Good van and nice people at checkout, but a couple of things marred my own experience. The collection process was slow, with a 2+ hour wait after the allotted pickup time.On my return a few days ahead of schedule, I was promised a part refund by the guy on the phone, but this never happened and the Dublin branch just went tumbleweed.

Horrible. We had booked a van with them because the reviews on the Internet suggested that the quality of the vans was good, but we made a mistake. The only thing Bunkcampers cares about is money: dont respect their own terms and conditions, no commercial gesture, very far from the van spirit, dishonest people. We had booked a van to Ireland, and unfortunately Ireland introduced non-essential travel restrictions over the dates of our rental because of the soaring number of cases of covid linked to the delta variant + our country of departure imposes exit restrictions + and finally our flights were cancelled. We informed Bunkcampers of the situation very early so that other lucky Irish or other travellers could book the van as soon as possible and enjoy it. Despite the fact that this is simply against their terms and conditions (booklet book with confidence thanks to our coronavirus guarantees.......), Bunkcampers refuses to refund us and is extremely unpleasant. We will have to file a complaint. Beware and think twice before booking with them, my advice is really to prefer another one!

I am outraged, my trip is cancelled due to covid (entry restrictions to Ireland, exit restrictions from my home country, and cancellation of my air flights) and Bunkcampers refuses to refund me even though the refund is written into their terms and conditions if these covid related conditions are in force!!! This is outrageous, I dont know what to do about such a robbery of my savings. Run away.

I flew internationally to Ireland expecting to have lovely Christmas with my family but Bunk Campers left me stranded in a grim dark industrial park (their location) with my six year old son right before Christmas. They closed early, did not answer their phones during regular business hours, and after three weeks still have not responded to emails or calls! This is not a serious company and clearly they are not concerned about their customers.I booked an RV for the Christmas and New Years holidays for my 6 year old son weeks before arrival. I paid for the rental in full and confirmed the rental was still valid days before my arrival. I called and received a confirmation from Victoria. I had all the needed paperwork and exceptions to travel during the COVID restrictions. Despite all this, when I arrived in Dublin at their airport location the doors were locked, there were no RV on the grounds, and the posted local number was not answered. As a result of their breach of contract I had to get a taxi to come to this location to pick me up with my pile of luggage and child, get back to the airport, beg for a last minute car rental (super expensive), find a last minute hotel for the Christmas holidays (also super expensive) that was able to accommodate us, and then spent Christmas essentially homeless in Ireland. The Christmas magic that I was to have had with my son was robbed by Bunk Campers. What makes it worse is they dont answer any of their phones or emails.I chose this company because it seemed they were the biggest and best in Ireland. But it seems this company is no longer what they used to be. If you dont want to be left stranded at the airport by them, even after paying in full, I would recommend booking elsewhere.

Perfect choice for a camping holiday. We rented a van of the type Roadie and although it is the cheapest one, it was brandnew, clean and stuffed with all electronic features we needed (Bluetooth, heating, USB slot, kitchen etc) and got bedding stuff without extra charge. They perfectly answered our questions even on tour and took the van back without any claims, very reliable. I would definitely do that again. As a recommendation for the company, please update your homepage concerning domestic equipment of each vehicle type (we could not extract any information about the audio systems, heating etc from the homepage), because it will definitely attract more people. And as well in contrast to the information on the homepage, you will be picked up from the airport at any time within the opening times and not only between 3 and 5 pm.

We had the most amazing experience with Bunk Campers from start to finish. The van was so comfortable and wonderfully maintained. It was given to us in pristine quality (and completely sanitised because of covid). We had the all-inclusive package so that included everything you need, from bedding to towels to cooking utensils. It even included some outdoor furniture which made it super pleasant to sit and eat outside of the van when it wasnt raining. The staff were incredible, we had trouble with something late at night one of the days and they still responded to our message immediately and helped us to troubleshoot the problem. They have a series of videos as a resource to help you to navigate your way around the van which is very helpful if you are a first time camper, like we were! I couldnt recommend this highly enough and we will be doing it again for sure!

In August, we went to Ireland and rented a Campervan Aero for 10 Days at Bunk Campers in Dublin. The positive things first:The Van itself. The Aero is actually a “Weinsberg CaraBus”. Weinsberg is a german company. Like everything made in Germany, the Weinsberg Campervans are superb! Really nice and compact interior, everything just fits and works and the design is smart. Now to the negative things, unfortunately:First, I want to state that I am a modest person and that I am not the kind of guy who argues with the staff about every little details. We once rented a Camper in Iceland which was just a Bed and a steering wheel, but we knew what we bought and were happy. So anyway, the company itself makes a pretty messy first impression. When you enter their “headquarter” which is pretty close to the airport, it feels like the office is just a thrown together set of chairs, tables, cars and people. But hey, don’t judge a book by its cover. So let me tell you the story of how my impression of this company got so bad.Chapter 1: They told us we would get a brand new Van fresh from Germany (wow sounds nice). But we got a Car which was clearly used before, dirty (the tables were still sticky) and the best, the whole left side of the car was kinda pressed in. So I don’t even know if it is allowed to drive with such a car but hey, yolo.Chapter 2: So in our preebooking there was clearly stated that One FULL bottle of Gas was included. They told us that this is wrong and we need to buy a bottle for 35€. We weren’t happy with that, so another person came and explained us that this paragraph (free full bottle of gas) means the used bottle from the campers which rented the van before us (aha, makes sense). And then they told us we should buy 2 Bottles of gas (I think his name was Ryan, not sure anymore, short guy with red hair and beard). So, yeah, we bought 2 Bottles of Gas for 70€ because we are gullible people.Chapter 3: We also booked WIFI. Interesting story. Ryan (or however his name may be) pressed us a Vodafone Wifi Router in our hands and told us “yeah, just turn it on, connect and you have internet”. Ok, easy as that. It wasn’t. The SIM which was in the Router was locked, so we called them asking for the PIN. We didn’t got it. They told us (Martin or so) “Go to the Vodafone Store, buy a new card and save the receipt, we will pay you back”.Ok, no problem, we did that, we had Internet, happy times. When we brought our Van back and showed them the receipt they were like “Oh no no no, we don’t pay this back, the customers have to pay this themselves”. So I told them the story that the SIM was locked and everything, but still, they wouldn’t pay. So I took the SIM out of the Router and gave it back to them with the locked-SIM – have fun guys.Chapter 4: Lets get to the ‘finale’ of great things they did. In chapter 2 I talked about the 2 bottles of gas. So the thing is, we did not use even One of the bottles completely, so we brought back a half empty and one completely new unused FULL Bottle of Gas. So I kindly asked them if I could get my 35€ Back for this UNUSED FULL BOTTLE OF GAS, but they just denied my request. The guy which I spoke to was quite nice (long blonde guy), he ran to his superiors for like 3 times and came back saying sorry we can’t do anything. So I jokingly asked if I can let off all the Gas since it was mine. And then I got the best answer: “I cannot let off the Gas, anyway, I just rented the bottle of Gas so I can’t get my money back” – like it is my fault that I wasn’t unresourceful and wasted all my Gas. Well yeah, pretty senseless discussion which I stopped quickly. But hey they did pay our Taxi to the hotel (15€) thanks to the blond guy – thank you for that. Also the van was spartanic with equipment, just 2 knives, forks, dishes and pans. No Salt, Pepper, Oil, Soap or Brush…TLDR: Good camper, bad company, cool country. Ireland is cool, I’d definitely recommend it. Also traveling with a Van is nice and the campsites are cool! But NEVER again with this company.

I was a little worried in view of the previous comments but the experience was very positive overall. Several insurances are offered, it is up to you to see if you are capable of assuming the size of the vehicle with the very narrow roads of Ireland. For our part we took none and everything went well. But we must admit that it is sometimes a bit tricky when you are not used to it. When checking the condition of the vehicle, be careful to include everything you can see (scratches, impacts, etc.). The condition and cleanliness of the vehicle were far from beyond reproach and some interior equipment was not in perfect condition (blinds, armrests, broken coat rack ...). Our Aero model, although a bit large for Irish roads, was perfect for two in the off season, especially thanks to the heating! The equipment provided for the kitchen was perfect, however beware nothing is provided for the laundry if you do not take the option (not even the pillows ... !!) to provide so ... No parking concerns for spend the nights, when no campsite was on the program. Do not hesitate to contact the callcenter who is very responsive, and the staff are very professional and helpful. In short, maybe our opinion is due to the period (February), but we had a superb stay and highly recommend Ireland and Bunkcampers!

Took the car for 9 nights. Everything went great. Passed quickly and without problems. Full tank full. Mail answer very long, better to call. Rights were usually pink. International law did not ask, although did for the trip. To book a car for July is better for 5 months. It was not their insurance that was insured, so the deposit was € 2600. The deposit was returned the day after the car was handed over. For an m50 fare they will take an extra 5 € for each fare.

Never again Bunk Campers location Dublin !!!(Never again Bunk Campers Dublin !!!)Travel time October 2019/12 daysBased on our experience in Dublin, we can only agree with the negative reviews. When taking over the vehicle (Aero / 2 people) there was a lot of bureaucracy to do, although we had already booked through a tourism company in Germany. This procedure took ~ 45 minutes! We had to Fill out difficult to read forms. In the end, we were offered some additional insurance. However, as already described in a previous review, none of the insurance covers everything. We had already booked CDW insurance through the tourism company in Germany. In the end, we let ourselves be persuaded to take out insurance covering damage to the windshield, tires, etc.Vehicle handover / declaration and logging of existing damage inside and outside was then carried out quickly. The vehicle showed a number of damages, some of which the employee only entered the protocol after repeated requests from us.In order to drain the gray water, an original tool was missing and we only received a pair of pliers (without further explanation) on request, which proved to be rather impractical in the further course of the trip.Fresh water was not filled, a headlight bulb was faulty, a sun visor bracket was glued in place, the vehicle was not really clean inside and out. After 12 days the vehicle was cleaned by us and handed over without additional damage. After a meticulous search, the employee found a ~ 1 cm big / small bump on the rear door and claimed that it was our fault.A damage report was then drawn up and our deposit of € 600 was retained. We read the same procedure afterwards in several reviews about Bunk Campers Dublin ... ... what a coincidence ???We have rented campers several times in other countries and had good experiences, so our advice: If you want to save yourself a lot of trouble, dont rent from Bunk Campers in Dublin.

Unfortunately we had to buy dish soap, swarms etc ourselves, but it was ok for us. Bad selection! The price listed on the web site has nothing to do with what they charge at the end. For a FIAT AERO vehicle with 1 double bed, kitchen and bathroom the price when making the reservation was € 469.00; when going to pick up the vehicle they told us that the sheets and the gas were an extra cost of € 197.00; then they advise you to pay an extra insurance of € 41 to cover any damage to the tires, mirrors and mirrors ...; Besides you are advised to pay extra insurance as bail so that if the vehicle suffers a knock or grated (either yours or not their fault), the money to cover it (initially a part of that money left and the rest and they make sure to keep him in the end ...). The van that was given to us had several broken things and that has made us think that the foreign insurance money does not invest in repairing the damages of the vehicle !!On the other hand, the vehicle is poorly insulated and nights are very cold. The vehicle does not have autonomous power, so you have to park on sites that offer this service and pay.
