We fondly used to call as GB when I was at college and it was a common place for meeting friends almost 20 years ago. Was a nostalgic moment to visit GB today with family.Taste still felt the same, service was as always the same (reasonably fast)and price matching the present trends around.South Indian dishes - Idli, Vada, Bonda, Poori etc available during morning hours. Chats, sandwiches and juices available possibly in the evening hours. Place is right on the Hubli-Dharwad road with lot of parking space just before the hotel.Recomend this place to visit when in Hubli, Vidhya nagar. For those who studied here, I am sure there are lot many memories associated with this place :-)

Great place, great food. You can find your perfect south indian breakfast in this very old very famous hotel. Located right beside NH 67, it has ample parking space. They make perfect idlis and filter coffees. Other options are good too. Prices are not expensive. Service is quite fast. Value for money. Would surely recommend.

Iconic restaurant in Hubli that has quite an Legacy to it. Im a 4th generation customer and all through the years nothing has changed and thats a compliment. The old time charm and the Poori are doing it. Mr Shetty is a very warm host

Dishes are good but mostly sambar is on sweeter side, I am not fan of sweet sambar .

If you dont have any work for scheduled day than only you can come and wait for breakfast r lunch here, very worst quality and service, no wash rooms no social distance and higenic. Simply waste of time and loose of Passions.

I visited Hubli for the first time , got to know through Google being the best place for break place for breakfast. I had Upma, Puri kurma and Sheera. It really had a quality, but Umpa topped my list, had Upma at many places in South, but tasted very different and was delicious.

Heard it was a famous restaurant before, went there to try it out, Misal was average (3/10) Upma was freshly made (9/10) Dosa was good while eating but my parents got bad stomach the next day.The tea could have been filtered appropriately.Seating capacity is not much, and forget about covid precautions, everyone in the restaurant had the masks on their chin.

This is one of the oldest and finest restaurant in this City which is ruling since way long. The food is delicious and of same taste anytime and every time you visit this place. I have been here almost like more than 100 times and felt joyous every time. South Indian, Missal Pav, Chats, Coffee etc. Everything on Menu is at their best.

Old but still popularMy dad used to be a regular here when he used to travel through this highway during his career as a police officer.Now a days this place has become more popular for college students and travelers.Can get quite crowded and noisy.Frankly I cannot comment about the food here as I haven’t eaten here in the past 10+ years.But going by the looks of the dishes my parents ordered, it definitely was presented well and didnt look oily.
