Great cab company as busy as they get. They do their best to try and take care of everyone. They get busy night have to wait but a very trustworthy company. Rates never change during busy times or not.

We called the company at noon and made reservations for 2pm. They called at 2pm telling us the driver is running late. Now it’s 2:30pm and the driver hasn’t showed up yet. When we called again, no explanation or apology was given. The previous day we also used this cab company for a return trip from the nearby state park to Ithaca, the driver didn’t even show up after one hour. Horrible service. If it wasn’t because we couldn’t get Uber or Lyft here, we would definitely not use it anymore. Not professional at all.

I need a taxi to the airport at 4 in the morning. The driver was on time and very professional. Great service.

WHATEVER YOU DO, DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS SERVICE. THEY ARE NOT RELIABLE AND LEFT ME STRANDED WITHOUT A RIDE AFTER I MADE THE RESERVATION! If you truly need a ride for some event, DO NOT consider this company as a safe option. I have heard horror stories about this taxi company but still made the reservation on some string of hope. Complete disaster.Called in from supermarket, and was told that there was a wait. I made the reservation (the operator confirmed my home address, address of supermarket etc) and I stayed at the supermarket waiting for the ride. At the three hour mark, I called in and the operator (my third time) to ask where the taxi was they told me THERE WAS NO RECORD OF MY RESERVATION! What? Extremely angry, I told them to please send a car whenever the next is available, and they told me they would call when the car was out for me.At this point, I was able to contact a friend to pick me up an hour later. And guess what ? The taxi company never called me to confirm the car was coming. They completely disregarded my reservation; if it had not been for my friend I would have been stranded. Zero stars if I could.

They were on time to pick me up but made me wait for almost an hour to get picked up and the second cab driver drove like an a-hole so I didnt feel to safe

WORST SERVICE EVER. My mistake was not seeing these reviews before. I am rating them 1 star simply because zero or negative options are not available. I spent 1 hour on the phone scheduling rides in advance and talking to more then one person and when the day came, there were several problems:1) the first ride was 20 minutes late from the scheduled time2) when calling them to inquire about that first ride, we learnt that the rest of the rides were NOT booked in their files, so we were not able to ride with them at all because we wouldn’t be able to come back from the place3) the phone attendants were the rudest ever: instead of apologizing for the clear mistakes in service, they were insulting us. They even said they couldn’t guarantee timely pick up because the day was busy. This is the whole reason why I spent so much time in the phone scheduling in advance in the first place!They literally have ONE JOB, and they rather lose the revenue than providing the service correctly (just correctly, not even outstanding quality or anything).Again, worst experience ever. Just book a private driver for the day. That is why these are able to charge so much for services, because taxi in Ithaca is just unprofessional and useless and uber/lyft is not available.

The service is bad, and we called them 4 times to pick up, the car never came in 1 hour, and they lied to us. This service did not give us a license plate or phone number to contacts the driver. on top of that, they were ONE HOUR late to our pick up address. the receptionist was rude and yelled at us for asking about the car. completely unprofessional and unacceptable.

Dogwater cab company, made reservation for 7 for 60 dollars. Day of they said only one car for 6 was available and would cost 105. I’d give 0 stars if I could. No wonder Uber is doing well here.

Terrible service, was basically attacked by a driver. I waited and they let someone take my cab then I waited for another hour and they forgot to send one, then they sent a 2nd one which was a white car, the driver pulled up acting hysterical because I was trying to direct him to where my belongings where. He grabbed one of my bags and ripped it to pieces, when I asked him if he would go to the store to get a replacement he refused and so I put my bags and new suitcase in the car so I could go get a new one and he must have pulled off as when I came back the car was gone, but he put all my stuff on the curb. I then proceeded to call the company to tell them and see if I could get another car. At first they seemed as though the were sending one then a lady got on the phone and said she knew the driver and there’s two sides to a story and they would not pick me up. Terrible service, terrible everything. I plan to file a complaint with the bbb and anyone I can regarding the driver, the dispatch and the company. Just terrible all around. Everyone there should be fired.

Driver was late, so I called the dispatcher to check if the driver was on the way. He told me that if I was going to call him again, he will CANCEL the ride. (Called about 3 times after the scheduled taxi was late). I wouldn’t use this taxi service ever again. When I got on the cab, it was at least 15 min late.

Liars. They told us to just wait for 10-15 mins and would pick us up, but they didn’t and kept us waiting for 1 hour. And we even saw one of their driver go past us, he stopped for a while and saw us, but didn’t pick us up.

Our driver was Alan. We had to make one unplanned stop as well as one that I can confirmed with the dispatch prior to being picked up. I was told it would be appropriately a half and hour and it was right on time. The driver called when he was outside and he was very polite and conversational. It was a late night call and my friend was slightly intoxicated, which Alan handled in stride, with a good sense of humor. He practiced Covid safety measures and was just an all around nice, professional driver.

I called them on 4/8 to request a taxi home from the airport. The dispatcher said it would be half an hour. My call was STOLEN by some college students who intercepted my call time. The driver said he would return in 15-20 minutes; my husband & I had to wait an extra half an hour! An hour wait?!?! No thank you!! PLEASE improve!!

The absolute worst. Slooooowwww. Plan on waiting an hour plus most times. If you need to be somewhere in a timely fashion, this aint the cab service for you. Every driver will give you a different rate to the same place. Sketchy drivers who drive unsafe. Ugh.

Didnt show up on time, called to follow up three times to confirm location. 45 minutes later after being in the wrong location, accused me for giving wrong details (even after confirming this information multiple times and the service desk was aware of the location originally). The driver was nice but the service desk made no apology, lied and told me they were on the way when they werent. Horrible service, do not recommend.

I called Ithaca Dispatch around 8:30PM on a Saturday, my group of 7 needed immediate service from a restaurant to our Airbnb. The dispatcher was very professional and he sent a driver right away.The driver arrived on time and was very friendly, professional and the value was unmatched.I wish we had thought to schedule this Taxi service before we had even gone out to dinner because an Uber was 3x the price.

What was originally set up as a round trip was altered midtrip, so that when I tried to get back in the car the taxi driver wouldnt allow it, leaving an elderly man out in the cold in back of the hospital. Very poor.

Cant imagine why they dont have a higher rating. My experience was great. Arrived on time to take me to the State Theater and I waited about 3 minutes for them to pick me up after the show. Same driver both ways and he was very nice. Cab nice and clean. I highly recommend!

I called and they told me they would be there to get me in 40-45 minutes. I waited outside for an hour and 15 minutes in 92° before calling them and they declined twice. They were far from on time and I was very late to where I needed to go.

3 of us Visiting from NC on a time sensitive schedule, Christina picked me promptly in Ithaca and dumped me precisely at the ELM Airport after a flight reroute into the hands of my waiting transport. After cruddy airline service, she made our plans happen outside of expectation. Exceptional service by an exceptional provider. Christina saved our weekend. Highly recommend

Where can I start? Calling the cab will certainly lead you to rude responders that seem more focuse on hanging up on you as quickly as possible in place of getting your cab request right. The cabs are never on time. I have been stuck waiting for rides for +2 hours when ETA was “15- 20 minutes”. Cabs don’t feel safe. And vary in condition. Don’t use this service. Yikes.

I was quite shocked well reading the other reviews because I had such an opposite and pleasant experience from the moment the taxi arrived which was right on time. When I got in the taxi there was a pleasant fresh smell and great music playing on the radio the driver Shay was very pleasant I would definitely recommend to anyone!

I saw a van in Ithaca with a large green dot and the telephone # for Ithaca Dispatch. The male driver and female front seat passenger were both smoking and not wearing masks. I would not want to catch a ride in that vehicle after that.

I saw the reviews and was skeptical but thought I’d call this company. On a horrid day, today, I asked to be brought to Cayuta from Cayuga Medical Center. I had no wait as a nice lady had dropped off a passenger and was shocked they could bring me all that way for just $28 on a bad day. The lady was nervous about driving up the hill on a horrible day and road conditions were beyond icy and terrible. I don’t blame her! She risked her life to get me back to Cayuta safely all the way up 13 to 274. We stopped off at the Dandy Mart and I tipped her whatever extra I had and wished it was more. She did a great job going slow and safe and we made it in 40 min. We had a lot in common and even lived in the same area in the past. She was well dressed and very pleasant. The only complaint is they need to put winter wipers and better tires to keep their drivers safer. They risk their lives to get us to and from safely and should be commended. This job is way underrated and overlooked. 10 stars if I could! Reasonable and safe.

Awesome service

They where to pick me up at 4:00 am to take me to Scranton airport. They were 40 minutes late and I missed my flight. They blamed the snow on the roads but other than the side roads they were fine. If American airlines ask me to ever use them again I will allow 3 extra hours not 1.

We had a perfect experience with Ithaca Dispatch. The ride was set up by hotel staff and the driver arrived precisely on time. Danielle was awesome. She gave us tips on where to go/avoid while partying in town. The return trip, again with Danielle, went just as well. Ill definitely use ID if Im in town again.

I was told to call this service to take me to the ER by a nurse because I needed stitches on the weekend when the clinic is closed.The phone call was unprofessional. On top of that I was told 20 minutes but waited for AN ENTIRE HOUR for my cab. I was in excruciating pain and bleeding through my bandages the entire time.I DO NOT recommend to anyone. If you are a student call your RCA for a ride.If I were the owner I would conduct customer service training for the people operating the phone and prioritize and respect the customers time.

Exception taxi service, Ive tried a lot of other taxis in the area and take it from me, this one is by far the best. Driver was on time and very courteous, knew what he was doing and where he was going, and had a very clean car. Also he talked to me about a new app they have that sounds very interesting!

If i could give less than one star I would! We called a cab alone (4minors) and were told it would be no less than 15 minutes. We called back 20 minutes later and were told it would be no more than 15 minutes. This is now 35 minutes, we called back and complained and then we were told that we were incorrect that we phoned 35 minutes ago and they hung up on us. Feeling unsafe as it was late at night we called campus police escort who transferred us to a different company (owned by Ithaca dispatch) who then heard only “hello” before hanging up. We then called the campus police back and they called a cab for us, only then (20 minutes later) we were able to get a cab and feeling so unsafe after the way we were spoken to on the phone we stayed on the line with campus police the entire ride back. Never use this company.

Had a white van being driven by your company get in front of me in the left lane to pass a vehicle in the right lane. No big deal. But he didnt get back over after passing. After more than ample time, I got in the right lane to pass him. As we approached upcoming vehicles, he accelerated in an attempt to prevent me from getting in front of him, unsuccessfully.After I managed to pass him, he then proceeded to dangerously tailgate me, until his exit.I can only hope all of your drivers dont drive like this. And certainly without customers inside.

Worst company ever. I reserved a scheduled ride home from my wedding. I called the day before to confirm. On the day of my wedding they cancelled the scheduled ride without speaking with me. They called 2 hours prior to the scheduled time however I told them it was my wedding day and I didnt have my phone on me. If you schedule a ride they should be there. Do not rely on this taxi service!

DO NOT, under ANY circumstance, no matter how desperate you are, expect anything but the worst service from these people. You might just end up stranded in the freezing rain for two hours... and because youre being considerate of the driving conditions and dont want to call back and bug them once youve already waited those two hours find out that they actually forgot about you and get to wait ANOTHER hour. There really cant be too many bad reviews about these guys -- dont make our mistake!!!!

Absolutely disgraceful and unreliable service. For a 7 minute taxi ride(30 min walking)they expect you to wait over 20 minutes for a cab and charge you full price... Their dispatcher has no respect for the customers time.. I had to call three times while waiting in the sweltering heat ended up canceling the cab and taking the bus. If you need a more reliable service and bang for your buck take the TCAT BUS Route 15.

NEVER USE THIS COMPANY. No light on the cab to identify it (broken). Not allowed to pull around to the airport driveway so we had to walk through pouring rain to get to the vehicle (contrary to what the dispatcher said on the phone - which was hell pull around soon. Van was dirty and smelled stale. Part way to my destination we had to TURN AROUND AND GO BACK TO THE AIRPORT TO PICK UP SOMEONE ELSE, and a lot more expensive than Uber.

I understand where theres a high demand volume however it is too cold to stand outside, leave the window open and to keep walking back-and-forth to check the horn beep before just leaving would be nice. Customer service.

I called them at 7:00pm on a Sunday night to get a cab at 8:30 in the morning and they said thatd be fine they would meet me outside my building at 8:30. As the designated time came and went, I called the dispatch to make sure they were still coming. They dispatch told me the van would be there in just a few seconds and should be pulling up right now. Another 15 minutes passed so I called again. They told me that the van should be there in a few seconds again to which I said, thats what you said 15 minutes ago, is there a better estimate you can give.. at which point the dispatch officer interrupted me and started yelling that I have to be more patient and they cant make the taxi go any faster. This call was at 8:55. 25 minutes after the time they promised me they could pick me up and bring me to the airport. I have a flight to catch and dont think its rude to check on why my taxi is 25 minutes late when I had requested the pickup more than 12 hours previously. The taxi pulls up to my building at 9:00, half an hour late, and the driver doesnt apologize, nor does he even offer to help me with my luggage. After that we take the longest possible route to the airport where I arrive after 9:30. I almost missed my flight. Not only was this a horrible experience in terms of reliability, the dispatchers were some of the rudest people I have encountered to be working in a customer service industry. I am not a difficult person or customer, but I received no reason or apology why they were a half an hour late, and was treated like dung by their employees. Call a different cab service, this one does not deserve your service.

This taxi company will try to charge your card without sending a taxi. They will not respond to your phone calls and be rude when they answer

They have given me 3 of my worst experiences with taxi services across the world.All these times, the taxi did not arrive arrive 30+ minutes later than the time they mentioned.The guys at the other end of the phone were very rude, and I think they intentionally lie about when the taxi would arrive.

Normally I dont complain unless Im really upset, the driver arrived in a timely manner and had a great personality. The trip there was a good one.However, after I was finished with my Aarons I called for a ride back and unlike companies like Collegetown cabs who gave me a specific time frame as to when they would arrive, I was told that it could dispatch there in just a few minutes. I waited outside and waited and waited, finally I called and was told that he was right around the corner. 20 minutes later he still had not shown up and I had to walk home pouring rain in a little the night and was not happy. So it looks like from now on Collegetown cabs you have my service from here on out!

I called to get on work on time every weekend because I have to be at work before the bus starts. They kept making me later and later for work. Each cab driver charged different prices to get to the same location. I was charged $3 extra for being late on time called. When theyre 15-20 minutes late you doing get a discount. The lady dispatch is very horrible. I switched to college town cabs even so they cost more they have better service so far.

Where do you think you are NYC. The thing to remember is that You have Cornell, Ithaca College, And TC3 to deal with as well. I have waited for a ride at times for 3 hours. I would get pissed to but, then I think. I am in a town full of college kids and residents of Ithaca who order cabs. Make the driver wait then never show. That is what takes the time away from the rest of the customers. People of Ithaca please take this into consideration. I remember once when I got picked up by Sherman. He had to pick up other people. When he showed up to the next pick up the person had a 430 time request they didnt come out until 445. Sherman radio the dispatcher. The dispatcher called and they said they were coming out. They didnt come out until 15 min late. It was a Cornell college student.

Left us at Watkins Glen, then when we said we were getting another cab, they told us they were going to charge my card. They drove by us with other people in the car, then I said it’s ridclous that they picked up someone else. They hung up. And would not answer the phone. I mean wow. Luckily another cab was there and we found a way home. If you want an unreliable ride, and liers, and expensive, Ithaca Dispatch is for you.

In my experience using them a few times, they are more like supershuttle than a taxi. Got picked up at airport and hotel and was with 2-4 others and it doesnt change the price. The vans they use are ancient, but I wouldnt say they are unsafe. Not a lot of options, so I will keep using them, but I sure wish Uber was available!

They messed up on my time call then acted as though its my fault for cancelling the cab, which most people would have just let them show up and not taken the cab. The women who answered the call was rude and didnt even apologize for their lack of organization. Never again.

Waited half an hour in 15-degree weather and ended up cancelling and taking a bus instead. Every time I called the dispatcher just said a car will be there in a few minutes and hung up immediately.

I have had a terrible experience with them over the past for years, but it wasnt until a recent trip that motivated me to write this review. I ordered a taxi for Syracuse Airport from Ithaca. They showed up 20 minutes late, then spent the next 20 minutes picking up other passengers from around Cornell. Then, on the way to Syracuse, the driver went on an hour long detour dropping off the other passengers all around upstate NY. Because of this hour and forty minutes lost, I missed my flight. I had to get a hotel room and it messed up my whole weekend. I tried calling after the weekend to complain and get a reimbursement, but they were unresponsive to my complaints.

If I could rate this company a zero, I would! The dispatch operator is a rude witch and the taxi never shows up when/where they are supposed to. I spent an hour + trying to get a cab from this company when the wait was supposed to be 10 minutes. Eventually I got ahold of another company and forgot about Ithaca Dispatch. They are a terrible company!!!

I called twice for a pick up from Racker Center and they hung up on me each time. I called back the third time asked bluntly why they kept hanging up? They hung up on me a third time. So far the worse customer service on the planet of customer service. Do not give this company any more business than they deserve. They dont deserve any of it.

Uber and Lyft are thankfully here. Finally an alternative to these God-awful taxis. For too long these taxis had a monopoly on Ithaca. I used to pay at least 20$ Everytime I used a taxi and now I am paying 50% of that for Uber or Lyft. Imagine to go to the mall back and fourth , I paid 40$ in taxis, can you believe that????

The lady that answered my call was incredibly rude! She huffed and puffed so much when I called for a taxi that you wouldve thought I had asked her to personally come and pick up me and my children. She hung up before giving me an estimated arrival time and when I called back to find out how long it would be and her name so that I could file a customer service complaint she hung up on me again....if this is how this business chooses to operate I will glady take my business elsewhere (which I did). If I had the option of giving a negative star rating this company would most definitely deserve it!

This company is a joke and has no regard to customer what so ever. I requested a pick up from the hotel to cornell and has been told that the wait is 8 mins...30 mins later I called and informed the car will be here in 8 mins. I asked to speak with an operator, who is very very very rude and told me the car with be here for another 3 mins. Nope! Waited for another 10 mins and no car!

I was their loyal customer despite their bad service for a while just because Ithaca is so stinking cold. This time, I was waiting for them and after 30 mins, they never came. I called and apparently the driver tried to find me and couldnt (duh, Im inside while looking at the entrance coz its - 30c outside). The problem is the Dispatch lady who was very rude to me. Sigh, problem with monopoly huh?

My friend and I waited patiently for 20 minutes at about 4am, looking way down the street we happened to see a cab and jokingly said I bet thats our cab haha even though it was on the wrong side of the street, about 2 or 3 blocks away.. it later just drove by us with us jokingly waving it down, only for me to call back 10 minutes after that to find out that was our cab all along.. so we waited for Another cab for another 25 minutes only to find out That when I called back the first time to find out what was going on that I had hung up on the dispatcher and that they hadnt even sent out another cab yet, much to my chagrin, I said that I hadnt and was met with sarcasm and irritation.. then after all that I was told it would be another 40 minutes.. long story short I walked the 2 miles back to my house.. terrible service, wayyy to expensive and they really do not seem to care at all about the customer.. I now know why I never take cabs..
