is 100 KM from Allahabaad and 55 KM from Varanasi. There is Gomti river near the fort.As per the History, The fort is created by Firoz Sah Tuglak. The fort is Historical, there are many mystery about this fort. The fort have a Pashad Pillor which is situated around dated1766.The fort is one of the best place to visit in Jaunpur for Fun and Best Views. At the time of evening the place looks too much attractive because of beautiful sun rays. Most recommended place to visit in Jaunpur..

Neet and clean
Built by firoz shah tughlak in 18th century, inside this fort, there is a mosque and snan ghar or bathing place, no parking available, entry fee for indian resident is 25 rupee, for foreign national, fee is 300 when you pay in cash. Opens till sunset, beaware of the edges of fort as they dont have any boundary or railing.
Moving around in the narrow streets and passing through all the hustle and bustle of Jaunpur city...I somehow ended up inside this beautiful fort. The place is maintained by archeological survey of India and is kept nice and clean. The lush green lawns and the crazy old structures are good but the best part about this place is the peace.
Very nice and very beautiful dj shreya
It was amazing tour.. we enjoyed alot
This is the best place in Jaunpur you can see the ancient art to make the fort.
We can see our architects skill in this Qila. And government and local should take care of this heritage.
A must go place if you are visiting Jaunpur to roam around and have fun. Furry is still in well condition, you may reach almost every place inside ii. And view from there if whole city is great, specially the sunset.
This is a historical place and famous for shahi Quila this city name Jaunpur in honour of kiRaja jaunpur ji and this city is also famous for Benishav emerti
Nice place but not very good place, I think it would be right to give 3 stars to Shahi Fort

The hammam is partly underground having both inlet and outlet channels, hot and cold water, and the like. The MosqueThe mosque or masjid is likely the oldest building in Jaunpur township. It was a simple arcade of about 39.40 metres (129.3 ft) x 6.65 metres (21.8 ft) in the Bengali style. It was supported by a 12 metres (39 ft) pillar having a Persian inscription inscribed on it, telling the story of erection of the mosque in 1376 by Barbak. There are three low central domes but instead of minars there are two nearby stone pillars.

Really love this place, you can chill here but wont recommend to visit here during the summer season because its too much hot that time and I think nothing for shelter anything except trees...
A great historical place.Great view of whole jaunpur city from that height.Inside look was not that good when I visited 2-3 yeras before, but now they have maintained the gardens and fields very well which increases its beauty.Plastic bottles and polythenes are not allowed inside, hence use paper bags.Entry ticket is 20-30 Rs (approx).
