Nice place to strolling around while your are at the city centre. Easily accessible and got surrounded by local restaurants up too high end dining places. Parking spot might difficult to get during peak hour but if you dont mind just park a bit far and walk here. It is also a great place to take photo.

Very big field, clean, plenty of parking around this area - but make sure you have parking coupon 😝🙈, there is restaurant 🍜🍧🍨🍵☕ around here like Miker ~ (operating at night), Old Town White Coffee, restaurant Latif mamak food and other restaurant but have to walk a bit down to old town area. Banks and mosque are near by too✨. Padang Ipoh one of the hot spot for runner / joggers in Ipoh.

Great place to hang out especially at nite. You can take a stroll around the field and enjoy the fresh air. Situated around iconic locations. There are a number of food available around here. Kids will definitely love it. Toys being sold by at least 2 people here. A little pricey but its force good cause. Support the locals. Dont ever miss out coming here if youre in Ipoh.

If youre looking for a place to bring your family & kids for recreation this is the place, you can have beautiful scenery here besides seeing people playing football. There is a jogging track also

Historical.....and looks calm as the wind blows. Watching people playing crickets under a hot sun. The Perak flag is waving proudly welcoming its tourist to witness its beautiful scenic historical town. Even though Im not Perakian but Im proud that Im Malaysian.

Good place to jog, picnic, football, leisure walk, photos. The field is clean and in a good condition. There are low and high benches to sit and enjoy the view. Theres lot of parking too.. Go bring your family and enjoy ur good time there!

Some part of it is under some construction. So jogging here isnt encouraged. Mostly suitable for field sports such as football etc

Nice wide open spaces for jogging and various sports activities.As it is located within walking distance from Ipoh Railway station for easy meetup with friends/relatives, the location also means accessible food stalls at the nearby old town area (not to be confused with the chain restaurant Old Town!)Parking are limited but the lots nearby to the mosque are usually free unless it is Friday afternoon.

Its not a central park of Ipoh but do have joggers both in the morning and evening. Major sport events hold here occasionally. Best to jog in the morning then walk to nearby warung or kopitiam for local breakfast.....kick start of the day for some and so complete for weekenders.

Good relaxing place

During the Japanese Occupation, every morning at 8 oclock all the staff of the government offices in Ipoh gathered in the large football field in front of Royal Ipoh Club and participated in a bowing and allegiance ceremony. The premise was used by Japanese Imperial Army as a laundry house for the officers who live near by the St. Michaels Institution.

Affectionately called Padang Ipoh or Ipoh Padang located at the center of Ipoh City with the Royal Ipoh Club looking down. One of the iconic places in the city. Has been the place of recreation and official events on many occasions. The field at one time was the envy of all with grass hockey of world standards and many years ago tennis grass courts. It is still used for cricket though. Football as always. The pathway around the field used as a jogging track in the early morning or evenings.

When we arrived in Ipoh, we were too early to check in to our hotel. We decided to just go for a wander and explore. Only minutes in, I heard a whistle and yelling and my (thoroughly conditioned) football player ears stood up. We sourced it out and it was this wonderful park in the middle of town, lined with shops, bars, and restaurants, and having a football tourney taking place. Its basically a huge gazonned filed, very well maintained, where we can play football, cricket, fly drones, or kites, its very very spacious and at sunset, its beautiful, surrounded by colonial buildings, and 700 m from the old town...

Good jogging spot, theres also a nice makan place call Mikers.... Varieties of food and snack. Highly recommend for the Pizza.

Ipoh is a wonderful city in Perak with many elements of the old town feel intact. I hope that continues to remain as it becomes more an more a destination for culinary exploration!

Good ambience.But too much of youths spending time drinking alcohol beyond permitted hours.The authority must do something abt it before the 100 over years field losses its charm

This small square field is a refreshing place right in the middle of busy town to go for a walk at evening. Very active in sports activities. On weekends usually there will be sports camps going on. And yes if you have some interest in playing cricket, this is one of the places. They have a cricket pitch there. Its not common to find a cricket pitch on public fields. Maintenance wise lacking a bit. Uneven surface near the boundaries and there you step into puddle or mud! And grass also not trimmed very religiously.

You wanna play proper football where the pitch is in the finest possible condition thats the go to area but keep in mind youll have to pre-book the area in order for you to play your matches.

A good place to jog. Non tarmac but pavement. Brightly lit. Unfortunately too many Indian youngsters during the wee hour. I went there early at 5am to train for my long run but was quite disturbed with the group gathering there for beers. They also turn on the car audio speakers. Quite disturbing. No police being seen patrolling that area.You can see few groups there. They also threw snack pack or can there. Quite a lot of rubbish around the padang. If only the authority can patrol that area more often, the padang will be a great place for exercises.I have seen few aunties or family members coming around 7am for jog.
