This is the next station just after the howrah junction (towards Chennai) which is located in West Bengal. All the train which departs from Howrah toward the Southern Part of India๐ฎ๐ณ (Mail/Express), they have to skip this station, only the suburban trains (EMU/Local train) have stoppage here, even here we are able to see the EMU carshed, where all the suburban trains are kept for Maintainence.
I donโt know why taking building picture is prohibited here. If they catch you taking picture inside or outside the station you will get fine. Waiting rooms for foreigners are well maintained then other rooms. The toilets and the floor is too much dirty. Keep your goods nearby you or it could be stolen. The architecture of the building is one of a kind.... You will always find this station lively.
It is the second last station in South Eastern railway down site railway road. It is the mean gateway to enter the proper Howrah city. Most of the trains are stopped in this station for 25 to 30 min. To enter the last station Howrah. This station is placed beside the rail car shed.
Tikiapara Railway station is last station before Howrah station. This is very important station as most of the offices, market place of Howrah are situated surroundings this Tikiapara Railway station. Now with the new renovation many a facilities are available here. You can drive your car to this station. Theres a car shed of the trains are situated near the Tikiapara Railway station. You may visit the station and go for marketing.
Fairly clean. Drinking water available, although, level of purity is not clear. The enclosure holding the water keeps overflowing. Ample no. of sitting arrangements. Platform covered under shade to protect passengers from rain and storm. Punctual announcement for arrival of oncoming trains. Foot overbridge and under the line subway for safety smooth running of people and traffic.
Good and commonly know as the graveyard of most of the local trains because almost every local train take time worth of 1 to 2 hour to enter next station(Howrah station).
Good Station. Peoples are Dont wary it is signal platform in there.
Tikiapara railway station is a small station but very important station which located next to Howrah station. It is a industrial place.I love this station.
Tikiapara is the first railway station on the Howrah - Kharagpur route. It is a small railway station with 4 railway lines for the Up and Down trains. The station is meant for access to Tikiapara and the surrounding areas of Howrah. Though the express trains do not halt at this station, it can be reached through the local trains.
Its just a station. What you are looking for in this section. Buy ticket and travel. Wish you a Happy and Safe journey.
This is the station where all the trains towards HWH get stucked is signal. Keep patience and wait for the signal. THANK YOU ๐
Good place to hang out with friends but its a crowdy place sometimes.
Good Station But There are no flyover bridgeWe cannot go to next platform through flyoverAnd distance is too between platform no1 to platform no2But this is very nice place
One of the busiest station of south eastern railway.... But there is no overbridge in this station...
It is the next station after the Howrah Station. The station is controlled by South Eastern Railway. A carshed is situated here. Except some galloping trains, all local trains give stoppage here. It has 3 platforms. The distance of Howrah junction from Tikiapara railway station is 2 km.
1. There are 2 departure board on each platform.2. They places are usually clean.3. It offers few stall for food and snacks, books and magazines.4. Sometimes TT are available for checking the passenger in the station. But in morning they are mostly available.Tips:-1. Always carry tickets in the station (even Howrah Railway station platform tickets โน10/per person)2. Always ask the local passenger on train whether it will stop in desired station.3. Take care of your laguage and items
Never board on train from here either up or down so much congestion specially on morning and evening time.Best way go to howrah then take any train honestly so crowded station. Also be aware if you visiting without ticket this station is full of Tickets Checker!!
Penultimate station of Howrah Railway Station. Drinking water is available, toilet is not available on the platform. Not so much clean. One of the busiest station during office time.
No washroom no cleanness is there anyway to give minus five star?
One station ahead towards Howrah it is very important station to go to the industrial area of Howrah.
Tikiapara Railway Station is a railway station of South Eastern Railway, is about 2 k.m. away from Howrah Railway Junction. This is the first station from Howrah End towards Kharagpur End.Previous name was Bengal Nagpur Railway, this staion was opend in 1900 A.D and the railway line was electrified in 1966-67.There are three Platform and Four Railway Tracks. This staion is elevated at 9 metres hight. The station is almost clean.
Its a small station just before 3km from howrah station. Local trains stops here from howrah to kgp viceversa and may b some of Express .
Just before Howrah Railway Station, this is where your train would stop for eternity. Dont get off the train. Youll reach Howrah eventually.
First and most wired reason of two star is that it doesnt have any over bridge to change the platforms. There are several lines mixing together. So it is very risky to move.
It is so good railway station. Hear each part of the station are so far each other. Most of gallopin train are not stop. Not fully crowd station. Platform are narrow. From this station all train delay to reach howrah station.

A rail station without any footbridge which causes lot of inconvenience to local passengers....... long distance between platform 1 & 2....... Most of the long distance covered Express train has to wait here and in between, before getting a platform to reach Howrah junction railway station, causing a lot of inconvenience and harrassment of passengers.......
Nice railway station but not that big station.
The tikiapara old station has been building both means sides means up down a large and new form that is very and only useful for local people or urban.
This is the most memorable railway station for daily passengers life between howrah and kharagpur section of south eastern railway of India. They have spent maximum time here during the journey towards howrah stn. To enjoy the time you can go for shopping ๐.Railway authorities are too cool about their services specifically between tikiapara and howrah stn.

Tikiapara is a famous because of railway workshop. Many people works there.
I missed train from Howrah to Bangalore once, again missed train from Sealdah to Darjeeling due to failing signal system and tremendous late for receiving train at certain platform of Howrah station.Cause tikiapara station is just before Howrah. So when there is emergency piece of work or, taking link train from Howrah or Sealdah,Tikiapara often deprive others and me also.
One of the big local railway stations. Crowded. And u need to b attentive with the train announcements.
The station should require more stalls under railway supervision so that passengers gets proper packed foods and water . This is one of the important station in South section .

Station is good but surrounding is very dirty.
Even though its an important intersection or link just before the Eastern Railways most important juncture point, namely, HWH JN, it has now become a headache or a nuisance for almost all the passengers who usually try to manage their time-schedule by boarding in local trains i.e. EMUs after getting down from Express/Super fast ones that usually get stuck at Tikiapara just before entering the platform...
The station is narrow.Thereโs no foot over-bridge.The toilets are dirty.

Average local station before you reach Howrah Railway Station. Almost all the express train stops here before they can reach Howrah although you may not find it as a regular stopping station in the train schedule you a traveling in. Till the trains get a clearance that which they will park at in Howrah, they wait here.

A busy railway station, but all trains are taking time to reach Howrah from this station. In rainy season it is usually flooded by two foot of water. It is the closest station from howrah . But there is no toilet facility in this area.
No foot over bridge risky crossing
Next to howrah junction the 1st station of South Eastern Railway is Tikiapara. Clean and well maintained station .
