Amazing experience! The service is super cool and amazing. You must visit the restaurant with your friends. Ah, yeah its on a bit of the expensive side but is worth it. Hight recommended!

All the royal diggers out there, you will be blown away with this place. A proper steam engine train with seating inside and outside. Now, it is a thinker as to where to sit but whatever your decision will be it is going to be worth it. The place lights up exceptionally at night with all the lanterns and candles. The place looks royal, the staff is royal and food is at par excellence. This place will not let you down in any which way. A little side note- Do try their Pizzas.

This is one of the best restaurants to visit in Jaipur. Located right at the start of Rambagh Palace it has got the right vibes, good food and great service.We chose to sit outside in the open instead of sitting inside the bogey. There was live music along with the IPL broadcast. They have a huge gap between the tables on the open area which really makes it an ideal place for a date!We ordered their Mexican Burrito bowl sampler instead of the usual pizza that they are famous for. It was very well prepared and they were really generous in refilling the salsa. The mock tails - ginger ale & Virgin Mary - were fresh and devoid of unnecessary sugar. The desert really wasnt that great and is definitely not recommended.The staff was really courteous and the locals knew them by name. Yogendra & Arnab served us and were really good to talk to.

True royalty! This restaurant is a part of the Rambagh palace. The vibe is excellent and service unmatchable. We had ordered for a pizza, mushroom soup, mezze platter and nachos. Everything tasted yum! If ur in Jaipur and want to spend a great evening, this is a must visit. Please note that it may be a lil heavy on the pocket, but I always love visiting this place when Im in Jaipur.

Mesmerizing charm of the oriental time and space is beautifully crafted with the engine and its coaches at the Steam. The palaces silhouette in the background adds to the royalty and the era. Always a great place to be. Like the casual and relaxed atmosphere. Perhaps could do a it better on consistency of food quality (I hear mid-week one should ask if main chef is around before ordering pizzas) but overall great.

The engine is still the real engine.The waiter Amit here helped us get all the information about this restaurant and the several other restaurants in the Rambaug palace. He gave us all the history about the palace and Jaipur city itself.For the food here, we tried Baked Nachos. It was great.There was a live singer, that added to the moment. It was overall an amazing experience.

Best example of out of the box places - SteamIts a whole new and different experience rather than every convention cafe or restaurant in jaipur built in a train structure gives you a vibe that u are actually travelling and enjoying food however it doesnt move.Didnt got the chance to eat there because of advance booking or reservations hence you should book a table in advance or you wont be allowed to eat.

Booked this place for a candle light dinner on the occassion of my husbands birthday and the staff turned it to the worst experience. Instead of candle lights we were asked to sit in the train and had our dinner. The rates are too high in respect to the ambience and taste. We ordered nachos there the cost was about 1000 rs and they served us dry cheese over nachos. When asking to chef he said its cheese from singapore, thinking that the customer are illiterate.Had the worst experience and suggest no one to go there to celebrate your lovely events

Good concept,but food lacks steam

Buckle up boys, this is the next level of food prep. Go for the pizzas, theyll never let you down a la Rick Astley. Crumb-Fried Stuffed Mushrooms are a personal favorite and come recommended. Ensure you try the Tiramisu, itll probably be the highlight of whatever day youve had.

Its a great place in winters. There is seating inside the train and also an enclosed area incase you dont want to sit outdoors. Dishes to try are pizza and Lebanese platter. Service is also decent. Since it is inside the hotel there is no parking problem. Good place to go to !

The best upscale ambience in Jaipur. Amazing Italian cuisine and the best wines to compliment. Winter’s the best time to enjoy the place. But I wouldn’t avoid mentioning some compromised hospitality.There is an issue when the guest has to get up and go to the manager and ask for a glass of water. The serving time is also quite long.Understood that the items are freshly prepared, but preparations should be strong enough to keep the guest waiting for long.Overall a good experience !

The place itself is awesome. Nice outdoor seating, and seating in an old train wagon as well. Great service, great ambience and decent menu. However, the food, while awesome in looks, doesnt impress with its taste. I am not saying it is bad, its just not the same standard as other Taj restaurants. The look of the main hotel building from the restaurant is wonderful in the evenings.

We wanted to visit a restaurant during the COVID times which we knew would present us with sanitised environment along with good food and good time.Steam is built with actual bogies of a steam train, and is placed at the iconic Taj Rambagh Palace hotel. Hence, the ambience is beautiful, and yet, the atmosphere is lively. In the bogies, you do get a personal space for your group.The food that we ordered was too good. There were some sort of chill potatoes, and the margherita pizza with basil was amazing. The attendant and the manager both came to chat with us.All in all, a very good experience.

Beautiful restaurant within the Rambagh Palace premises. The staff is brilliant and so is the food. Fantastic ambience and mouth watering good especially wood baked Pizza with consistent delicious taste everytime you are there. The drinks are mixed well always and the service very prompt. The staff makes you feel special, anytime you are there - typically Taj style . Your can sit in the rail carriage to get lost in the era bygone, sit in the lounge to feel the modern times and sit out to feel the weather and look at the splendor of the main building

Expensive on pocket. Low on taste. Great ambience. It gives you a very royal feel. You can spot peacocks dancing and chirping. The breeze is great. The staff is courteous but the service was very slow. I had to repeat twice for them to get the things I ordered. One should definitely visit the place for the ambience and the rich royal vibe but dont expect the food to be tasteful. The Steam engine is an eye candy. It lends a different feeling altogether to eat inside.Must go for the places charm and vibe.

Poor service unbecoming of the Taj group.

Steam has a peaceful ambience with beautiful decor. It is in Taj rambagh, the restaurant has seating inside the train(includes engine and coaches) and outside. The coaches are fully air conditioned and very comfortable, this is a very beautiful concept. The choices to order is vast and they serve both veg and non-veg dishes. Although I personally didnt like the spring rolls, vada pav and pizza but the ambience and environment in the restaurant with their service turned it a great dinner experience for us.

Amazing service, beautiful ambience, and dont even get me started on the food. This place does full justice to the brand that is Rambag and Taj. We had a few cocktails and a veg starter platter, but the highlight of the dinner was when they made us a customized half and half pizza. Id say the live music couldve been better but thats just a personal choice. There were both open air and closed door options and the heating was very well maintained for both.

A few hiccups starting from an order miscommunication, dysfunctional coffee machine to extremely long bill payment process there are a few things they need to work on, besides the overall top notch service, they have been famous for for decades. Great food and really courteous staff.

We visited the place on Valentines Day.First of all the menu was fixed upto 3000 amount. Post that ala carte was available.Didnt liked the food at all.The pizza was ok.Desert again very bad.

We had an extremely terrible experience with Steam, Taj Rambagh. After having reserved a bogie to ourselves a week prior, for the afternoon lunch slot, we were made to wait for half and hour saying they didn’t have one free at that time. After half an hour we were told that the bogies are not free we will have to do with an indoor table. Like this was not enough.. Meanwhile they made us order food while we were waiting for our bogie and the waiter after having taking down our order comes back after 15 minutes to say that we could not order separate dishes, we could only order as a package, wherein there is a fixed starter and a choice of pizza. This was so annoying. Was the waiter not aware of this said “package” at the time of the order? So after having ordered food and drinks and waiting for half and hour and having continually requested them to allot us our bogie they tell us that they don’t have one available. We decided to leave immediately and honestly we wouldn’t ever return. We have never faced such terrible hospitality and unprofessional management. I would rate it in negative if I could but the ambience seemed okay. It’s such a shame that they have the “Taj” brand attached to their name because the hospitality was abysmal!

Very bad experience, the waiter AMIT cheated on us in terms of the bill. We asked and reconfirmed with him at least thrice the price of the wine about the glass price and the bottle price and he said there are two different prices glass and bottle price. Never mentioning what we were was a bottle of wine which coated us a lot. The bill we were expecting was around 5-6k but we got a bill of 15 thousand rupees. Which was utterly disappointing.Two days later there was again some problem in the billing which we got fixed and saw that our dish was mentioned twice and we had it only once so this was the way they cheated on us.

OVERLY HYPED PLACE. AVOID IF YOU CAN.We visited this place on 21st Dec hoping to get some good experience. Untill entry everything looks great - Nice garden with peacocks, Rambag Palace, Steam Train restaurant ..BUT once you step in, its not that good experience (at least for us). No Sanitizers in place (can you imagine during covid times). Had to wait for 15 minutes to get the Menu card. Our Lil baby didnt like the place and was crying continuously after entering this dark low light place. We were not served water untill we asked for it after waiting 15 min. The waiter brought mineral water bottle which we got to know later that they have charged us Rs 200 for that 1 ltr water bottle (heights of loot). We ordered for a pizza which was of pathetic quality (totally burned from corners, minimal toppings and cheese) and to our shock it had priced Rs. 1250. Can you imagine now how worth this place and food can be. The waiter was in his full attitude as he is doing some favour by taking our order and brought the food after waiting for 30 min. We had to ask for the bill which was sent to us after 10min. I waited for another 10min for the waiter to come and collect the Card but no one came. I had to go to their counter to pay the escalated bill for the food which was of lowest grade so far I had anywhere. I am surprised of some good ratings and review people have given here. Is it deceptive or was it just a bad day for us there.Will never go there again and will not recommend this place to anyone who really respect and care for his/her money and the quality of food.

A beautiful train restaurant built upon in an iconic palace makes it prestigious. Firstly thanks to management of the Hotel to maintain such beautiful premises and also to the their team which looks always charming with smiles they wear. The experience at Steam with my family was exceptional. We enjoyed each and every delicacy of this place. Our server Prakhar was one of the reason that made us feel so comfortable. This is one of our most amazing experiences during our visit to Jaipur. Keep up the good work Team Rambagh.
