The world’s longest wardrobe, vintage cars and precious antiques adorn this royal palace that fuses European and Indian styles of architecture.Purani Haveli is a fine example of India’s blend of architectural styles. The complex was originally built in the 16th century, but 200 years later was renovated to add European elements of style. Shaped like a horseshoe, the complex comprises a palace, a museum and a school. It is also the home of the “world’s longest wardrobe,” vintage cars and lavish antiques. The Nizams first occupied this palace in the 18th century. Admire traditional clothes from the Nizam era in the famous wardrobe. The space is 240 feet (73 meters) long and occupies two stories. It is located in one of two halls that are 1,000 feet (305 meters) long. Take a look at the old, wooden elevator, which is the oldest hand-cranked wooden elevator in India. As you walk through the palace, look down to take in the intricate mosaic floors and tiles all around the building. Then walk out into the Indian-style courtyard, which is in contrast to the palace’s European facade.Visit the museum to see antique relics and family heirlooms. Browse the collection of silver and gold items, such as a model, made of gold, of Hyderabad’s most famous buildings. Don’t miss the 1930 Rolls Royce among other vintage vehicles on display. The palace is open daily from morning until late afternoon with the exception of Fridays, when it is closed. There is a small entrance fee and an additional cost if you want to take photographs within the building.Find Purani Haveli to the south of the Musi River. Take a bus to the Purani Haveli or Mir Alam Mandi stops that are located near the entrance. There’s a train station 0.6 miles (1 kilometer) to the east, a 10-minute walk away. While in the area, also visit the Salar Jung Museum, which is a short walk from the palace.

This is a U shaped building in Hyderabad. It is a single storied building that is surrounded by two double storied building. It is built in European style and was the resident of prime minister of Qutub Shahi court. It was built in 16th century. You can find a lot of unique and ancient items here. There are a lot of courtyards, balconies and mosaic decorations in the halls. This monument is opened for many tourists except on Fridays. It is an important tourism attraction that stands as a reminder of olden architecture. This building is spread over 40 acres of land and is a majestic sight even today.I hope you will have a very great trip to purani haveli ☺️

The Haveli is U in shape, with two oblongwings running parallel to each other and the residential palace located perpendicularly in the middle. The main building resembles 18th-century European palaces. A unique feature of this palace is the worlds longest wardrobe, built in two levels with a hand-cranked wooden lift(elevator) in place. This occupies the entire length of one wing of the palace.

This palace is U shape. It was the official residence of the Nizam. It was also known as Haveli Khadeem, which means old mansion. A unique feature of this palace is the worlds longest wardrobe, built in two levels with a hand-cranked wooden lift(elevator) in place. In this building complex, Ayina Khaana (Mirror House) and Chini Khaana (Chinese Glass House). Sikander Jah lived here for some time and later shifted to Chowmahalla Palace. Due to this, these palace are called Purani Haveli. The 6th and 7th Nizams were born at this palace, and both spent a part of their life at this palace. The palace also houses the Nizams museum. Very famous Salar Jung Museum is very close to this palace. It is one of the 3 National Museums of India.

Purani Haveli is situated at the South east of Afzal Gunj Bridge near Dewandevdi. In 16th century, it was used as the residential quarter of Mir Momen, the Peshwa of Mohammed Quli Qutub Shah. However, later in 18th century, it was acquired and then renovated by Nizam III. It was then passed on to his son Sikandar Jah, who, although moved to the Khilaurat complex, which gave it the name of Purani Haveli.Haveli presents a beautiful amalgamation of traditional Indian courtyards and 18th century European facades. It has beautifully designed interiors, antique furniture, vast courtyards and rooms with colourful tiled walls and mosaic floors. There is also a Nizam’s museum with extensive collection, a library and Mukarram Jah Technical Institute inside the U shaped complex where the haveli is located.

This is one of the key museum to know more about the Nizams if Hyderabad. This was an official residence of Nizam constructed by Asaf Jha II for his son Sikandar Jha. Later seventh and last Nizam of Hyderabad Mir Osman Ali Khan converted this place to the museum which houses the artifacts of Nizam and many other items related to the era. This palace also has manual lift and a huge corridor with wooden cupboards used by 6th Nizam to keep his clothes and other accessories. Now Purani Haveli also houses school and South zone DCP police office. This palace needs good maintenance and the government need to take the palace restoration project with uttermost seriousness.
