This place is a great restaurant indeed. The environment here are so cozy and luxurious. I like how their staffs wearing a cool looking outfit. This restaurant is perfectly neat. There were no dirt at all when I visited here last time. This is what I’ve expected from this grand Indian restaurant.They serve all kind of Indian cuisines that are just right for my appetite. As I said earlier, the menu here are so wide with various kind of Indian foods and drinks. They were specially prepared by their professional chefs. They are kind and friendly too. I’ve taken a lot of pics of them and the foods here. The price are affordable for most people and I think this is somewhat worth it to eat here. I also think this restaurant is a right place to have dinner with someone special or any dinner events. You can easily reserve a VIP room or a table with just a call or email to this restaurant. My favorite food here are the kebabs. They are so juicy and very tasty. There are two types of kebabs here and that is chicken and lamb.They also has drink bar and sweets bar which is so rarely seen in Malaysian restaurants. I’m very impressed by their creativity. I like it when the bartender mix the drinks with his skills. It looks so awesome. I’m sure there are mostly professional chefs worked at this restaurant. The foreigners are commonly seen here. Maybe because of this restaurant reputation?You don’t have to worries about car parks here. There are so many park lot here. There are valet to but their services are mostly for VIP customers. They also has delivery service for nearby residential area.
Great food, bit the service charge is daylight robbery
An excellent experience, especially if you are looking to dine at a more upscale place. Obviously the prices are a bit higher but there was not an single dish we did not enjoy. There was a great variety all prepared with different flavour combinations and the staff were very friendly to help us decide based on our preferences. The only complaint was that the lamb was a bit tough compared to the best lamb curry I have had. But every other dish was stellar!
5 star plus for food. Creamy, buttery, delicious.4 star for ambience. Upscale but nothing impressive.1 star for service. Not a smile to be found here. Curt replies and non existent manners. For the service charge youll be paying, youll get better service at the corner mamak.Scrolled down to read other reviews, apparently poor service is a recurrent theme along with a dismissive and unprofessional owner. The food is amazing and the environment made the dining experience much more memorable. We enjoyed everything we ordered. We were also given complimentary kulfi, perhaps because it was on Valentines day. Absolutely loved the kulfi! You should make a reservation if youre a big group. Will visit again in future, such a gem in town.
A fantastic option if you are looking for Indian food in Ipoh. It was a recommendation from our tour guide and we went around 8pm on a weeknight. We actually had to wait for our table for about 15 minutes so Id recommend making a reservation if youd like to avoid the wait. We werent expecting white table cloths and the upscale ambiance but if thats what youre looking for, this is the perfect place. We ordered chicken tikka masala, a plate of biryani, and naan. The portion size of the tikka masala seemed small at first but it was very filling and perfect to share for two people. We also ordered a mango lassi and hot chai, which were both delicious. Its obviously pricier than other places in Ipoh, but the final bill was not as much as we were expecting considering how upscale the restaurant was. We paid about 80 ringgit for the whole meal.
Nice food ! Nice ambience ! Worth the price. I spent around 100 for 2 person dinner which is worth it consider the service and how good was the food. The waiters were really nice and polite, definitely coming here again
An upscale Indian restaurant with friendly staff and great service. We ordered tandoori chickens, mutton briyani, chicken briyani, butter chicken, samosa, and paneer. All of them tasted very good. The seasonings were enough and made us wanted to eat more and more!The lime juice we ordered was also refreshing.The place was spacious and it had a bar near the entrance. They had a good selections of drinks and mocktails. It was nice to see the bartender did his mixing tricks in front of us.Overall, the place was great and the foods were tasty. What more can you ask?
The Food is excellent! no doubt on that, but service isn’t much, the workers there don’t seems like they’ve ever heard of something called “smiling”. we felt like we weren’t welcomed there!.Also the food’s delay is insane! they take way too long time to prepare the meal! but, i guess the result will be worth your time.
A very high rated Indian food restaurant. Very good in food and environment.The food is so called original taste of Indian food. Put lots of spices make every dishes heavy tasted.The waitress is friendly and good in recommendation of food.The environment is so clean and very comfortable.They do offer buffet lunch on Friday and only cost RM35 per head.I would recommend this restaurant.
Its my first time having dinner in this place...There is a staff named Mr Jeevan who told us tht they will send the food to my table in 15 minutes. It is true the food arrived within the time. The entire staff crew was given a good service, and i appreciate it.....Quiet place and good environment...
Fantastic Indian establishment! I highly recommend this place for occasions and celebrations.The food was cooked excellently, and taste matched there presentation. Presentation was exquisite and pleasant to look.Their palak paneer (cheese curd with spinach) was absolutely beautiful. Whilst not being salty, the spinach was bright and dark green; overcooked spinach becomes brown, which their spinach was pleasantly not!Their tandoor meat platter was massive, and a sight to behold. The variety of meats can satisfy the biggest carnivore in any group, although I advise it is best shared.Their mutton biryani was nice and dry, as overcooked biryanis rice becomes mushy and falls apart. Theirs held very well, and the grains of rice are separated and well costed. The chunks of mutton without bone is such a pleasing way to share with a group.The atmosphere is clean, refined, and is a class of its own in a humble town like Ipoh. Seating is plenty and there are many private rooms and dining areas available.I would love to come back to this place the next time I visit Ipoh!
In general, I’m very happy that there is such a great place where I can spend a great time with my family and friends. Besides that, its extremely high standard of cuisine, coupled with great restaurant atmosphere. The waiters there are also friendly and helpful and most importantly the place is clean and neat.If I need to recommend someone a place where to eat well in Ipoh, it will be the Tandoor Grill.

I visit this once. But before order i did ask is this restaurant provide halal to one of the waitress and she said halal and suddenly walk away from us and she asking another waiter to replace her place and take our order. Yeahh im okay if your restaurant dont have halal logo as you also serve wine. But why one of your waitress is seems angry when we ask about halal? You should respect customer concern. Please train your waitress how to handle this issue. But another waiter is good enough and he explain to us very well regarding menu. And the food is very good also. Truly indian taste. I love it. But that waitress really make me not to come again. Thanks!

Feel like having a delicious North Indian meal in posh surroundings, but at prices that dont break the bank? This is the place. Ive been here a few times and none of their offerings have disappointed. The naan is done the way I like it, slightly thinner and crisper. We had the malabar fish recently and it was lovely to the last drop of gravy. The tandoori chicken was tasty and came with a refreshing mint sauce that was good even on its own. The masala tea was very milky, and would have been perfect if it had had more masala spices to offset its milkiness.
Worth to try even though the price is quite expensive. The taste and spices were so great and delightful. Great service as well. Nice ambience!

To anyone looking to have a meal in Tandoor Grill, pls DO NOT go to this place. It is super expensive and quantity isnt enough for a cat. The atmosphere is nice, but ruined by the poor service. Waiters will pretend they didnt see you so you will suffer from thirst before someone actually pours water for you after begging for it many times. Seriously not worth it..Ive edited this post after reading a very immature reply from the (maybe owners teenage kid). Owner asked me not to come back here. Ive been sharing this reply to show how unconcerned the owner is about customer satisfaction despite eating our money. Utterly shameless. I suggest ppl to go here and see for yourself how the waiters will pretend they didnt see you. Quite interesting!

Best for Indian food in Ipoh. Has got sufficient place for parking. Restaurant is very clean and has friendly staff and is crowded always. We eat here whenever we visit Ipoh.
I am currently sitting in the restaurant... Staff is totally arrogant... They purposely ignoring the customer... And service is totally bad... I came last night also and came for todays lunch... Last night also it was and bit I thought its the new year may be they are busy... But now the place is totally empty... But no service at all... Its been more then half an hour I am waiting for my food..
This is review 1.1 an update from my previous review exactly a year ago. I have not uploaded many pictures of the dinner we had simply because we did not order as much.Soup, naan, some sides for them and some juice. I myself doubled down on some malted barley, i believe some like to call it beer (picture of my engraved mug attached).I absolutely enjoyed myself from the second i was seated till the moment i left. The waiters were very enthusiastic and welcoming, food was served hot and within 15mins. My favourite place for Indian Cuisine in Ipoh! Their dishes are rich and flavourful, Palak Paneer is a must-order for me. Their Chicken Tikka Masala is good, Butter Chicken is yu-uh-uh-mmy, and oh, their lamb dishes are good too! Excellent service, good ambience. Well done!

Expansive but nice enviroment
Great food. Open ambience. We had their daal, chicken tikka, chicken kebab and garlic naan. Also tried their masala tea. All great food. Love the fact that the kitchen is open and visible but there’s a glass window so the dining area doesn’t smell overwhelming spicy like most Indian places :) very clean too. We stopped on our way from kl to Penang, it was a perfect spot to rest and very hygienic from a Covid standpoint

Food outstanding but slowest service in the world.Staff obviously not well motivated by management, waited more than 15 minutes just to order a drink and had to ask several times to place an order for food and get the check.Spoils what could be great as the food is first class.

Seriously the food is not worth it for its price..They charge 16% for service charge and tax but the service is not up to the expectation. Table for two is quite private but each and everytime to order and others we have to walk to the waiter..then whr is the service and why should we pay 16% just for them to place the food on the table? Simply not worth the price.

The food is moderate. They lack in waiter service. Food usualy comes late or we had to wait for a long time to be served.
Super authentic Indian food. They have lunch buffet every Friday and I highly recommend because of the amazing and yummy options ! Its around rm40+ per person. They serve Pani puree, lassi and some food Indian desserts, which are what I look for whenever I visit an Indian restaurant :D

Nice ambience for a big or small groups as it is filled with detailed decorations surrounding. Food is pretty mediocre of its taste and portion in accordance to the price paying, but cleanliness and formality is worth the time dining here.Wide parking spaces behind the building to cater big crowds. Do head by lunch time for their set meals at a valuable price.
The taste of food is really in good quality and worth trying. Parking is available with guidance of guards but the cost of food is slightly pricey. Suitable for gathering and family occasions.
Food is taste good and the environment also not bad. However, the service is too slow. I had been waiting my food to be served around 45 minutes. In between, I think the kitchen miss out our order, one of the dish was only served after we checked our order with waiter. It is because during the day I went, there was an event. The waiter even hoped we can understand their situation. Just wondering if they cant manage to serve well the consumers, maybe they could have stop the operate the restaurant for certain event.

An unexpected gem in Ipoh, a place where we least expected to find some classic Indian cuisine. Probably one of the best Indian restaurant in all of Malaysia. The tandoori chicken and mutton Rogan Josh stand out.
