‘Simple but Super’ is my motto and RTDC Moomal is the perfect example. The location is good and so are the rooms. They are nice and cozy. Although all this is amazing what I really loved was the food. Amazing! If you are eating here you must try the palak paneer and masala bhindi. The local sweet ‘GOTWA’ is beyond delicious. It is great. The food the rooms the experience all were amazing. If you are in Jaisalmer this hotel fulfills all your demands.~~Prutha~~

Liked the room. Staff is very good. I was travelling with 3 senior citizens. I had called hotel to inform that we will be late in checking in. Manager had kept room heater on in the room. When we arrived, we found room temperature very comfortable. We had travelled in mid December when temperature was low.

Not a very well maintained hotel.though its a govt run hotel but interior is same old.not even thinkable.From outside its look like a royal entity.but inside os same old shabby wall,broken door,90s old tv set.

Bad management. Stayed there for 3 days, despite repeatedly complaining the toilet flush was not working at all, had to use bucket to use as flush nor was the TV in working condition. There is no intercom so had to go and complain but to no avail. Nobody came to even check. But the best part is exactly at 12.04 PM there was a knock on the door on the day of checkout to remind that we have to vacate the room. Giving two stars for the food. Even the complementary breakfast was good and piping hot. Location wise around 3 - 4 km from station. Auto charges rs 50/- but if you take auto thru the hotel reception they charge you rs 100/-

During our tour, we stayed at different hotels of RTDC, but i liked this hotel most because of its maintenance, hospitality. The hotel is well maintained. Things are in working condition. The rooms are quite spacious. The building itself is designed similar to that of the forts. I liked it.

The hotel is located in a good location and exterior of the hotel is very good. Rooms are also very good but lacks amenities.

While visiting rajsthan, I stayed here with family. Run by state tourism dept. Nice location, clean maintained.not a star hotel. Good for family stay. Medium quality hot food available, room service is there. But dont expect much standard.

Very good RTDC Hotel. Satisfactory facility to stay for a few days. Good exterior architecture. Nice open spaces. Ample parking. But overall, not very well maintained. Phone/Intercom service if off. No pest/Insect Control. Food quality is okay. Old Beds, TV, Sofa, etc. are in not very good condition. Yet, a good calm atmosphere to spend 3-4 days if you are not expecting a lavish hotel service.

For those who prefer safe and standard accommodation rtdc hotel moomal is good choice. Though the service quality is poor and the amenities provided in the rooms are substandard and condition of rooms also not good. But still considering it a budget hotel it is advisable to stay here.

The property is run by Rajasthan Tourism. Located at a good location in Jaisalmer. Stayed there for 3 nights in AC room. Rooms are basic with lot of things needs to be fixed. Bathrooms are clean. Dont expect daily cleaning unless you ask for the same. Room service is almost absent. Restaurant serves veg and non veg food. Taste is ok, nothing special about it. 3 stars are given for good parking space,clean washrooms and location.

Minimum maintenance is not available. Doors are a bit broken and flush doesnt work. But food is good and unlimited.

Visited last week of Dec(peak season- check prices on there website and also for discount offers)Room: booked a family room There are around 8 family room with 2 small rooms and a attached bathroom. (Apt for 4 ppl only, though they give option for 5 ppl)Room are not spacious, there is a almirah but according to family room, space is less for luggage. One crt tv which u have to ask their staff to make it work, blubs were fussed in bathroom which took around 2hrs to get repaired.Food: Food was the only thing which was good in this hotel. Breakfast, lunch, dinner was included in our package. Variety and quality of food was good.Poha cutlets tea coffee boiled egg in breakfast.Dal, any sesonal sabji, paneer, any Rajasthani sabji, kadhi and sweet(kheer-sewai/rice/ sabudana) for lunch and dinner. No complaint on food.Overall: cleanliness is required outside and inside of hotel.Food was good.There are mud huts also in different section of the hotel. Good for bonfires, even if u book room in other section of hotel u can come and use pits for bonfire.

The hotel is very very average. Only the exterior of the hotel is good. The interior and the rooms are so very ordinary.

A clean, affordable hotel with a attached restaurant & bar (both are separate) serving tasty food at an affordable cost. The cost of the rooms are reasonable as they are set by the Rajasthan Tourism Board. The service & hospitality was a star point of this hotel. Location wise its not far from market but you will need a vehicle to travel to the attraction of the city.

A very good RTDC hotel. A bit expensive but the quality is superb. The rooms are clean, the staffs are great. The hotel enjoys a great location and the ambience is beautiful. Most importantly the buffet food is the best in class among all the RTDC hotels I have been. I have deducted one star only for the price charged and unavailability of a card swiping machine.

An average hotel, rates are high as compared to the cleanliness which they provide. Their corridors stink, but staff is good. If given a choice I wont go back to this hotel, Id book a much better hotel for the same bucks somewhere outside. They really need to uplift their services if they want to make the hotel cost worthy.

We booked separate cottages which are pretty huge and we were happy with the room size. One drawback is that the food served in the restaurant is not that nice, plus you will find some spots in the hotel which are filthy. Overall fair for the price you pay.

Nice budget hotel by RTDC, Rajasthan. Offers free breakfast, we were offered dinner also as part of Diwali festival. Breakfast includes bread+butter+jam, boiled eggs, fruits, indian cuisine, tea+coffee. Food is good, less oily, not spicy and contained one sweet dish.

Decent budget stay . Spacious room . Reasonably maintained . Should be better . Food choice and quality are moderate .

Non Ac rooms were just horrible and the manager refused to provide room heaters in the non Ac room.

Average. Relatively good AC room, especially compared to other cities in Rajasthan where we stayed at the RTDC accommodation. Food in the restaurant very sub-standard. Staff presence not adequate either, with the reception left vacant often.

The location of Hotel is nice and it has ample parking. We took an ac room and it was nice. Staff was courteous. The food was also nice and they were considerate enough to accommodate our request for jain food for breakfast.Coming to negatives, their lobby and corridors reaked of alcohol and smoke. They have a nice place at nice location but reeking lobbies and corridors will push people away. Also, the restaurant is dark and the ligthing is very ghastly. even during morning hours it looked ghastly and resembled more to a shabby bar.

RTDC stay just needs little bit more maintaince.

Better than Jaipur, Bikaner RTDC hotels Teej & Dhola Maru. Food is Ok. TV old and doesnt work properly. Hotwater geyser available. No wood work flooring. Outlook superb.

Low maintained property!! Property has Hotel rooms ,Staff is excellent and courteous. . Services are up to the mark and very satisfactory. Location is silent and peaceful . property atmosphere gets cool in evening even with cold breezes . Food is good and cheap as expected . They have not maintained quality standards upto the mark and same can be experienced here too . Area of resort is small compare to other properties but is cosy and comfortable . Rooms are Hotelnrooms but not maintained at all . Breakfast consisting of many different varieties and off course delicious . No Swimming pool . Staff is courteous and friendly . Masala dosa in breakfast was really delicious even Paneer Paratha and puri bhaji were good. We have checked in with one hotel unit booking and we where 4 people staff has arranged us one more hotel unit although that was charged but was a great help to us . Property has no table tennis to play , carom board , Swimming pool , Billiards , Air hockey and hand foot ball to play and have fun. Soveniour shop has good gift articles to take with for home . Overall if you are on budget vacation this property is ideal .
