Shivashiv Samooh Awadhoot Ashram, a center point (Bindu) of naturally formed Shri Chakra, Near Gerua Talab. The place where, Maharishi Lalbhatta Maharaj attained Nirvikalpa samadhi. Awadhoot Kripanandnath continued this lineage. Samooh celebrates its foundation day on the pious occasion of Basant Panchmi every year. Saadhna shivirs are organised by samooh on different occasions at this place.

For religious people this is a must do.This is one of the most venerated places in the eastern part of Uttar Pradesh. People from all walks of life come here to get blessings of Maa Vidhyavasini. Politicians have been known to come here just before elections and business people come here before they start new ventures. The temple is located on the banks of the Ganges . The access is through narrow lanes which are lined with colorful shops selling trinkets and items of religious significance, just like most temples in the country.It is suggested to hire a Panda or pujari( priest.) who can get you through the crowd to get into the inner sanctum where the main statue is located for Darshan.They can be hired for a small amount of money which is quite worthwhile There is usually a crowd but there are queues which are not so orderly especially on festivals . Saturdays and Tuesdays are usually more crowded. During the Navratri festival there is a surge in the crowds so one must be prepared to be pushed and shoved.Be prepared to get your feet dirty as the areas around the temple are a bit messy.If you come by car you will have to park quite far from the temple and walkThere are a few eating places on the main road, mostly Mithai shops near the temple but nothing of very high standards. If you plan to stay the night It is recommended that one stay in a hotel in Mirzapur which is 4 Km away
