Very questionable service offered by Vivanta’s Viva substitute of Thai Pavilion. Serving staff seemed untrained and not knowledgeable. Food served could have been of much better quality. Most disconcertingly, tables are set so close to each other and a group came to sit right next to us with no masks, and the staff couldn’t care less. Businesses, that too of Taj branding, can run in these times only when they are mindful of customer safety. Very disappointed.

#GastroHogger #LetsHog #VivantaBegumpet #ThaiPavilion #ThaiPavilionRelaunch #VivantaLife #DineoutWhen a legendary property like Thai Pavillion at Hotel Vivanta by Taj decides to re-vamp their offerings and re-launch themselves, you can vouch for their preparations and post my lunch at their re-launch last week in collaboration with dineout was nothing but short of WOW. dineout off late is curating some brilliant curated experiences off late and this has to be their best but I feel bestest is yet to come.As you enter into Thai Pavilion, the decor and ambience assures you for an authentic dining experience and the whole rich red chandeliers, asian music and brilliant cutlery everything blings on right tone. When it came to food, each dish was served with utmost authenticity and most of the dishes fared really well. We started with FARANG MARY a guava based drink with chilli and salt. Apt for cleansing your palate. We then savored TOM YUM GAI (chicken soup), clean broth, simple flavors, apt herbs and overall a STAR soup. Then followed YUM MAMUANG spicy mushroom with mint and roasted crushed rice along with fresh raw mango shavings. Refreshing salad in your palate and tasted WOW alongside with YASAI ITAME - grilled veggies & bean sprouts. From starters, we got the SATAY KAI (chicken satay mini skewers), Crab dumpling with chilli XO sauce and Wok tossed prawns with hunan sauce. All tasted for apt portion sizes and were delectable. Then we had the stir fried pink salmon in ginger soya sauce. The sauce was brilliant but I felt salmon was a bit overcooked but the the noodles and sauce , the balance was almost perfect. Both the veg and non-veg assorted dim sums platter fared well with most of the non-veg dimsums carrying rich authentic flavors. From the curries, I loved MALAYSIAN CHICKEN YELLOW CURRY rich coconut flavored chicken curry, the aroma of the herbs and the coconut milk was evident that this dish aint fooling you and with the fresh aromatic jasmine rice, it didnt. Wait for the SHOW STOPPER of the lunch - DESSERTSTUB TIM GROB - this Thai dessert that consists of little red rubies (edible of course!) made with water chestnuts and tapioca flour, served with sweetened coconut milk and ice. This one took presentation to another level being served in super chilled coconut shell with its malai inside. The whole combo just worked and flavors was OUT OF THIS WORLD. I mean this could easily be the best of what we had. Also, the apple tofu and lichi ice cream served perfect partners to wrap up a satisfying meal to the top level satisfaction.Overall a legit pan-asian food-fare which satisfied by asian cravings with class dishes and simple flavors and nothing overdone or over hyped. This stands testimony for fine dining properties doing their prep to the 5/5 level. Thanks Dineoutindia for the invite and thanks to Thai Pavilion, Vivanta by Taj for a brilliantly curated lunch and top notch hospitality.

Thai pavilion at Taj Vivanta begumpet has been Thai cusine along with Oriental and pan Asian delicacy.Started off with spicy Tom yum je. Next was the spicy mushroom with mint and crushed roasted rice salad , the best salad I have had in recent times. Honey chilli lotus stem , panko black pepper tofu & Thai corn cake were the perfect appetisers...Thai green curry with Jasmine rice and yaki udon noodles with spicy tofu constituted the mains. No meal is complete without desserts , with Tub Tim grob and litchi ice cream we signed off on a sweet note. ..Service was best in the class and every point was taken care of.

The food here was delicious and authentic. The Tom Yum soup was exceptionally good as was the satay. We also really enjoyed the garlic chicken. Consistent with our stay at the Vivanta hotel, a really great service. The waitress helped us with dish recommendations and kept checking in on us to ensure everything was satisfactory.

Good tasty food that meets expectations... Ambience is not bad either. Very convenient location. Im not sure a visit here is worth the money that one ends up spending... But it is definitely an option if one wants to try some different Asian flavours...the service was nice.

This restaurant is located inside the Taj Vivanta Hotel on the first floor. I visited it along with two other friends and ordered three lunch Thai set meals which cost Rs.750 per person. The service started with Soup and next different starters were served which were tasty. Later the main courses were served along with a mock tail. We asked them for sticky rice and it was also served along with the Red Thai chicken curry. Finally a dessert platter was served where the desserts were delicious. The decor was very nice and the service staff were also very good.

I like the food here. I recently visted this place many more times and always found it worth. The hospitality here is really very good. I went there with my colleagues for dinner. We enjoyed a lot. Seating capacity is very less but staffs are very friendly. There was a girl named Sushma who was taking care of our table and was so professional. Her way to speake and all was very good. We will plan soon for the same again.

So the place is a bit on the pricey side but i feel it is worth going on special occasions. The cuisine is Thai but some dishes feel a mix from other countries ...Venue/Ambiance 5/5Really nice place with a great decor, from the paintings to the table everything was really nice (It was a little let down that so much effort was done in decor but plastic chopsticks)Music 5/5Great instrumental soothing music which is not too loud also to discourage conversation.Thai music: An ideal Thai dinner (Shazam)Drinks 5/5They have a lot of options including wine to summarize there drinks are Pure and SimpleStarters: 5/5The complementary prawn and rice crisps are really nice and traditional, the sauces are also pretty good. ( nice selection of sweet and sour)Suan La Tang SoupPla Rad PikSaigon ChickenBao Bun basket chickenVery good and very traditional ........Pla Rad Pik was a fish dish which was well made, It also felt like it was purposely shaped to look like a fish as well which I appreciate the silent effort made by them. The best was the Saigon chicken, extremely juicy with some very interesting flavors.Bao Bun Basket was also nice , very traditional where the stuffing is to be a bit bland and the accompanying soya sauce is perfect to have with it. (Last i had them was in Malaysia)Main course: 5/5Phad ThaiPla Neung ManaoThe Phad Thai noodles was quiet filling and well made, It stands pretty well as an alone dish. I was expecting it to be a bit spicy but it tasted really nice nevertheless.Pla Neung Manao is another fish dish which was giving a nice complex fish taste ( I suspect oyster sauce) , I recommend that you squeeze the lemon on top of it before having it , It really enhanced the taste for me.There are quiet some good dessert options but we did not order any.Overall the experience and the hospitality was very nice. I would like to thank our servers Sangay, Lalit and the manager(I guess) Mithun for always checking on us and asking if everything is okay. They really entertained our questions and made it a worth while evening.I would definitely recommend it for special occasions :)
