I am taking the time to write my experience with Hansa Holidays because I dont want the same to happen to anyone. My round trip was booked from USA to India with British Airways. I happened to know from a friend 36 hours before my travel date that UK requires a transit visa even to change flights at the same airport. I requested Hansa Holidays that my flight be cancelled and I could apply for the visa and book again at a later date. Instead I was forced to change my date by the staff for a huge amount of money. The change fee that they charged was equal to a new ticket. They only revealed the change fee after the flight was booked. I asked them how much it would cost to change but they said they dont know until they change it. Usually when you book your own flight, even for a non refundable ticket you get partial money back. The fare part will be lost but you will still get back taxes and fees. But I was told that if I cancelled, I will not get a single rupee back and I was forced to change for a full price of a ticket. I was also blamed and yelled at by the rude staff for causing them trouble to change. They were supposed to help with the booking by checking my Visa etc., instead I was blamed. I strongly advise anyone for using this travel agency for your trip booking. Its unreliable and cannot be trusted.
