Fantastic service with very friendly staff! The burgers were absolutely incredible, best and BIGGEST burgers weve ever had. Crumble of of day also magnificent! Will have to try the great selection of steaks next time. Definitely recommend a visit here.

After a long weekend didnt want to cook a roast so thought we would try a local pub/ steakhouse restaurant. Had no seats in th restaurant so was seated in the bar area which was fine as happy to get in. Ordered drinks and food came really quickly and was plenty of it. Separate dishes of cabbage,roasted parsnips and cheesy creamed leaks, I had the pork loin roast which came with 4 large bits of pork plus crackling,Yorkshire pudding, 4 large roast potatoes, carrot& suede mash & gravy. My husband had the mega mix roast which you could pick 3 meats he had beef, lamb and pork and again all the trimmings with that too. The food tasted good, very filling and just what we needed the staff where also very friendly and helpful.

Lovely place to eat with very friendly staff and food is really good, the Louisiana ribs just fell off the bone and were huge, will definitely be returning.

Great historical local pub! Perfect if you just want to have a drink and sit in a beer garden or have some pub food. They do a great Sunday lunch, amazing steaks and burgers. If there is a sport on then it will be playing on a decent size TVs in the main bar. The pub is dog friendly.

The SteakHouse at the Squire Inn is a local place to go to eat steak and other delicious meals. I have been there many times since it’s been the Steak House and the cuts of meat are always amazing! They can accommodate large tables if you give them enough notice and the restaurant is lovely. The restaurant is set to the side of the main pub but you don’t get too much noise from the pub which is nice! The staff are always friendly and welcoming, a couple of times I have had a few slight order mix-ups but the staff were quick to rectify them. One time I visited the Steak House and asked for a bottle of red wine which came out stone cold as it had been kept in the cellar, however the rest of the times I have been I have greatly enjoyed it. I have also had a Leg of Lamb Sunday Roast there before and the lamb was very fatty and it only took about 4 minutes from when I ordered it for our food to actually come out so I had wondered how long had it been sat around because it was warm but not hot. The Squire itself is a nice place to go for a drink and watch the football. Sometimes it can get very busy but it’s nice inside and the bar staff are friendly and quick to serve you. The outside seating area is nice in the sunny weather and there are a lot of tables out there.

Always had lovely meals. But came tonight and the chicken burger was horrid! Was slimey and was like eatting a rubber it was that tough. Bet that wasnt the issue it was the staff they were so rude! The man who was dealing with us clearly kept walking past us and even the two girls who behind the bar who could clearly see I was un happy with my food and was talking about it amongst them selfs didnt even come and see if was OK. The customers sat next to us even said how rude they was and hoped I was OK! We often come here spent are anniversary there and my mothers 40th birthday I can safely say on how was treated this evening I wont be returning!

Helpful, friendly staff. Very limited options if you are lactose intolerant although they did have a vegan dessert which I enjoyed. There was nothing I could eat on the lunchtime menu so I had the vegan burger. Burger itself was alright but came with potatoes which were neither chips, wedges or saute potatoes. Not sure what they were and some had black bits in which I didnt fancy. Also expensive for what it was. Its a shame because I have been coming here for 40+ years and always enjoyed it in the past. My friend had lunch here the previous Sunday and she said that was excellent so perhaps I was just unlucky.

Not a bad selection of GF food but very few that are DF. However what I did have was a very generous portion and tasty. They even have sorbet for pudding so we can eat with everyone else instead of watching pudding getting eaten.Would be 5 stars if had more options that were both GF and DF

Mum said her meat could of been bit better, my wife and I said we enjoyed our meal - only draw back I asked for Apple & Raspberry J2O just shame they didnt sell J2O - instead of Martin Frobishers Apple & Raspberry didnt Taste the Same otherwise it was fantastic and good customer service and made very welcome - i would certainly go back again

The staff were not professional as I hoped, girls singing quite loud and shouting across the restaurant whilst we were trying to eat. We were told that our food would be processed at 4:30 in the evening, at 5:45 when I asked after waiting patiently, the staff became defensive and said that we were mistaken.We also saw staff whispering about me and my partner in a circle, which was just appalling. Atmosphere was very dead and not as what we expected.Food was tasty! But just took a long time to arrive.Not sure if we will return again, shame really as food was very tasty.

Used the Squire pre covid and the food quality and service remains very good. Primarily a steakhouse menu but lunch options more than adequate.

We visited the pub to watch the Euros final, with prebooked seats and food. Despite repeatedly confirming that one member of our party had coeliacs disease, she was served gluten and spent several hours throwing up as a result. Initially we suspected that this was as a result of cross contamination during cooking-avoidable but relatively understandable. However, upon asking one of the waiters, the burger our friend was served was labelled just as vegan, with several forms of gluten listed in the ingredients.When a member of senior staff came to talk to us about the incident l, she urged my friend to leave the toilets, blaming her experience on drinking too much (she had only had one drink).I would definitely be wary of this establishment if you are gluten intolerant as there seemed to be a general lack of understanding about what a gluten allergy was and how it should be managed. On a more positive note, the majority of the waiting staff were friendly and accommodating.

Neat and cozy place with a nice green garden! Meals were exceptionally great. I would definitely consider visiting it again.I highly recommend the sticky toffee pudding on the pictures for the sweets fans like myself!

Mini Reunion for old friends. This is a Great Pub which ticked a lot of boxes: 1 dog friendly 2 great steaks 3 Live Football screens 4 outside Beer garden 5 friendly service. We enjoyed a great day here, so cant wait to revisit!

Just had my first visit (since easing of lockdown) to local pub with my granddaughter and her partner and was very impressed with the system in place and the service. The food was amazing and staff were very welcoming, friendly and attentive. I particularly liked the seating arrangement which was safe but not overly clinical - well done everyone and Thankyou

Really lovely delicious food at reasonable prices. Historic pub. Lovely garden to sit and eat at leisure or sit inside. You can take your dog on lead by bar or outside is fine. Get there early on Sunday as so busy.

The best Sunday roast Ive had. Very large meal, beef so tender and vegetables delicious. Would highly recommend and good value for money too. Didnt have room for a dessert but they did look good

Beautiful food in this lovely part of north Bristol. Portions are big and if youre brave enough for a starter the meat sharing option for £15 will easily satisfy 4. Some of the best steaks my family have ever enjoyed! Great service too!

Went with a group of friends as a birthday celebration. Unless youre a meat eater/lover, you will probably find the menu choice very, very limited. As a pescatarian, I had the choice of either fish & chips or mushroom risotto. The server said they would try to accommodate me as best they could but being surrounded by the smell of sizzling steaks didnt make for a very comfortable evening for me at all.I chose the fish & chips, the portion size of which was ample, it was hot, and served promptly.The surroundings were pleasant, restaurant was busy so is clearly popular, but not so many tables you feel squashed which is sometimes an issue in favoured establishments. It was, however, really quite noisy and our table had trouble holding conversation. Toilet facilities were clean.I do not enjoy writing bad reviews but have done my best to point out both bad and good points of my visit. Im sure a meat-eater would enjoy the experience a lot more than I did (hence the 3 star rating and not lower) but I will not be visiting again by choice.

Very friendly bar lady, food took almost an hour to arrive, and it was not worth the wait, dry crusty old bun which disintegrated , over cooked dry patty and cold soggy chips, for the money it was an absolute disgrace.. best burger in Bristol I think not. So disappointed.

Very popular pub/eatery in Chipping Sodbury. The pub itself is fine, but its the quality of the food that makes it a cut above the competition. Plenty of helpful, friendly waiting staff too.

Not sure they cleaned the toilets since lockdown its like a public toilet. Horrible.

Had a quick snack of steak & onion ciabatta & it was fresh, filling & tasty. Chips and salad on the side. Absolutely fabulous. Staff very friendly. Lovely surroundings.

This is the place to eat if you want a properly cooked quality steak.My lunch guest had the cod and chips, and remarked that it was fried better than his, up to now, favourite fish and chips in Brixham.

Best fried chicken burger ever!

Lovely food, large portions and really well priced. Only down fall was having to wait 50 minutes for our starter and then another 50 minutes for our main once our plates had been cleared.

Very nice pub, food was really good and arrived very quickly considering we went for Sunday lunch. Nice atmosphere, good layout, the pub side separate from the dining. Highly recommend
