Yes! those are Lillies not lotuses and the forest comprises mainly of Eucalyptus trees, though there are many bamboos.The lake is basically a segment of Gambhir river that makes the huge Yashwant Sagar lake a few kilometers ahead . Basically this place is mainly used by the couples and pre wedding shoot . its a government place but the licals occupied some places and demand money for taking pictures on there occupied places.

Getaway to Gulawat Lotus Valley, Indore. It is Asias Biggest Lotus Valley which is located 25 km from Indore at village Gulawat 5 km from Hatod tehsil. Best route is to go via Indore airport as road from Pithampur to Gulwat is under construction and presently a dirt track.Lotus Lake offers breathtaking views of the lotus valley and is therefore a place of great interest for photographers too. Best time to visit is from October to March. There are specially prepared and decorated bicycles, scooter, open Jeep & car, swings, boats all laden with lotuses for photo shoots with very minimal charges. A discreet boat ride is a great fun.Recently, apart from tourists many couples are visiting this location for their pre-wedding photo shoots. The valley is a perfect weekend getaway place for Indoreans as the lake is surrounded by greenery which makes the environment serene. Located at one end of Yashwant Sagar, it is very beautiful and attracts various migrating birds. The valley is lush green and has a large variety of flora and fauna. This place is only for photoshoot. And that too swings, cycle, boat, grass and wood decorated with artificial flowers and they charge ₹10 per member if we want to click photographs. And no other things are there. Boat was there but that service was not available when we visited there

Place is good. Parking issue in weekend and traffic jam from lotus valley to main hatod road. Otherwise place is good. Attraction of this place are Freshness of lotus, close to nature, lake view. Many selfie and photo points but all are chargeble. Avoid weekend visit if possible.

Lotus velly cool place

Visited recently after lockdown has lifted. Nothing much was there to see.only a few fields were farming lotus at that moment. Best time to visit may be april march.
