Great northern Indian food. Their service in particular is excellent. The server invited me into the kitchen to see how naan is made by the chef.

Kangan is a luxury dining restaurant at The Westin. Kangan means bangle, and the ambience is reminiscent of the same. You will find an array of bangles adorning the place, which is actually mesmerising.The cuisine is largely North Indian, and I must say, it sure has an authentic North Indian taste. The service is good, not great. Taking off a star for this. Their food is delicious, which is why I find myself visiting them time and again.They have a live kangan counter, where one can get a customised lac bangle made for take away. It is really amusing to watch the guy make it. Take a look at the video I’ve posted.

Excellent Indian food at the Westin Hyderabad. The ambiance and live music plus complimentary traditional bangle making add to excellent food offerings.Chef Anshu and Rajeev really took care of us with a set of samplers that were dialed back on the spice. Favorite dishes included the ground lamb kebab and lamb curry. Cottage cheese dessert with sugar syrup was also a fantastic balance of sweet with a tiny bit of savory. Highly recommend.

I had the murgh qorma that came in the clay pot that it was cooked with the roti the covered the pot. The price is slightly on the higher side but the food was delicious.

Amazing food and nice ambeince

This is the place where me and my friend who are hardcore non vegetarians go for some off the shelf, very tasty and equally nutritious vegetarian food.Non vegetarian food is good too but we love their vegetarian starters specially the Tandoori Broccoli and stuffed mushrooms yum yum yum. We have them everytime we are there the ajwain fish is also very nice and so is the mutton biryani. A very good and lively place for both good and ambiance for hungry bellies to the likes of me and my friend Sandeep. A little heavy on the pocket but in our opinion every penny well spent here. I go here everytime I am in Hyderabad and will visit again and again and again. The hotel servers are very helping and polite.

Visited again on 01-Jan-2020 and downgrading the review from 5 to 2 Stars.We made an online booking on 18-Dec-19 for a dinner with family to celebrate our daughters birthday on 1-Jan and got an email confirmation for the same. In the booking note itself I had mentioned about the birthday very clearly. When I called up the restaurant on 31-Dec to confirm my booking, I had to go through 5 call transfers to reach the right person who had simply no clue of the reservation. Everyone in the call chain seemed to be comfortably ignorant and proud of their ignorance and indifference. The last guy took a fresh booking for us for the same slot. When we arrived at the restaurant, we were greeted with a stupid smile and and told that there were no birthday cakes available and none could be arranged as well! I had to call the restaurant manager and show him the online confirmation of my booking with a clear note for the birthday to convince him and get the cake arranged. Would also like to mention that the chairs at the restaurant were not even cleaned from the previous days use and we had to hunt and get them replaced 4 times to finally get a set of clean chairs to sit on. Again, the staff proudly mentioned that they may be food and oil stains from previous use and were simply not in a mood to clean them up for other guests!Clearly, they have a long way to go when it comes to attentiveness and hospitality. I would seriously NOT recommend going there if you really care about having a good experience. If you are ready to take the risk, double check everything before going as the restaurant staff certainly does not care.---------------------------------------------------------------Had a family dinner to celebrate my wifes birthday. We thoroughly enjoyed the food, service and the relatively quiet and cozy ambience.We had ordered a combination of veg/non-veg dishes and all of them were just perfect as far as the taste, freshness and overall presentation were concerned.The restaurant manager asked us if we were celebrating a special occasion and arranged for a birthday cake, a small gift and complimentary desserts.We look forward to visiting Kangan again to celebrate another birthday in the family in Jan. 2020 and hope to have a positive experience again!

Authentic Indian cuisine.. their dishes are balanced in terms of taste. Comes in Good quantity.. Their mocktail selections are limited but most of them are prepared with fresh ingredients rather than artificial flavors.Ambience is cozy.. In the basement of Westin at Mindspace. Food was nice. Live music was good. The wine menu was among the most exhaustive I have seen. Each dish is in the range of 700 plus.

Ambience was good. However the items in the buffet was so less. Taste wise also disappointed. Very bland in taste that could suit only foreigners. No spice what soever.

Indian restaurant open for dinners. Limited seating. Food is Authentic Indian food. Non-Vegetarian plator is fantastic. Combination of Dal Makhani and assorted Indian Breads are delicious. Indian deserts are also very good. Do not forget to pickup assorted mouth fresheners. Unfortunately, Paan is no longer offered.

Bugs on table. I could have had a good nap while waiting for next dish to be served during the 35 course meal. Staff waiting tables is unresponsive, so if someone is not waiting your table they will ignore you. Now if we are paying Rs.71 k for the dinner this is definitely not acceptable. Food was ok not really great.

The place is a bit over priced but considering it being a part of Westin then it should not be a surprise to you. The staff was very helpful, cordial. You will definitely love the taste of the food here. Unfortunately I was alone and the quantity was too much for me. I hate wasting food but there was no option. I requested then to take back the complimentary sweet they serve but they said that I should try it.Also they have a live counter where a gentle man from Rajasthan prepares Kangans being worn by Indian women. You take a couple as a momento. I have added the live video of this being prepared.

A good place for a quiet team dinner and a few drinks. Have been here on multiple occasions and found the food and drinks to be good. Best part is living up to the name you get a take away of a freshly made kangan of you choice from available colours

Deplorable service. I called the restaurant for a reservation but they booked me in at another of their venues without even letting me know its a dinner place only. Worse was the gentleman who took my reservation, he found the entire episode of us driving over hilarious and laughed about it. It was pathetic. At best they offered tea and coffee?! At lunch time!!! Unfortunately I dont think I would be back for the great reviews the food here gets. Not that it would matter but am not a fan of a place that lacks empathy.

Someone recommended this place to us as one of the best Indian food in Hyderabad so we had very high expectations. The food was not that great. The appetizer we ordered dahi kabab was not at all tasty. Paneer makhani was not great either. Veggie biryani was okay too. I think the best part of the experience was the guy making Bangles. He was awesome. The live music was good but the overall experience was too noisy. The server was not very passionate about explaining different options to us. When asked for lassi he said it will take some time. Why was time any of a concern anyways. On top of all this it was very expensive for not a very best experience.

Starting with the positives. Good ambience. Dal good. We were served paneer starter, which tasted rotten so we asked to changr it. The second round was better, but still pretty bad. The lobster was uncooked, the chicken tikka masala was applied at random places and it seemed like the chef was least bothered about what was served. Luckily for them, the tourists are their main customers who have nothing to compare it to. The lamb curry was average, but the varieties of Rotis were good.To be blunt, they really need to step up their game. Every customer counts and every dish has to be just right to keep up their name.

Superb food !!! The entire experience was worth it. But the food was aaaaamaazing and the service was also super!!! I definitely recommend if you are in hyderabad this is a must go place. I know we will go again before we leave!!!

Great ambience and good food. Service was a bit messed up the waiter ended up bringing us spicy food even though we told him to recommend dishes that werent spicy. He also brought us a dish we didnt order and then put it in our bill. Also a bit on the expensive side which was expected since its inside the Westin.

Incredible food and atmosphere. The sitar player was hard to hear/enjoy over all the table conversations, but overall a pleasant experience.
