Technically it is the highest peak in maharasthra...the highest peak in shahyadri mountain range. 1646 mtrs..the everest of maharasthra as people say it usually..the trekking is moderate and the route is very long.,.the up down will be around 12 kms ...keep glucond with u...if u want it then take it with u ..start the trek during the morng ....the climbing up will take 3 hrs and down will take 2 hrs...the peak has the temple ...kalsubai temple..the viee from the peak is awesome...try to go in oct and november....dont go during the navaratri,bcoz the route will be so crowded

Kalsubai is called as Everest of Maharashtra , 1646 meter something highest peak of Maharashtra , my dream to climb one day and i fullfill and am person who scared to look down from my 4th floor gallery 😂I completed my dream talk about the jurney , journey start from bari gaon ,best option to sart your trek from 4 am early morning its would be better for you carry torches well fitted shoes ,lot of water , carry food avoid hotels , go with your friends dont go in rainy seasons casue stairs gonna sleepery and its dangerous total 4 stairs to go to the heaven , if you are reach the top sea the sunset view its crazy , catch all in your eyes❤️

Maharashtras highest peak. 1646 meters above sea level. Best time to travel in monsoon. Start your trek early in the morning. Carry water bottle and energy bar. Dont throw used bottles and plastic items keep it in your bag.

Well it is highest peak in Maharashtra. Quiet tough to climb. May take 3-3½ hrs to reach the top. Avoid going in rainy as u worth going but will be unable to see anything just fog.

Ek number place. You should visit this place if you want to challenge yourself. Very challenging trek. Come in monsoon season. Foggy🌫 weather makes it more enjoyable. Dont come at night as their is no place for staying. The greenery is overloaded and you will love the scene at the top. You will get full satisfaction when you reach at the top of mountain, where their is a temple and a wide scene of nature which makes your trek successful and unforgettable.

I am not putting more details here but yes Its a marvelous place not good for age- 40 and above and 7 and below only not active and healthy as well same applies on everyone who are not healthy and fit still you can carry your medicines and if you are curious about life gooo on because if its not life what will be🥳🎉🥰

We trekked during the August when the rains have started to subside. It takes around 2 hrs to reach the top. The trail is well defined with small shops on the way. Stairs with iron girders are provided in difficult places.The climb is steep at certain area. It was awesome at the summit with clouds blaze past below you, driven by really strong winds. The trek can be considered as Moderate.Very basic infrastructure is available at the base village. One can have home cooked food at the base village and stay overnite (very basic though)

Kalsubai being the highest peak in Maharashtra is favourite for many trekkers . Best possible option for the trek is to reach base in evening , camp at the base and climb in early morning , which will allow us to experience the sunrise at the peak which is worth the efforts 😍

Kalsubai is a 6.6 km-long (4.1 mi) trek.With an elevation gain of around 2,700 feet (820 m). This is a one-day trek having a moderately hard difficulty level.With green landscapes and multiple waterfalls.The peak attracts many trekkers and devotees.To reach the summit there are well-designated trekking routes.The most popular route is through the eastern mountain face taking off from the base village Bari.A short distance away from the stream a Hanuman temple has been built. This provides an important landmark to commence the trek as well as a resting post for those nearing the final lap of their trek.The route from behind this temple takes the hiker straight to the summit.The trek along this route is a mix of easy to ascend slopes as well as treacherous rocky outcrops overlooking the valley below.*Considering the increasing footfall in recent years, the government has built iron ladders along the vertical hill slopes.

Kalsubai Peak is a very popular trek in the Sahyadri region. It is the highest peak in Maharashtra at 5,400 ft and is easily accessible both from Mumbai and Pune.  The trek offers a breathtaking combination of natural environments like waterfalls, forests, grasslands, and historic forts.The Kalsubai Temple at the summit of the peak draws people from the nearby villages throughout the year. They come to take blessings from Kalsubai Devi.  It is believed that a young village girl named Kalsubai, lived in the mountains. During that time she cured villagers and animals and also helped in village activities. One day she left for the summit and never returned back.  So in her memory, a small temple was built at her home on the mountainside and the main Kalsubai temple was built on the peak.

There is enough content available for this trek on the internet so I wont indulge in praising the same. Yes, Its mind-blowing. I did this expedition in Monsoon when it was drizzling and having Fog.Some suggestions for those who are going first time -1. Try to start the trek as early morning as possible.2. Avoid sports shoes and better opt for Trekking shoes. couple of segments in the route are slippery or muddy where there are more chances you can twist your ankle or slide.3. This trek has everything you imagine except its peaks visibility in Monsoon. Its like you are climbing and there is no termination. Same goes while decent, your legs are shivering, ankle/jaws are yelling but the base point is farther (it may sound exaggerating but I am just expressing my mind :) )4. There are decent stay facilities available at the base village Bari. You can contact them for Stay/Food. Village is small and I guess they are mainly Farmers or serving tourist needs. Local People are humble unlike rude to outsiders as like they have owned the place.Maggi, Poha and Kanda-Bhaji (fried onion fritters), Tea are available near to peak. If you are coffee addicted, you need more minded people as they wont make Coffee for less than 5/6 orders :)

It was a great experience to climb Maharashtras highest peak. For an average person, it takes around 4 hours for climbing. Remember, coming down is more difficult task here as the stones are slippery. Get your backpack ready but put minimum things because water, lemonade and snacks are available at top of mountain.

One of the best treks Ive done till date, the view from top is mesmerising, the strong breeze rejuvenates mind and soul.We started this trek in evening as we wanted to avoid the harsh sun and its a compared to some other treks this is on the easier side.There are many shops who are run by the local community members and will provide you with refreshments, you can also hire members from nearby village in order to set-up tents and food for you at the mountain top.Its a good place to visit in the winter as it gets super chilled out at night time and becomes perfect to spend time with your friends and family in the starry camp and sitting Infront of a camp fire

It seemed to easy for me. im 21 at the moment. I Exercise regularly. Meditate and do Yoga. Might become challenging for elderly or overweight people. There are lots of local stores where you can enjoy lemonades. Lots of people are around, trecking the area and proper white markings to lead you at the top. Fairly easy climb. Monkeys may prove to be troublesome, they are after food and may steal water bottles off your hands so be careful about it. We were a group of 6, 3 of them were fairly fit & reached top almost more than an hour earlier than my friends & me.If youve travelled a day before be sure to ealthy right from before 2-3 days of trecking as there are high vhances of vomitting. You may continue even after vomitting with proper hydration. Speaking of hydration. Carry at least 2-3 litres of water per person, glucon-d/ hlucose source some candies, chocolates for sugar. The total treck was of around 7 hours. If you are a fit individual trecking alone you may complte it in around 4-5 hours.

Kalsubai is the highest peak of Maharashtra, its near from Ghoti town which is situated near to the Nasik- Mumbai Highway, you can easily reach here by road from Nasik and Mumbai, stay facility is also available in the downside town of Kalsubai mountain, so you can also enjoy other tourist places nearby like Bhandardara water fall, Sandhan Vally, Ratan gad, Kaavnai fort and many more, around 3 to 3.30 hrs time will require to get up to the top of Kalsubai mountain and 2 to 2.30 hrs will require to get down from the mountain, there is small sellers are selling local food, soft drinks & mineral water bottles on to the road, on to the top there is temple of Kalsubai mata, if you love to trek you must visit to the Kalsubai, best place to visit with family & friends.

Amazing Experience for Indore village Root

I had visited here to have night trekk. But due to some issues the trekk started at 5:30. It was beautiful to see sunrise midway. Trekking on Kalsubai Peak is lengthy and level is medium. It takes min 5 hours to reach the top with regular halts. A better pair of trekk shoes is important gets proved when you descend. Beware of the metal stairs there.. They are riskier. Also dont carry your belongings in hands as there are monkeys too when use those dangers stairs. They might join you snatching things troubling your balance. One is suggested to be aware and in group while you descend and there are chances of getting lost in villages. Redt it was A wonderful experience

The trek was great though there are some weakling on the way to the peak but manageable. Beware of guides one might find there. We were charged Rs.500 for one way journey. Do carry flashlight and warm cloths. At the peak it will be very cold if anyone is planning to trek at night.Sunrise didnt excited me much but the view from the top was mesmerizing.

It is one of the amazing trek and highest peak in maharashtra, trekking is good and lot of amazing view arrived during trek,but there is on top and some shopkeeper was not so polite about camping over selves,some shopkeeper said tat you can stay in their camp cost 5000rs and all,but we are take our tent so they said forest department not allowed camping at here and all.so if you planing for this trek for camping then you don worry about what shopkeeper said just camping at the other side of temple you may find flat place from the left side of temple ladders.it is amazing expereince of camping and trekking view so damn beautiful.

The highest peak of Maharashtra !Definitely recommended for a Medium level trek.With 1,646 metres of height, it is the highest summit of Maharashtra state. The nearest station is Kasara, with base camp in village named Bari.Night trek is recommended to get the best view out of it. The sky looks amazing in the night.Trek takes around 3 hours to summit, lesser if youre an avid trekker. With medium level trek, railings and stares have been installed in the areas where its difficult to trek and makes one easier to summit the top.Guided trek, can be done independently.

YehhhhIts my second visit to Kalsubai.Highest peak point of Maharashtra.You can stay in Bari base village.All accommodation and food available by the local hotels as well as daily per person charge basis.Also night camping in peak base possible.If you want to witness breathtaking atmosphere must have to start your journey towards mountain before 6 am.Minimum 3 hrs trekking wonderful and memorable journey changes your mindset and you will surely love this place.One of important part to climb the mountain is your endurance level should be high. In the journey water bottle, lemon water available in small temporarily shops.Also Mansoon and winter is best days to visit. If youre a experience trekker and want to view in summer then only you travel.

Great experience throughout. You feel on the top of the world. Once you reach the top you get a exquisite feeling of life and success. Would recommend to do a night trek with all necessary trek gadgets.. Make sure you carry water, enough food, blankets/winter wears up. You have to have blankets if you are trekking at night.

One Of The Hardest Trek In Maharashtra....Just Completed It Yesterday The Experience Was Very Great Because I Was Climbing The Highest Peak In Maharashtra Thet Is 1646m From Sea Level.The Trekking Level Of This Trek Harder Than I Think...You Have To Park Your Vehicle At The Base Of Kalasubai.The People Of The Village Are So Cooperative & Have Very Great Sense Of Humour.Also They Know Shortcuts To Climb The Uphill.But Without Shortcuts The Trek Is Very Amazing And Enjoying.After Reaching The Peak All The Tiredness Caused By Walking & Crawling On The Way Is Suddenly Vanished....Thats All For Now I Will Post All Information In Coming Days.

A very Mesmerizing trek. As this was my first trek, I was exhausted halfway but still climbed to the top. Upon reaching the top, you forget all the pain and exhaustion. Although when we reached to the top, we couldnt see around due to excessive fog, but still the struggle to reach the top is worth it😍
