Actually its not a valley.Its a lake view area where n number of lotus are planted.The area is basically backwater area of Yashwant Sagar Dam.You can buy lots of Lotus here.Best time to visit is from October to April.Nice place to hangout with friends and family.Couple friendly.Pre wedding shooting is also possible at this place. Too much greenery available at this place.Can enjoy a half day here easily.Basic desi junk food available to buy.One can aslo bring cars and small buses.Dont come from inside Hatod village, rods are too narrow, under construction and very worst.

Pleasant place to visit, preferred timing is 8am.Lots of lotus flowers and humble natives who are eager to welcome you.Note- Carry a sit out mattress or portable stools to enjoy the lake view.....

Nice valley of Lotus, full of Lotus can be seen at once place.Visit post monsoon for good experience. Also can visit in monsoon but will not be able to explore more.There is no any proper place to sit. So ideally like a drive through space. U will get some good scenes to capture in your camera

A very calm beautiful place for photography, picnic...you can enjoy the peace of nature , it generally locates between a village area covered with trees and lakes full of lotus, thus named lotus valley ...there are too many spots for pre wedding photoshoot...,also there are horses for shoot which costs 400/couple for almost15-25 mins ..also there are decorated bycycles, swings (they charge for it) and you can buy lotus also.....and there are many small stalls in which they sell maggie, tea, chips etc....overall very nice place ...

One of the best places nearby Indore. The only problem is road from hathod is not good. You have alternate option of road from yashwant sagar but it is almost 17kms extra.

Good for photography but nothing else.You can get something to eat here but dont expect anything other than roasted corn or Maggie. you better bring something.I dont think its safe to go in evening.This place has no electricity. You may find a cop here to help.Road to lotus valley is very narrow.

Lotus Valley commonly known as Gulawat, 24 Kms from Indore is a nice place in the vicinity of Indore. From main road in Hatod, while going from Indore, one has to take left turn to reach there, many road signs are placed by locals... Interior roads are single lane (dont try to overtake). Also very narrow roads are there. If any villagers has parked his vehicle on the road then no other four wheeler can pass through. Approach roads are a big problem here. I visited two times and both the times I faced difficulties.Briefly: -1. 200% perfect for photography/pre-wedding shoot (I found people wid drone camera/ commercial cameras wearing ceremonial outfits).2. Ideal for Picnic/hangout wid friends.3. Good for nature lovers.There is a clean water lake and in its muddy marshy backwater there lies hundreds of lotus. A dense bamboo forest makes location perfect for photography. You need to explore the things at your own. You may find good spots of your interest on either side of the road just adjacent to the lake. Food stalls on Sundays are there having snacks/tea. You may find people cooking daal bafla, having tiffin party, short boat ride in the marshy lotus lake, horse riding, desi jhulas.....A small temple is also there.The place can be clubbed with Bijasan, Gommatgiri, Pitra Parwat on the way and Yashwant Sagar (10 Kms further).

Getaway to Gulawat Lotus Valley, Indore. It is Asias Biggest Lotus Valley which is located 25 km from Indore at village Gulawat 5 km from Hatod tehsil. Best route is to go via Indore airport as road from Pithampur to Gulwat is under construction and presently a dirt track.Lotus Lake offers breathtaking views of the lotus valley and is therefore a place of great interest for photographers too. Best time to visit is from October to March. There are specially prepared and decorated bicycles, scooter, open Jeep & car, swings, boats all laden with lotuses for photo shoots with very minimal charges. A discreet boat ride is a great fun.Recently, apart from tourists many couples are visiting this location for their pre-wedding photo shoots. The valley is a perfect weekend getaway place for Indoreans as the lake is surrounded by greenery which makes the environment serene. Located at one end of Yashwant Sagar, it is very beautiful and attracts various migrating birds. The valley is lush green and has a large variety of flora and fauna. The lotus are beautiful dark pink in colour which is really beautiful and pleasing to the eyes. The boat rides are prohibited as of now, however some local makeshift boats take you for a mesmerising experience.
