The only zoo in located in the outskirts of Jammu. Small but well maintained park with small varieties of animals like leopard, deers , bear, peacock, snakes, etc. The park is a nice place to hangout with friends and family. Not much activities to do or enjoy.

It was a great adventure for us to be there. A marvellous experience to have in life. First time watching these wild animals with q close eye was really fascinating. Overall a great experience to share with the guys back at home. But what needs to be mentioned is that this park is deficient of some wild animals like cheetah, lion, wild dogs etc

Nice place to visit with kids! You can see some beautiful peacocks, deers, A couple of bears, leopard, rabbits. They have a separate pond for beautiful ducks. A small lake at one end has some fishes and ducks as well. You can sit in the park for sometime and enjoy the nature. A small channel running in the middle looks beautiful and adds to the beauty.You always get the peace of mind in the lap of nature.Enjoy the visit!

Manda Zoo is quite good in terms of its location. A beautiful natural environment for all the animal species out there. Surprisingly there are less variety of animal species considering its size and location, it could have adjusted a lot more different wild animals.

All these people talking about the zoos to be a very good place to visit once in a life but according zoos are one of the most depressing places to visit whether it be manda zoo or some where else. Every animal has the right of freedom which is definitely lacking here. Animals are put into small cages for their whole life. Just for the cause humans can see them. Have you not seen the leopards and bear there. They seem to be so depressed. Kindly stop visiting such zoos. If you get depressed locked down in your house. So does the animals. 😊 Hope you guys understand this and reconsider if you have a plan to visit zoos.

This is nice place to bring your Kids and spent some time. But the closing time is very early in evening. So one should come with proper time. The complete Zoo has so many ANimals and Birds. Animals are Leopard, Wild Cat, Dears, Bear, etc. Birds are Peacock, Owl and many more.

Went to the Manda zoo park in june 2019. It was a very good place then. This is a must visit place with kids and all age group people can enjoy there.

Its one and only zoo in jammu city.The zoo is very big and vast.Its full of natural beauty. Everywhere is greenery. Your eyes will feel like heaven.There are thousand type of trees and plants in the zoo. So many animal and birds species are present in the zoo like owl, leopard,beer, snakes, pigs, peacocks, ducks etc.The beauty is very mesmerizing. It is one of the tourist spot in jammu and also a picnic spot.The ticket is of Rs 30/- per person.And the timing is 10:00 am to 6:00pm.I hope this has helped you in a way.Thanks for reading

Nice place to go with kids.. Kinda of a picnic day out but without eatables😜 Crowded on Sunday as i visited it on that day only.. Most of the animals were sleeping in the afternoon(2-3pm).So better to visit post 3:30pm..eatables not allowed as there are lot of monkeys inside.. So take water and any other necessary things like milk for small kids along with u.. Enjoy seeing animals!!

This is a tourist place here Mostly Family come to enjoy and come out from their discomfort life. But the main issue is that the staff looking after this zoo allow couples and the couples lost in their own environment which is not good to see in a public place. Manda Zoo is the only Zoo in the Jammu to get in touch with the natural beauty. This zoo has a wide variety of colorful birds and attractive animals. The greenery of this zoo will soothe the mind. Spectacular views and great surrounding atmosphere attract lot of tourists to this zoo. The distance of this zoo from the center of the city Jammu is near about 5 to 6 kms. It is located on Palace Road, near Hari Niwas. The whole area is actually a national park and it is quite big.The whole environment of Manda zoo provides a visual treat to the tourists. It gives a soothing sense to experience the nature s beauty. Numerous types of trees along with a lot of variety in their size and shape can be found here. These include large trees with beautiful flowers and little herbs. One can find Drumstick trees, Night jasmine trees, parrot tree, Indian Coral tree, False Quinine tree, Buffalo Horn tree, Golden Shower tree, Monkey Face tree, Bridal Couch tree etc. The intention behind giving amazing names to the trees was to assist the visitors in correlating and memorizing these fascinating names. These trees stretched along the whole route are present on both sides, thus allowing a visitor to have an impression of wandering through the woods. Apart from various trees with interesting names, there are a lot of animals and attractive bird species. The chirping of birds will soothe one s ears. This is really a nice place to visit with family and friends. By paying just Rs.20 you can actually get to see Number of animals and birds that you cant see real anywhere other than in zoo. At few meters of distance from entrance and ticket counter there are 🐇 rabbits on right side, which are really cute, then there are 🦆 ducks on left..Then porcupine, peacock, 🐍 snakes ,cheetah, 🐟 fishes are also there, 🐻 Bear, different species of 🐈 cat family, 🦌 deers, turtles and the place is really beautiful and gives emence pleasure by showing the variety of animals...The thing that I felt bad was the behavior of people;Animals there in cages seem more civilized than people who visit there...We all must enjoy and explore this diversity there and not to irritate those beautiful creatures.Thanks 😊!

Manda Deer Park is a National Park in Jammu. Manda Zoo is situated only some meters before Amar Singh Palace & Museum and Hari Niwas Palace at Palace Road, Janipur, Jammu.The Jammu city, which is renowed for its temples also, has distinction of being located very close to a pristine patch of forest protected under J&K Wildlife Protection Act. This protected area of about 10sq kms is known as Ramnagar Wildlife Sanctuary. The sanctuary, considered as a lung for Jammu City, supports a variety of flora and fauna. Basically known as Deer Park. Ducks can be seen inside the pond and in Garden. Fun to play with them. Porcupine, peacocks, snake chamber, Bear, wild cats, crocodile, emu, chital, tigers and many more animals can be seen. Parks, benches, toilets and drinking water available. Long routes and can cover with in 1-2 hrs with family.Not too big, but good to visit once. Very nominal fee of 10 rs. water coolers not working. Zoo closes at 6 pm. No food court inside.

Its a small zoo but very nicely mantained.Loads of family , young couples do come here...As per authorities no food items are allowed but water can be taken inside as there is no drinking water point inside...so do carry your water bottles..if forgot then buy it....Now reality check about food ...I had seen loads of lays empty packets, other food item ....so if authority is making some rule then it should be followed ...its fault of people who are coming ...and making beautiful place dirty....Few things need to be done by authorities1. Proper layout of the zoo2. Way in and way out.3. Proper name should be displayed ..as there were many cages are of without name4.there should be security inside ..or can b made a round by security as ...its a zoo not lovers parkThanks

A good place for family picnic.Washrooms available.A good parking space.You have to buy entry ticket.Nowadays Mask is compulsory.When i visited the bird section was closed due to advisory for bird flu. But other animals was present there.I feel sad when i saw them in cage which is a permanent lockdown for them till there last breath.But overall the place was good.

Its a small zoo with about 1 Km of walking path to cover all the cages. The main attractions are leapord and an ostrich like bird. Good to go in winters.Will take an hour to go around.

Lazy animals they are sad, and not to many as you can see in photos maybe some are dead🙄

It was pretty sad to see the birds put in such small cages, the snakes had too small cages too, while the deers and buffalows had large open spaces to play around in. The zoo does not lack space so why not make the cages bigger? There were lots of different types of animals, from deers to crocodiles.

Being a nature and wild life lover it amazes me to see the beauty of these beasts which is now restricted to these cages. In terms of location the place is situated about 1-2 Kms from the city centre. The destination is quite calm and visitors can spend quality time with their relatives. The only thing which can be improved or given consideration is the strictness within the zoo as visitors quite often tend to tease the animals or fiddle with these creatures. Any way you can easily spot leopard, black bears, quite a number of deer and snake species as well as birds such as emu, owl, peacock and many other animals.
