One can also go for cycling in the park. Special cycling trail is present. Kindly note this option is only available till 2pm. You can take cycle ride but you cannot bring your they provides on rent, well maintained cycle track of 12 KM.Theres a restaurant also where you can enjoy several food.5.5 KM from Jabalpur Railway station and it is on the way to airport.You can spot dear, Birds, Crocodiles too. Childrens will love this place.Total area of this Nature Reserve is nearby 1800 acres (as per authorities, which is Jabalpur Municipal Corporation) and as per source of govt. this place started to establish from 1883.So overall it is best place to visit and spend your whole day in the lap of nature and the monsoon session is the best time to visit.(all the pictures are clicked in April 2017)

Beautiful place. You can go for a walk in the jungle, monkeys are commonly visible. Sometimes, deer and peacock can also be seen. Theres is waterfall also, but it develops only in monsoon (if rainfall is good enough). Good place for children also.

Yaa its good, but not in summer.. Means you can enjoy it in spring season where there is no hot day .. And everything is fine specially the train that is awesome, you can see some animals like peacock and deer thats it , nothing more than that.. Oh! I forgot about monkeys they are everywhere.. Nothing that impressive. Have a huge lake. You will get some good photographs. We didnt see even a monkey or crow in that total area.But one best thing is, there is a Bicycle track around the entire park. You can get a Bicycle on rent and roam around the entire area on your own following the cycle track.There is entry fees and parking charges.

This place is wonderful you will be mesmerized by walking around this lake in the Dumna National Reserve.Entry Fare: ₹20 for single adult.Parking fare: ₹20 Entry + ₹10 for bike parking.What if you go hungry after having a long walk in this reserve ?No issues they have got a restaurant..yes you hear it right a restaurant in a reserve what else do you need.

People who do the management there are kind of rude and do politics only 😶 typical public place experience and we were not allowed to use cycles ( bcos some bigshot was coming for inauguration of ICH) Get ready to be disappointed, bcos you wont be seeing any rare wild animals here. Max youll sight is deer and crocodiles only. The place is well maintained and have enough parking space.

It is a good place near jabalpur, from railway station it is 5.5km, it is on the way to airport, in morning here many cyclist comehere, u can njoi cycling trail here,which is amidst jungle, sightings of deer, wolf is common, on sundays you can njoi, picnic, a mini toy train ticketing 10 rs is wrth, entry ticket is 20 rs for nature resrve, they have cafe called kalchuri cafe, opens at 8.30 am, for children they have, swinging arms, slides etc, soon they have indian coffee house. 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏❤️❤️❤️❤️

Dumna nature park is a beautiful place to visit with a charming nature and greenery. It is just a relaxing and calm place . You can enjoy cycling and it would be a delightful experience for you.

Recently I have visited here with my college friends. I personally dont like the places however I enjoyed just because of my friends company. If you are planning to visit here with two or three peoples than believe me you will not feel happy at all.Here is nothing to see. Even deer are rare to see. And for summers this place is worst. The grasses are also not maintained wisely. In summer tree are completely leave less which will not give you good feeling.Yes but still if you are planning to visit here than also make a plan to have a trip to Maggi Point which is situated near to Dumna Nature care.For Bike they charge 20 rupees and 10 rupees per person. No Idea for four wheelers.

As per name Nature Park is a natural beauty park, But it looks dry forest. It is good for personal group parties also good for couples. Having 10 rupees entry fee. And extra 100 rupees for cycling if you are interested.

It is a good location for spending some leisure time but work is going on for renovation so there is lot of sound and dust around. Mostly college going couples are frequent visitors to the spark and rarely we see family groups. There is a restaurant where we can have some food. Plastic bags and other food items with plastic are not allowed inside the premises.

No drinking water arrangement, sitting arrangement is also not good, urinal facilities for ladies and gents not available. Lack of maintenance was seen. And so many problems.

It is good place for the nature lovers and so called lover.If you want some peace for your life you should try this

The good time to visit the park is Sunrise so you can do cycling & can go around (6am to 12pm). If you could not make it then you can visit evening hours prior sunset but you can’t have a cycle ride. At all times very easily you could spot Deer’s but very rare to spot other animals. Unfortunately I was not able to spot crocodiles though. The butterfly park is completely empty which was disappointing. The Train Ride Inside the sanctuary was commendable. Evening hours there was no street lights,cab or auto facilities from the park. Hope the concerned authorities take effective actions against it. So u have wait in the main roads to pick the cabs returning from Dumna Airports which usually costs ₹150-200 bucks. I was a solo traveler & I enjoyed the most.

Its a nice place for children for enjoying . A big lake is beautiful and major center for attraction. Kids also love to ride train. Bushes and plant height are more than 8feets which child love to play hide and seek.

The forested area provides rainwater to feed the Khandari Reservoir. The place, along with Lower Gaur forest, is described in Captain James Forsyth’s ‘Highlands of Central India’ as a favoured place for tiger shoots for British officers. It is an ecotourism site open to the public located in the Jabalpur district of the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh.It includes a dam, forests, and wildlife in a 1058-hectare area. Wild animals, including chital, wild boar, porcupine, jackals, and many species of birds inhabit the park. Sightings of leopards have also been reported in and around the park. childrens park and a restaurant are available. A hanging bridge, tent platform, rest house, fishing platform, toy train, and boating are other attractions at the nearby Khandari Dam. Activities in the water, including bathing or swimming, are prohibited due to the presence of crocodiles. (Source-wikipedia)However on our recent visit we came to know that the govt has been trying to destroy this priceless ecological treasure for redevelopment project and construction, owing to which the locals have have been protesting amd resisting this trying to same the Dumna forest. Right now there is a HC stay in place against the deforestation of this reserve but they need media attention towards this issue to gather more traction to these efforts in trying to protect Dumna.

Very nice and beautiful place for spending a weekend ...very calm place to visit a place away from the crowd and noice and pollution very peaceful place ..having a very good cafe to spend time in a greenery forest ...beautiful lake having a water system from British time when britishers ruled our country at that time they built the water system and it is still in use till the day the water is supplied to all over the area of jabalpur ...a lots of trees and plant you can see there a different variety of species with full detail have been present there...

Nestled in nature, with a view to waterside. Its a good attempt to bring in some finesse to otherwise ignorant and derelict municipal council. However the place has innate potential to be hundred times better than what is right now, but I guess the passion and will of administrators is apparent. The toytrain is a very nice touch , the food is good. And that is the only reason for 4 stars. Someone looking for pollution free outing it is very good. However would urge the administrators and section makers to put some more effort to develop it to the best of its potential. Up the entry fee if lack of fund is an excuse towards lack of creativity and passion.

We went early morning. It is on the way to dumna airport Jabalpur. We went to basically to see khana overflow but it was closed but we were hiking on the jungle . We were lucky to see Hiran and wild 🐃 . It is around 4 km to walk .

Very nice place for hanging out in the nature or for a forest bath with some friends company or otherwise. You can get entry at a very low price of about 10-20 indian rupees. However if you want to cycle, it charges about 100 bucks per person. I really suggest to do cycling there once, there is a 11 km track with rocky terrain. There are ponds and bridges in the way. One can easily spot a deer, monkey and several birds on the way. Although try that only if you have substantial physical fitness. Because there are varied inclinations in the cycle track. Another thing to mention is that you will be asked to get a guide with you which will charge another hundred bucks per group. There are restrooms inside and a canteen. You are not allowed to take food items inside and if you do they might fine you for five hundred bucks. There is butterfly reserve near the canteen but I am told it is no good. In the term that there are no butterflies there whatsoever. Talking of which, I would recommend to visit dumna in the golden hours of sunrise and sunset because that is the time of least traffic and you can get the best pictures in the best lighting. You might wanna take care of the timing though.

Its a nice place or spending some quality time wid ur family n friends...(well u can see most of the colleges couples here).... u will feel close to the nature here...but I have deducted 2 stars because the pathways here is under construction...and the bicycle trail(path) is also under development ....the train condition looks pathetic...but may be when the season comes they will start at that time....rest is good ambience is nice here....do come here once...the opening time here is 7am and the closing time is 6 pm or before sunset....hope the govt. Developes bicycle path soon here....

Best place like Resort. Good Restaurant, its on the way to Airport. Near to Army area and University campus. I recommend every one to visit this park. Thanks to Nagar Nigam for maintaining. Well Educated staff on Ticket Counter. Must have a ride on Toy Train. Its around 2km round. Thanks to the driver uncle. A small station is built. I request all the visitors to keep the premises clean.

It is a nice natural park around the Khandari lake. The main problem here is transport, although it is not very far from Jabalpur town but no regular public transport is available. One has to hire a cab for to and fro journey from the town to the park.Best season to visit the park is Sept to Feb. Plenty of Birds are available with deer , monkey and peacock.

Good place to chill out with your gang! A cycle track has been laid recently and it would be real fun to go on a cycle ride in morning time! They charge 100 rupees per bicycle (geared ones) and a guide will come along with you to guide. Not much animals present inside but its really a good experience. We got to see deers, stag, boar, crocodile and peacocks. They are developing the place to attract more tourists. Food inside is okay-ish. But are expensive.

Its not crowded at all- perhaps due to Covid fears.RatesRs 20 for a carRs10 per adult/ children freeThere is a cycle trail - and it has an exclusive track - so you can see some animals on this.Rs 50/cycle (permit for your own cycle) so its Rs 150 for 3 cyclesorRs 100 to hire a cycle from their own stock.Addl Rs 100 to have a Gaurd/Forest Rep to cycle with the group- Mandatory.The best time is 0600h - when it opens.it has a resturant inside - clean layout inside. Menu is Veg and limited but tasty. The toilets are modern and clean also.Overall a good outing to recharge your batteries.
