With high hopes we reached Spice Court, it was a Saturday evening. I heard many good reviews of this place. This place has very good ambience, but I think it was not a lucky day for us... We ordered 2 starters, Raj Sula and Chiken Tikka and couple of drinks, out of which Raj Sula was too dry and not properly cooked, same goes with Chicken Tikka, tenderness of meat was missing and it seems like it was taken out of freezer and it was undercooked. For main course, we ordered famous Laal Maas and Chicken Buna, been a local and from Rajput family I understand the flavours. We asked it to be less spicy as we had kid with us, Laal Maas has no taste in curry literary no flavour and too thin although pieces were cooked properly, Chicken Buna was better comparatively.Few more things which were observed -1. Staff was not serving anything, be it soft drink, they just kept the Coke can on table, same goes with Starters and Main course. Dishes were simply put on the table.2. Staff was very courageous but not trained I presume.3. This place is heritage, if its service level is improved along with taste, this could be one of the best places in Jaipur.4. Raj. Sula were taken out of my bill as it was not to my expectation, which is good way, but was added back as I insisted.Hope Kuldeep ji will take a note of my observations in positive way.It may be a one off day in kitchen for chef,I would definately try this again for next review.

His place is recommended to me by a friend for it laal means ( which we didn’t end up ordering). We ordered two dishes here keema baati and some potato 🥔 dish 🍽(warning for the light hearted - this dish is super spicy 🌶.Keema baati - minced lamb with spices stuffed with in a wheat 🌾 flour ball, and deep fried to get a hard outer shell, served with Laal gravy. There is nice sitting area outside next to a garden that is open for service in the evening. And I would rate both the dishes 4.5 out of of 5, but you should really visit the place it is really awesome and the food and service was soo good.

I experienced delicious main course and a caring staff. I visited this place with friends for a Dinner 🍲. We were delighted by the authentic Indian main course. The food and flavour were really impressive for a Non Vegetarian. I quite like the service but pity n waiting time to get the table. Entrance was beautifully decorated along with Rajasthani folk music 🎵. Wr ordered Bhuna Chicken 🐔 which comes with thick gravey and Butter Nan along with Tandoori Roti. Food was really delicious. They also serve alcohol so its a one of the best place to enjoy music, food & alcohol with friends and family. Enjoy👍

Came to Spice court today for a family get together. Had ordered Laal Maas. It is unfortunate that the dish was a huge disappointment, especially since in the past we’ve had truly heavenly laal Maas . The service was excellent however the mutton was not cooked thoroughly and it lacked the usual distinctive spices that make the dish unique. Stars have been added only for the service received. I wonder if they only serve delicious food during dinner!

Visited Spice Court yesterday. I have been there before and have enjoyed delicious food. But last night s dinner was a total disappointment. We had ordered a chicken tikka and raj sula for starters. Both were overtly spicy and dry. The mutton was stringy and chewey and charred in places. They show Bira beer on the menu but never stock it.For the main course, it was junglee mass and chicken biryani. The junglee maas was beyond spicy but no complaints there since we were informed of that. The biryani too was super spicy with the chicken being dry and stringy again. They served no raita with the biryani- just a bowl of plain curd. There was no music, inattentive waiters. Also, no outdoor seating which we really look forward to. Overall, very disappointed. Im sure Im not going back there again. Also, I read a number of reviews complaining of the same issues. The management does not seem to be concerned about it .It a lovely property but reeks of a dont care attitude when it comes to the food part. Sad.

When it cones to authentic Rajasthani Laal Maans, a few places have made it to the hall of fame. Spice Court is one of them. Its a posh restaurant with both indoor and outdoor dining, the latter available in the evening. The menu is crisp and brief, unlike most other restaurants where a lot of items are on offer which mostly turn out to be iterative. I liked that. Now about the food;-The Laal Maans owes its name from its appearance. Its a madhouse of spices! The first flavour that strikes you is the sour taste. Following the sour note you taste all the other spices. This dish is an uncanny blend of sour and hot flavours. The hot flavour dominates towards the end as it passes down the throat. This is not the regular hot flavour of green chilli or pepper but this is more sort of dry and punchy hot flavour of dried rajasthani chillies that kicks in from down the throat; perfectly parallels the climate of Rajasthan, dry and sultry. Best had with tandoori roti or laccha paratha or steamed rice.I tried it with both tandoori roti and lachha paratha. The lachha paratha is fried in pure ghee.I tried their gulab jamun too. Its served hot. This place is definitely not a cheap place to dine out. But the foid is good. The staff is courteous and professional. The floor manager is very welcoming and didnt keep a stone unturned in order to make me feel at home. I liked that.Bottomline - This is a costly but nice place to visit on a weekend night and the laal maans is a must try.

This is DHABA and not fine Dining. They served STALE mutton for Lunch, when I asked them, the manager told it was last Nights dinner. They got the laal Maas in 5mins, so I had my suspicion. The Manager and staff were totally UNAPOLOGETIC, about it and told they will check and come back. Obviously which never happened. The staff there isnt trained and provide authentic DHABA service...while I was having food, manual SCAVENGING of drain was also going on, which added to the aromas of the stale food.

A restaurant which runs as per greed. So because of the hype on online platforms, when you call the restaurant to make a table reservation, they will let you know that there isn’t any need of a reservation as the restaurant has never witnessed a waiting period of more than 10 mins! So finally after listened so when you arrive at the restaurant (& many more who called just as you) would be in queue there. Upon arriving at the restaurant you will realise that the waiting time is more than 40 mins. To handle this, they have appointed a very sophisticated and senior looking guy, who will try and manipulate you. When you called, waiting time was not more than 10 mins, when you reach this guy will tell you it’s 40 mins but when you get a table, you must have waited for hour and to 2 hours.. on top of this, the waiting staff is rude and will directly ask you for a handsome tip when you are ready to pay the bill. Food, is not at all worth this drama.

Visited two times already and love the food! The first time I insisted on trying the Junglee Maas although the waiter tried to convince me otherwise for 10 minutes😅 When I got it, I understood why: pure chili! Tastewise it was great, the mutton really tender. But I have never eaten anything more spicy before and tried to clean the mutton from chilli before eating 😄This time we tried the Laal Maas, one of my all-time favourites. It was super tender and was super yum!The Murgh Malai Tikka was great as well.Great service and nice colonial ambience.

The one which has lavish interiors and opens up to a huge garden. There was some folk dance being done by some local entertainers, which is the true spirit of Rajasthani hospitality. On a vacation to Jaipur and craving for Laal Maas, on a recommendation of a few , went in here and I am glad I did. Laid back and relaxed ambience. Great variety on the menu. They do have outdoor sitting but primarily in the evening I guess, we went in for lunch amidst rain and so we had a table comfortably inside. Decor is simple and soothing. Tandoori Chicken was perfect, succulent , all flavours packed, chicken done well and finger licking good. Laal Maas was the main dish that we were here for and was definitely impressive - the mutton, the spices , the red colour on the dish , the taste and texture was all up there and would highly recommended this one for anyone visiting. Goes well with Steam rice or Roti, though rice would be my preference. They also have some good cocktail options to try out. Service is good and wait staff were on top. Food came to the table in quick time.
