Its been a while since weve been to Antica, but the service and food are still wonderfully the same. It makes me wonder why we stopped going. Its such an enjoyable old school dining experience, where dining wasnt all about the glitz and glam, but about great food and exceptional service. You cant go wrong with the lamb chops here.

Came for HRW and as a table ordered the scallops, lobster ravioli, lamb shank, tiramisu and Italian cream cake. We also ordered the burrata to begin with.The burrata was good but definitely needed the arugula to help give it more flavor and spice. Our scallops were delicious but something about the sauce didnt sit that well on my stomach personally. The lamb shank was awesome! Super tender and the tomato sauce wasnt too acidic per my friends. My lobster ravioli was great but felt like it lacked a little lobster and I actually ended up getting some shell in my pieces. The tiramisu and Italian cream cake were both delicious without being overly sweet.

Fantastic food, service and ambiance!

We went for HRW on a weeknight. The food was just ok. The sauce was layered on pretty heavily. Compared to other restaurants with $45 restaurant week deals, this one didnt live up to the hype.

Let me start with how intimate, sexy, steamy this restaurant is! If you want to set the mood for the entire night...start here and you will go straight to a room...lol. The food? Well balanced, light flavors keep you pleased. Save room for dessert...delicious and delicious. Have a little coffee... Entrees will set you back about $30-36, so be aware.

Had my birthday dinner here. Food was good but the drinks were priced kind of high. Overall experience was great!

Cosy atmosphere in old house. Parking is nearly impossible so the free valet parking is greatly appreciated. Food was good and well presented, though a bit pricy. The mango sorbet was more ice than fruit. The tiramisu was a little weak on the coffee flavor but the texture was light and creamy.We had fun deciding whether our bread slices were bunny rabbits or whales! Definitely a special occasion restaurant.

Antica is a neighborhood place where the staff will remember you. Its good for casual dinner with friends, romantic dinner with someone special, or just a comfortable meal. The food is amazing and the prices should be higher.

The food wasnt bad, just not what I expected, certainly not for the price. I wouldnt call it authentic italian food. The service was courteous and prompt.the parking was sort of confusing for an out of towner like me.

Terrible Valentine’s Day experience. My wife and I made our 8:00 PM reservation two weeks ahead of time, and we weren’t seated until around 9:00 PM. Once we were getting seated, they told us we had to share a table with another couple (whose reservation was at 8:30). Normally, this would be fine, but it’s Valentine’s Day. Come on. The service was fine after that, and the food was good.

Such a beautiful place for dates and get togethers. The food, drinks and vibes are amazing. Couldn’t recommend more. It is a bit pricey, so keep that in mind but you’ll leave with no regrets and a memorable meal! Great wine list as well.

If you are ever hosting a large party and are looking for a place that will accommodate a pre-selected menu with no minimum in a private setting, then consider the Wine Room at Antica Osteria. Fabulous room and food. Up to you to bring the fabulous guests.

This is a wonderful and quaint place to eat. Every time we go, the food, service and atmosphere is 5 star. Highly recommend.

Lovely dining room, friendly wait staff, nice presentation of our meals and wine. The shrimp were incredibly tasty. I want to return to check out the patio/terrace and the other part of the restuarant. Apparently 2 or 3 old homes were merged to form this South Hampton institution. A must try!

One of the best Italian restaurants in the Greater Houston Area! Everything was fantastic. The food was excellent... lamb chops, spaghetti marinara...but what stands out was the fantastic family atmosphere. The friendly staff and excellent service were an excellent throwback to family restaurants.Definitely recommend a visit. But call and reserve..its super busy!

The waiter was great. Very personable and all the staff made us feel very welcomed. The food tasted and looked amazing. The vibe was an vintage feel which made it feel like a classic upscale feel. Loved the place.

An excellent dining experience, with authentic Italian food. The restaurant on the outside looks like a cozy home but inside is very large. Their menu is varied in traditional Italian fare, and so far Ive tried 4 of their dishes and have been satisfied with every one. The food comes out relatively quick and service is excellent. Highly recommended.

This place is lovely! Great menu with classic Italian dishes as well as more elegant options. Many wonderful salads and desserts. The service was professional, elegant and warmhearted.

I went here for dinner for a first date and it was fabulous! I absolutely loved the atmosphere. Admittedly I was a bit underdressed but I never felt judged by the staff or other customers. Our waiter was super fun and helpful but didnt hover and our food was absolutely delicious!I personally didnt appreciate the almost forced valet but for a nice place, sure, what the heck, why not?

My preferred place for delicious Italian food. Nice place to meet and catch up with family. Looking forward to a return visit. The bill was average for the menu.

We had a great business meal. 5 different dishes and every one of them was amazing. Service was very good. Appetizers and desserts were also enjoyed.

Good food but a small crowded interior. We were against the wall with tables on both sides less than a foot away. Remove one table and spread the others out a little to eliminate the claustrophobic environment.

Been here three times, seems its slowly getting worse. Used to be GREAT. Online menu is not current, had heart set on lasagna and they dont sell that anymore despite having it available in the online menu. What I did get was meh, at best. The worst part was the server, she clearly didnt want to be at work. Made no suggestions, and just wanted our orders, despite us asking...basically implying just look at the menu. We asked about a dessert menu, there was none. There was no tray to show us what dessert might be. She rattled off a list of desserts so fast we didnt know where one ended and the next begins. We wanted to linger over dessert and coffee because we were entertaining an out of town guest, but we ended up sitting there with nothing and leaving early. I was really disappointed. We really should have gone elsewhere.

I was pleasantly surprised by a date night here and was amazed by the food and atmosphere. The staff was so friendly and the Gnocchi was to die for!. I cant wait to be surprised here again :)

My friend took me for my birthday on a Saturday night. The server was attentive but not hovering, which is a plus for me. They were gracious enough to let us stay and finish our drinks even though theyve been closed for 15 minutes. The bone-in ribeye was well seasoned and well marbled and the octopus salad although refreshing was a slight fishy for my taste. Definitely a neighborhood gem.

We held our rehearsal dinner at Antica Osteria in September 2013, and we are so thankful we did. From the perfectly prepared meals, to the outstanding customer service we received, this restaurant and all its staff completely surpassed my expectations. Ray, the owner, was so accommodating to me, my family, and my fiancé’s family. He customized a menu for 25 guests suited to our personal taste (some even vegetarian and gluten-free among those). And, when asked at the last minute to add an additional meal option, did so happily and without question. Even the servers were hospitable. Not once did I see someone standing around idly or tending to personal matters. They were all attentive, reliable, diligent, amicable and poised. Without a doubt, the staff at Antica is the best in Houston. In terms of the food itself, I am still hearing remarks from friends and family about how tender the steak was, how moist the chicken was, and how fresh the vegetables tasted. They loved the food at the rehearsal dinner more than at the actual wedding, in fact! Should anyone be looking for an elegant, romantic, intimate space to host a function, or to celebrate a special occasion, please do not hesitate to book a reservation at this restaurant!

Fantastic find hidden in the village! Service was fantastic; staff made sure glasses were full and everything was delicious without bugging too often. And the food! Steamed mussels, lamb and filet were all incredible! Prices are beyond reasonable for the quality and experience. Will be back!!

Fantastic service - we had three people visit our table with menus, water, and delicious bread within 60 seconds of being seated. Food was prepared quickly and was delicious. Our waiter went through the specials board with us explaining all of the picks for that night, we felt very welcomed and his accent made everything sound even better!Great date spot for a night out

Omg, this is a very cozy and dare I say, romantic place. Service is top notch and the food is amazing. Had the best fillet mignon Ive ever had. The Italian cream cake was very good, as well.

I cant say enough good things about Antica Osteria! We celebrated my sisters 50th birthday with 25 quests this past Saturday in one of the private rooms and it was perfection! From the beginning planning stages with the owner, Ray to our waiter, Eric we were treated to a wonderful, old world Italian experience! I recommend this restaurant 100%!

Great cozy place, with a small but nice patio. Food is quite good. Can get very busy on Fridays. Parking is pretty much valet only, complimentary.

Wow! Had dinner here last night with wife and old friends and Goddaughter. As a native Houstonian this is just the type of place I adore. Atmosphere, service and food were above excellence without being pretentious. Down to earth and delightful. My taste buds and stomach are still celebrating 14 hours later.

Kamil, our waiter, was the best, made you feel at home. The lamb chops were the best. Highly recommend this romantic restaurant. The Octopus salad was very refreshing.

Incredible experience. The venue was lovely, the food delicious...more than sublime and the service was friendly and timely. Having recently visited Italy this past February, Antica Osteria is the closest experience to the dining over seas. We had great service and food. Id take the beef filet here over the Taste of Texas. Delicious!

My favorite Italian restaurant in Houston by far. The food is great and reasonably priced - the chef is from Sardinia so I usually opt for the daily fresh fish specials. The staff have been nearly unchanged for years, which means they recognize you and provide excellent service. All this at a convenient location and very reasonable prices.

Inattentive Service - waiter did not introduce himself or explain the menu, was not given any dessert options. I assume effort was not considered as we were not running up our dinner ticket with alcoholic beverages like the tables around us. Food was OK - I expected something better. The valet parking was the highlight of the evening.

Got our order wrong and also gave us the check belonging to the table next to ours.Our table was in a bad spot where it got bumped by every server as they walked by.But the food was very good!

We dined at Antica Osteria Saturday evening. Everything from the valet service, our greeting upon entering the restaurant, the bartender and her deft ability at making Bombay Sapphire martinis, to being seated at our table was wonderful. I love the charming atmosphere.My husband chose the whole flounder, which he seemed to thoroughly enjoy. I prefer to have headless fish, so I chose the, I filet mignon, medium rare topped with a decadent mushroom sauce.A must go place.
