Vishnu temple janjgir is suited at the purani basti janjgir at the bank of bhima talab 4km from naila rly station the temple was built by great jajvalydev pratham around 13th century who was the king of kalachuri dynasty he also establish the city too on his name city called janjgir .The temple is on a base 6ft from ground temple may bein nagar shaili and made by grenait and balua stone the whole temple is fully carved with gods goddess yakshs scene from ramayan and mahabharat too and many animal like elephant horse crocodiles and many more. In its doorway dwarpal of shri vishnu jay and vijay are in standing position with ganga and jamuna the figer of them is so fine carved especially their jeweleries that hard to believe that this are carved in stone . I saw many other historic temple of cg like devrani jethani of talagao bhoramdev of kavrdha lakshman temple of sirpur mahishasur mardani temple of chaiturgarh ratnpur temple of mahamaya bt I never got this type of full carved temple anymore

Vishnu Mandir were built by kings of Hayhay Vansh, near Bhima Talab of purani basti of Janjgir in 12 Century. It was being constructed in two parts to make a full temple, but both the parts were not assembled in time and as a result of it, both the parts of the temple are laying on the ground separately and still the temple is uncompleted. Due to this, the temple is also called as Nakata Mandir by local people. On the walls of the temple the statue of God and Goddess, Gandharava and Kinners are making it worth watching for the tourists.
