I just visited jammu Tawi, where I got an opportunity to visit Bahu fort and Bhave devi🙏 Temple. People from local says that,if youre visiting to the Jammu then must go to this place. The people of Jammu believes that, Bhave mata protects themselves from all unknown difficulties.I first visited the temple and had a darshan of Bhave mata. It was really peaceful 🙏. Then I entered into Bahu fort park, where greenery is maintained. It was really amazing to see Tawi river from this place. I took lot of photos here.It was Sunday evening and just sun setting down, waaaaa!!!!!!!.... What a beauty. It was really amazing.I would suggest, to visit this place at evening.

Believed to be built in 3000 years ago, Bahu fort takes the pride of being the oldest fort in Jammu. This historical fort was built by Raja Bahu Locha and later, Dogra kings revamped the fort in 19th century. Situated on the left bank of the River Tawi, the fort is positioned in a beautiful natural backdrop. Bahu Fort is a heritage site of the state of Jammu and Kashmir.Bahu FortWithin the premises of Bahu fort, lies the popular Maha Kali temple of Bave Wali Mata, a temple dedicated to presiding deity of the region. Devotee in large numbers throng the temple on ThursdayThe Bahu Fort also houses a royal garden called Bagh-e-Bahu. This terraced garden is beautifully embellished with ornamental flowers, trees and water fountains. Bagh-e-Bahu is a favored picnic spot for both locals and tourists especially during cool summers. Apart from offering beautiful scenic landscape, this garden also has some recreational activities for the visitors. The Bahu Fort is located in Jammu city in state of Jammu and Kashmir. The fort, said to be built by an earlier ruler, was refurbished during the Dogra Empire by Raja Gulab Singh in the 18th century. The fort is a religious place, and within its precincts has a temple dedicated to the Hindu goddess Kali, the presiding deity of Jammu. The temple is known locally as the Bawe Wali Mata temple. The building of the city of Jammu and the Bahu Fort are linked to a legend. Raja Jambu Lochan, when on a hunting trip, witnessed a curious scene of a tiger and a goat drinking water side by side at the same location in the Tawi River, without the tiger attacking. The Raja considered this a divine direction to establish his new capital here, as the scene he witnessed at this site represented peaceful coexistence. His brother, Bahu Lochan, is credited with building the fort. The fort is located on a high plateau land overlooking the Tawi River on its rocky left bank. The forest area that surrounds the fort has been developed into a well laid out park called the Bagh-e-Bahu, developed on the lines of the Mughal gardens from where a commanding view of the city of Jammu could be seen. The garden attracts a large number of visitors. The fort, the temple and the Bagh-e-Bahu garden are located 5 kilometres (3.1 mi) from the Jammu city centre. The city road to Surinsar was widened for providing approach to an Oil drilling exploration project. However, this project was shelved and consequently the widened new road provided better access to the fort and the temple, and the number of visitors to these places has since increased.A popular Hindu festival known as Bahu Mela is held during the Navaratras in the fort area, twice a year, during March-April and September-October. This attracts a very large number of pilgrims to the fort and the temple located within it. Every week, Tuesday and Sunday are special days of worship at the temple. During the main festival time, special stalls are opened near the fort area selling paraphernalia such as sweets, flowers, incense, coconuts, red cloth and so forth, to make special offerings to the deity in the temple.

Well maintained and nice to walk around. Not much signage to know the story if there is any. The park is a local picnic spot where the families get together and have a nice time. Stating all that, there was not littering of garbage so kudos to the cleaning. The locals enjoy to take a dip is the fountain water I guess. It was a nice scene to see all the kids coming together and having a nice time. Worth a visit.

Fort is good but the park!!! What would I say if park to be rated like our movies this park would have rated A.Few years back I visited this place with some of my friends and I was in sheer agony seeing the misrepresentation of love by couples who didn’t bother about their surroundings. On such grounds I don’t like this place or advice everyone not to visit this place. If irresponsible couples do such obscenity in a public place.

Park is absolutely amazing and the river view is completely insane. Park is well maintained and clean af😂. One of the biggest parks in Jammu Tawi for the locals and the tourists as well. The place is filled with a holy spirit in air because of the temple close to it the place is very famous among the tourists and every one just love to visit here.

This is one of the best side seen in Jammu this is a fort and there is a Kali temple inside the fort. I would suggest that even though you are not a religious person go there because the fort itself hold a history. The the scenic beauty is a mesmerising and the River Tawi Nadi is there you can see that river also.keep your mobile and show in your call because they are the issues and mobile is not allowed to carry inside the fort and the temple.
