Decent place at reasonable prices. Veg thali costs around 130 bucks. Theres no non-veg thali as such. So I generally order a thali followed by some sea food, appam and parotta. Their crab curry/fry is okish. But prawns n fish are a must try. They have marinated fish for display. One can check which variety they prefer and get it fried giving special instructions.Tried tilapia this time but gonna try red snapper the next time. Rounded off this scrumptious meal with some nannari sharbat and Sharjah milkshake. PS: do not forget to try their pazhampori (banana fritters)
The one place near home serving good kerala food consistently over the years is Akson Kerala Restaurant. I know of this ground floor place since the time they had this basic facility on the opposite side of the road across the current location. It was much smaller place serving two types of vegetarian meals for lunch. one with the boiled rice familiar to malayalees and the other with cooked raw rice thali. Over the years they also renovated the same before they moved into this larger and swanky place on the first floor above manyavaar. The approach is a long steel staircase with limited landing space at the entrance door to the restaurant. once you manage this challenge, the space is warm and decent. There are 6 seater and 4 seater configuration tables. It is only during onam we reach this place for relishing onam sadya. Priced at INR 350++ per meal, which is provided in unlimited quantity serving. The banana leaf or the plantain leaf is long enough to accomodate almost three rows of dishes. All the fruits and vegetables used are part of the harvest festival marking the festival in kerala. The owners procure most of it and prepare this lavish spread to partake of. I like. the fact they gave us boiled rice as it is a traditionally had and the crisps too were mostly regional items from the state of kerala. All the items shown in video and images describe what was given . The taste was authentic and food was fresh and delicious. It was not hot that is because the place was full and crowded. We enjoyed the onam sadya and had a hearty meal. We thank the management and the staff of Akson for arranging a lovely festive feast and making it a meal to remember. Onam wishes to all. Namaskaram.
Great food. Specially the fresh fish choices. The owner was very forthcoming & eager to help out in selecting the dish based on our taste. I have been here twice & both times had the fish & parotha combo. It is generally crowded during lunch times however when we went during diner, the crowd was less. They have a small dedicated parking just below their entrance.
Best Place for Kerala Cuisine and Dishes. The Place is well maintained and Hygienic. The Hospitality of the Restaurant is almost above our Expectations. Moreover, the Prices are Reasonably Good.Note: I was surprised to hear, being a Kerala Cuisine, they are still using Refined oil instead of Coconut Oil. My request to the restaurant is to provide an option to the customers who use Non-Refined Oils at their home to choose for Coconut Oil or any other Oils as well.
Sunday was amazingly good as we had a lovely lunch. All the items was just superb, The Prawns Fry was extremely tasty and well made. Chicken Biryani was well enjoyed by all of us. The Fluffy Parotas with Butter Chicken and Egg Roast was excellent. Service by the staff was very courteous and helpful. SPECIAL MENTION ABOUT MR MOHAMED, he was so lively which made the over all experience doubly good :). I would for sure recommend people to visit the place. WE FOR SURE WILL BE GOING AGAIN..... :)......
After doing some research and with a little hesitation (with my mind thinking that I usually dont find much authentic Kerala restaurants in Hyderabad), I went in there last night to try their much hyped Prawns biriyani. Trust me, the first bite took me to heaven and right from the second bite it left me lingering in a totally different world. Totally worth the hype, I say!I have also tried their egg roast, which I felt was losing a little puchiness when it comes to flavor but their red snapper fish fry made up for it as I enjoyed the delicacy of the entire fish.Thumbs up! Ill be visiting again very soon, just to taste their delicious pranws biriyani.
Went with high expectations, looking at reviews. Malabar biryani was over, so missed it. Kappa wasnt cooked well. Fish curry was not authentic kerala style. Mutton Fry boneless was ok. Appam was ok, but already cold when served. Chicken korma was ok. All in all, Just Ok
Finally a place which made me feel home.It was a task to find a good malbar resturant in Hyderabad.A great ambience.A great spot to spend time with family/friends.A great food. The food here tastes more over homemade. Thanks for my friend who suggest this place.
Amazing and simply out of the world!! Reasonable price too.. you just pick anything from the menu.. Youll like them..
Had very good meal after long time in hyd
Traditional kerala food...... good place for fish lovers.
Great place to have kerala cuisine. Only caveat is there is no beef. Rest all items have good variety and taste. Prawns Biryani was good. Even their simple veg meals along with an aila fry is enough to make you feel happy. Their staff is very helpful and responsive too. Overall a good place
One of the best place for sea food lovers in hyderabad...
Many times I had food with akson, it was really good but try to avoid prawns fry it was harder than rubber. When I told this to restaurant they are simply looking at each other ...and no sorry
Really loved the vibes and presentation here. Onam sadhya feast was really unique. It was flooded with people. Meal had variety and quality together
Nice and spacious place. The food is authentic Malayalee though a little on the spicy side, could be toned down. Loved the uppams there
The ambience was great and the service is nice too. The food I would say was good but not great. We ordered a ton of food and a few dishes were delicious. I would suggest• Ginger Chicken• Malabar Biriyani• Appam• Drinks - Some special grape juiceThe fish and mutton roast dishes were good too. The grape juice was awesome and is a must try here.
Argubally the Best Kerala Restaurant in the Twin cities . Authentic Taste and Proper Malyali Style food and Hospitality . Decent Ambience with Fantastic Service gives it the Cream . Famous for its Parota - Chicken 65 - Prawn Masala and many more . Its a Paradise for Non Veg lovers specially One who craves for Sea food .
Very tasty and unique type of fish dishes. Worth visiting once in a week
Went for Onam sadhya. The service is very slow. The waiters dont serve food even when asked for more serving. They serve in such a tiny spoon and nothing really falls on to your plate. There was a lady occupying an entire table and I was asked to wait. But when I got a table, they sent 2 pax to share the table with us. Priced at Rs. 350/- the quantity and quality was not worth it.I wont recommend this place unless you dont mind spending money on unworthy food.
Worst experience, if you are going as a couple. They will let you wait, change the places and also may ask us to leave. Better go in 4 + members.
Was fortunate enough to go to this Kerala restaurant in Hyderabad. Being a keralite in Hyderabad, I never got to eat a lot of kerala dishes. They cover a good variety of food for dine in. The owner and the waiters were very delightful and warm. They took their time to explain every small details of dishes and were able to help us choose the food. Decently priced food with good quantity and quality. Would recommend it for people who wants to try Kerala food.
Most of the items are good and reasonably priced. Kerala meal is a must try. But the place is really small. At max they can serve to 10-15 people.
Trust me best South Indian taste!! Delicious and yum♥️ Good food with nadan taste🤩
A true kerala restaurant running for more than 30+ years. A perfect Nadan restaurant
Good decent place spacious with sumptuous delicious menu on the offerThe staff is courteous and hospitableGo out of there way to make you comfortable..... what else could you ask for?
Great experience. Good food. Good service. Must visit once.

So nice Restaurant where u can find kerala taste.Very Good Ambiance and tasty food . Very first class Waiters who serve food . Planning to try all dishes wish they have . So I can comment again and again for others. Worth for money. I tried mutton with kerala porotta. And had one famous Nannari Sarnath also. So tasty so happy. Thank u Akson restaurant for making my dinner delicious.
Taste is goodOrdered paratha with butter chicken requested for more spicey.Food was light and tasty especially papadShould add to my regular restaurant list ;)
One of the oldest places which has stood the test of times, but never compromised on their quality, standards and pricing. They are famous for their Kerala cuisine. Some of their must try dishes are parotta, egg roast and curry, kadala curry, puttu, fish fry (prices vary according to the size) and Kerala style Malabar biryani. They also serve fish meals with boiled rice. Their ambience is pleasant and their prices are unbeatable. Must visit place if you like Kerala and sea food.
All their dishes are good. Grape juice was next level. 😍
Grape juice will be yummy. More of sea food
One of the very few Kerala restaurants in Hyderabad. Its in the 1st floor of the building. Didnt find any specific parking area for the restaurant, may be common parking for the building. Seafood lover can enjoy different types fish fry with kerala meals (both white and brown rice). Didnt feel fish biriyani as kerala style . Have to try other dishes also.
Good kerala style food and ambience. Value for money
Superb Fish. Great Ambience. Enjoyed well.
Best Kerala food experience in Hyderabad especially pallam puri, Malabar paratha, Neichor ghee rice
Nice sea food..Prawns biryani superbFish fry awesome
In the mood for Malabar style food this is the one to go for especially if you are in the mood for Fish... Reasonably priced for the taste and quantity... Friendly staff and best is to ask them to describe the dishes if you are not sure what it is...Must try dishes Fried Fish which is cooked perfectly in terms of spices... Malabar Parota, and Mutton Biryani are also fantastic... The Prawn Curry might be a tad spice bit is a great complimentary item to add to the meal...Food - 4.5Service - 4.0Ambience - 4.0
I was a regular customer and I recommended lot of friends to have good sea food here. But this time I felt bad with the food quality. I got a spoiled taste of kappa. Prawns biriyani and even curd they use to serve was not as the past. I think this would be my last visit. Thanks Akson.
If you order online means its not good. They providing non quality rice online booking. and the offline experience was the nice quality of food was nice
Food was ok. We were excited about this restaurant after watching in a Celebrity YouTube channel. We expected the same food in Banana leaf, but unfortunately that was only for shoot. We ordered Appam, Chicken kurma and fish fry. Food was good, but fish fry was not upto our expectations... overall good experience in Kerala food
Loved it 🔥💓 One of the best kerala restaurants in Hyderabad 😇 the experience was too good... The behaviour of the staff members😍... The food; it was as good as expected 🥘🥗🐟🐠🦈🦀🦞🦐🐔fish curry, fish fri, crab roast, squid, prawns fry/curry, liver roast, kappa/tapioca, pazhampori/banana fry🤤💓... Thats called a Home Away from Home... Best place for fish & Non-veg lovers 👌Tasty food & decent place.. Highly recommended.
Superb quality food..... good responsible.staff
Very popular malayali restaurant in punjagutta... It used to be a small cafe kind of place at the corner.....now they have moved opp side above manyavaar .1st floor.Popular for Parotta...motta curry
Very conviniently located near Panchagutta circle. Pleasant ambience and decor. Recommended for Kerala food: appam, puttu, kappa along with fish, chicken or meat..They taste good and are prepared in near authentic Kerala style.PS: Better to stick to Kerala stuff. Did not find other items (Chinese/indian) any interesting..these are strictly okayish..
Ive been wanting to visit this place for a very long time. Finally visited them last week with friends. The place serves kerala delicacies. They have amazing sea food options apart from fish and prawns including crab, squids.Starters :We ordered - Prawns fry. This was literally the best Ive tried in recent days. It goes so well with Parotta they have. The Parotta here is so good too. It so flaky and soft.Main course :We ordered - Chicken roast, Pomfret fish fry with Appam and Parotta.Chicken roast was good. It is a little less spicy for my taste. But it was cooked well.I did not much like the Pomfret fish fry.Lemon juice was good too. This really is a must visit place. It is really affordable and serves really great and authentic kerala dishes.I definitely am going back.
The best onam sadya I had at this place

Superb Kerala style food, fish fry was great, parotta was soft and awesome
What a delicious food served at the center of the city .. must visit.. guys it’s stomach full aha brav moment .. it costs very less .. must try
Prawns masala should be on top of your list.
Got to taste authentic Kerala meals.
Best kerala food in the locality.Old one is bit small and often feel congested. This new location is very nice and spacious with good interior decoration.Parota and Egg curry are the most selling items here. Chicken and fish are also good.Biryani is bit different, unlike hyderabad dum biryani the rice used is different and cooking method is totally different. Some may not like it. So be prepared before ordering.Do try Nannari in summer.Overall it is a place where we eat on and on and on.....
Akskon.. you can get awesome Kerala cuisines..Tried all type of biryani.. every biryani is different taste. here must try fish items.. fish biryani.. was excellent..Try parota with chicken curyy.. yummy combination.. after shifting location it was very huge place now.. quick ordering.. interior is also good.. try if you wanna taste Kerala variety in Hyderabad..
