Created as a result of a dream to an Avantika (Ujjain) resident Shri Dadhich, it was built in 1875. The idol has a most interesting configuration of ingredients: bricks, lime stone, masala made of Gud, methi dana, soil collected from seven moksha puris: Ayodhya, Mathura, Maya, Kashi, Kanchi, Avantika, and Dwaraka, mud from stables of horse, elephant and cow, the powder of Pancharatna : heera, panna, moti, manek and pukhraj (diamond, emerald, pearl, ruby and topaz) and the holy water from all major places of pilgrimage. The metalic frame is of gold, silver, copper, brass and iron.

Nice. Devine experience. Huge Bhagwan Ganpati idol. Largest I ever had darshan. Temple is small, cannot accommodate large gathering. Location is bit awkward. It situated at the crossing. I doubt, in peak days darshan can be easy. Even approach to temple will be tough. But these days, there was no rush. We had a comfortable and peaceful darshan.

It’s a gigantic idol of an Elephant god. Not something I can properly appreciate but it’s interesting to see.It’s nice to just sit for a few minutes to watch the locals. They walk in and ring the bell once. They then worship the god, and put a dot of paint on their forehead. Really quite nice to see.

Awesome place to visit and a place where the one listens and give judicious advice. Strongly recommend everyone to visit once. Do not go on the look of the place rather go on the intention of the guy. Rather I got their for my personal problems and he resolved it more or less. I liked the way he resolved my problem + gave clarity to my mind and now I am enjoying bhi advice.
