Timing for opening and closing is 10 AM to 5 PM. They have so much collections of stone art and sculpture of Lord Shiva, Vishnu , Ganesha .And also having Jains, Buddha sculpture. There is also huge coins collections of Ancient times in first floor. And also having traditional pictures , models , clothes, jewelleries and many things of Indigenous people of Gond and Baiga Communities.. Museum is very nice also the idols that keep here are charming.. It also have sculpture garden. Sculpture of God,goddesses, apsara, etc are eye catching. Coin collection section in museum is nice. It also have culture preservation section. I can say that it is one of best place to spent time in jabalpur. If you are nearer to jabalpur Railway Station and have 2 or 3 hours then it is a one of a place where you can spent your time.

Well preserved, and adequate description provided for all the artifacts & collection.Only sad thing is that the library here is not functioning anymore since the librarian retired and no replacement has been allotted, it would be a treasure to read and understand history through documented facts.Must visit for people interested in history going more than 3500 years back.

Its actually a local museum. Nothing that special. A small one. And there is no history related to Rani Durgavati. Just used her name. Some small relics, inscriptions, some historic coins and photographs of Chausath Yogini Temple are the overall contents of the Place.

Very informative and exhaustive about the archeological treasures of this region, there are endless number of excavated exhibits one has to spend one or two days to complete the viewing of the entire museum. The staff are just making friendly rounds of the museum without disturbing the attention of the visitor or the peace of the place just to ensure the security of the exhibits from the occasional vandals, they also give helpful guidance when required.

The external campus is open but entry inside the museum is restricted after 5:00pm. There are entry tickets of Rs20 for an Indian Adult. This is located close to teen Patti bus stop and next to St.Noberts School & church. This museum has 2 floors. It is in Napier Town.

This musium campus also includes an Art Gallery, called - Dr. Hiralal Kala Vithika. This is a nice hall for Art Exhibition, and other solo or group performance related to art and culture. You can visit there if any Show or exhibition is going on for free. And you want to book for your own show you can do.

The Rani Durgavati Museum is named after the brave queen of Jabalpur who defended her motherland and preferred to die rather than be held captive by the enemy. This museum is well stocked with many 10th to 12th century AD artifacts. It is spread over two floors and has a good display of statues, idols of Hindu and Jain gods, artifacts and antique coins. The building has well maintained lawns and is adorned with a fine sculpture of a wild boar at the entrance. It is one of the main attractions in Jabalpur and well worth a visit. It has a nominal entrance fee....

The place is a worth visit. The entry fee is just 20 for Indian visiters. Inside the museum there is a great collection of sculptures which were found in and nearby jabalpur. There is also a varied collection of coins from the 10th century BC to present. The jewellery of ancient people and dress of the queen can also be seen there.

This is an amazing place! Well kept, lots of parking. The museum is divided in Shiv, Vaishnav, Mahavir , tribal and few more sections. Great history and fossils dating back to 3500 year. Original devnagari scripts engraved in stones, dating back to kaurav dynasty. Its a visual treat to look at the scripts, and imagine the technique and skill of those ancient times. Nothing less spectacular than the Greeks. The stone carved deities are a treat to eyes and spirit. Sadly all of them bare signs of mughal rampage and plunder. Depicting how our Bharat has survived the ill wills of foreign plunderers. One star less for lack of literature and proper chronological setup. It would have been great if learned and passionate staff was available arround. Only gatekeepers were arround. Proper security against theft is required strongly. Adding few pictures do visit, its is one of the most understated places. The management committee badly needs some really dedicated and passionate curator for this fantastic place.

This museum has a lot of stone statues and sculptures from the middle and eastern UP area of India. However, the statues require more care and preservation. They have beautifully laid some of them outside the building in a garden, but the garden needs to be beautified and the statues should be placed inside a glass box from getting bad. The interior of the museum should also be redesigned because right now it just looks like it is hosted in a school or a hostel building. The showcase showing the life and history of Gonds is a good one.
