Not that much clean restaurant... All tissue papers will be down of table.. And food if u can take parcel.. Its better... And tasty.. U can go home and eat its so much better. For tasty 10/8... And cleanliness 10/4😅..

I was a big fan of this place from 2014 to 2017... After many years I visited this place and Ambience was the same and food quality was bit reduced. Being a spicy food lover, I felt the biryani was more Spicier. I feel that the place lost it charm and seen very few customers coming to this place. Overall its a decent experience.

New Astoria has been recently renovated from a fire accident. The interiors and ambiance is fine. Cutlery looks very old and has to be wipes with tissues when presented. Menu is vast and has wide of options for both veg and non veg. The quality of food is average when compared to restaurants around it. Hospitality is also so so. Overall due to advantage of locality this restaurant can be visited rather than for its taste and ambiance.

I was told that, it is a good place quick lunch and great Biryani but I was pretty disappointed with Biryani and others. Ordered chicken biryani, drum sticks, Prawns and mutton Biryani. Mutton biryani was ok but chicken biryani is below average . Pranws were amazing though. Just amazing. Melted in the mouth just like Butter. And drumsticks were just worse. They are dry, crunchy patty outside is tastes like burnt flour.

After a disappointing experience at BawarcHis last night, we went basically next door to the New Astoria today. Here we received what we were looking for, a masala and meat rich mutton biryani. I gave it 5 stars, my companions 4 stars. They would have given 5 stars but found a little too many bones. Also the presentation was excellent and the service very friendly and efficient. Also, unlike at BawarcHis, our jumbo dish was covered while eating, keeping the biryani warm. The atmoshpere was also nice and spotlessly clean. If you want a REAL tasty biryani in a nice place , come here instead. Akshay, your auntys biryani still tops my list, but todays comes mighty close.

Had a decent size family function and the food offered was not only awesome in taste but also fresh and authentic....just like home made food.In times of covid, Astoria is definitely trustworthy. Even if you complain about the food being stale or tasteless, they simply make you pay the bill first and then behave rudely saying, this is how it is. They even say, come back only if you want. Basically they dont need the same customer back and take pride in something that no one knows. I will NEVER visit this place in my lifetime and pray that Govt take some steps to shutdown such restaurants.
