All you can eat Indian food? Yes please! The staff are friendly and hospitable. The atmosphere was clean and relaxing. The food is the main highlight here. Every dish was fresh, delicious, and tasty. If you haven’t tried Nirvana before do yourself a favor and go try it. Your tastebuds will thank me later.
First time here for their lunch buffet and the food was amazing. Loved everything that I tried but my most favorite dish was the fish in dill sauce could not get enough of it. I greatly recommended to come try them out. Place was clean and the staff was very friendly and attentive.
Very clean, great food. Finally one that is not manu style.
I met some friends for a lunch buffet the other day. It was really good. They were quite busy as well. I appreciate the extra steps they took for Covid. Would definitely recommend them for a good lunch.
I attended a party given there. The deco was very nice. The staff was very attentive and helpful. The food was delicious. Enjoyed the evening. I would recommend this restaurant.
Best Indian food in town. Exceptional food abs service!
Loved it, had our Rotary after dark here. Amazing food
Food was good!! Not the service. All the chicken dishes were little bit dry. But not too bad.Staffs constantly talking in front of food serving area. No greeting for arrival/leaving.There’ were 2-3 staff in the reception area busy chatting.Entry area was slippery due to weather- no action took. Not sure I want to deal with this rude service again. Owner needs to tranin the staff better.
This place was not bad at all. Just that when we walked, we were not directed to any table. The food was good and once we were seated, we were taken care of very well. The ambiance was awesome. It was just such a relaxed place.I would definitely recommend this place.
Probably one of the best places on this side of town for Pakistani food. Price is high though. They have homeless people sleeping next door in the vacant business.
Totally Depends on what you are looking for, food isn’t gonna be spicy, don’t expect dozens of buffet entries. Ideal place for team lunches, tad bit pricey than competitors but is balanced with its cool decor, ambiance and quality. Great service, they do have BYOB with no corkage fee, patio is really cool for dinner with lights. Deserts are way too sweet.
Raj was incredible!! He gave us great drink and appetizer suggestions, making this an awesome experience. We will be back!!
We were stuck for a place to have our wedding reception for 80 guests. There were plenty of available options in Houston but some wouldn’t allow us to provide our own alcohol or to choose the company for our cake, it just got ridiculous the amount of hoops to jump through, so one time we were having a meal at Nirvana and I just happened to ask the boss, Monsur, if it was possible to have our wedding reception there. He agreed. It was by far the best decision we made. It was easy, accommodating, the food was incredible, they even cooked up some Mexican dishes for guests who were not used to Indian food. They waited the tables, stored and corked the bottles when needed, every single member of staff reflected the happy occasion in the way they carried themselves. I was very impressed! Our wedding was 5 years ago!! The reason I’m writing this now is because 1. I forgot at the time 2. Because whenever we drink the same wine or champagne at home it takes us straight back to the memories of our wedding reception and just how great it was. That certainly says a lot when you have is great memories of a restaurant 5 years later! If you or you know of someone getting married or for any other event and they just want no headaches and simple, tell them about Nirvana on Memorial. You will not be disappointed.
Food and service are consistently good. A bit on the pricey end for the type of food offering.
Great Indian food. The night I visited it was a little slow but I did see there lunch buffet was a great option and seems worth checking out. The service was good. The food came out hot and fresh. I enjoyed both my appetizer and the mushroom vindaloo for my entree. Would come back again but during a busier time as lacked atmosphere
We ordered take-out from Nirvana. The online ordering was very smooth and easy to fill out. Would have liked to have known about how much rice was included with the dish. The food was warm and ready when promised. Excellent lamb korma.
Always awesome!! Great buffet. Great people!
I visited Nirvana looking at the reviews it had..So I would say its an overall good ambience and average food. The non-veg starters Chicken Tandoori was well done. The marination was deeply infused in the chicken and was spicy enoughThe chicken and fish curries were not upto the mark at all. I didn’t like them at all.I would give like 1/5 for it.The veg curries were average enough. The chickpeas curry was okayish. So the ambience is good food okayish. On the desert side, the rice pudding was awesome!
Food was good but the service was horrible. The staff had to be reminded again and again to refill the dishes. I mean shouldnt they be on top of it by themselves? Palak had no paneer and kadi had no pakora and it was only after pointing out that they refilled. Seemed like the staff was sleeping while the chefs were working behind the kitchen to make some good food. Desserts were good.
We loved coming here! The food is always hot and fresh. The service was phenomenal and our glasses were never empty. The staff was friendly and made sure my son had some fresh fruit and recommended non spicy dishes he could eat. They had great precautions in place for Covid-19, and we felt safely distanced from other tables. Definitely going to return soon.
Really good food. Whole place was extremely clean, and the had a ton of different items. Plenty of vegetarian stuff, and the provide gloves if you do the buffet. Goat was amazing.
Awesome freshly made foodEnjoyed with family
This dining was a pleasant surprise experience for my family, food was good. Only sound system needs improvement.
The food is excellent. They have the best palek paneer Ive ever had. The tandoori style chicken is also delicious. By far the best Indian restaurant in Houston!
Wonderful experience!!! I came here between lunch and dinner because they had outdoor seating options during the pandemic. I went inside and asked to be seated outside, and they explained to me that they didnt have the patio area ready, but if I would wait 10min they could get it ready for me. Even though the area was not open, the staff personally cleaned off a table, set up an outdoor table with the *full* tablesetting, including a cloth tablecloth, the cloth napkins, and full diningware, and even sweeped the deck, just so my party of 3 could eat outside. Saying the staff here is excellent would be an understatement: they go above and beyond for great service to their customers. The food we ate was delicious as well. We had a few appetizers (pictured) and main course dishes that were large enough to take leftovers home to eat later. Our glasses were always promptly refilled, and our waiter was extremely friendly and kind. I wish I lived closer by so I could come back more often, because I truly enjoyed my experience at Nirvana. [Regarding safety, all staff members wore a mask at all times, even when serving us outside]
The best Indain restaurant with a great food, service and ambiance.
It was delicious and the food looked very well made and if you are looking for a good restaurant to go to i would recommend going here
Ive only eaten at the lunch buffet, which is about $5-6.00 more than most similar buffets in Little India. However, the food is a whole lot better, and the variety much larger. My only quibble is that the kheer was a bit too sweet for my taste, but, on the whole, I wish they would move to my neighborhood, so I wouldnt have to drive so far.
Covid update- the buffet food is still good but the price have jumped to 20 per person.
Food was actually very good and very fresh. The only reason I cannot give it 5 star because we were invited there for large party where whole restaurant was booked
We had a lunch meeting for 22 people and wanted a particular setup. They did everything perfectly. Service and food was awesome.
Their Monday and Tuesday special is really good! Excellent service, food was great and very friendly environment! It was very clean and up to date, especially with COVID regulations. I liked that the owner was present and enthusiastic while socializing with customers.
So disappointed. 5 hours drive to order my favorite plate & get something else. 50$ down the drain. So mad. Never again.
Best Indian food around, trust me we have tried alot of restaurants. We love that they even offer dinner buffets on select nights
It was a $16 buffet, and the owner didn’t wear a mask even after we told him directly to his face to. The food was good, but it was expensive for what it was. Two stands of hairs came out of two different dishes from my sister’s food. I wouldn’t come back here.
Great food, nice facility. Little pricey, but worth it.
Excellent food and service, one of the best Indian restaurant in Houston.
Went for lunch buffet, it was 15+ dollar plus tax. They have more items in veg and non beg compare to what other restaurant I have visited till now. The lamb curry, and Lady Finger AamChurn was very tasty. They can have few more items in sweet section. The dining area was very cleaned and staffs are very quick. The another good point you can get naan of your own choice.
This is the best Indian restaurant In Houston . I have been coming here for a while now and I have never been disappointed. my kids and wife always ask if Im stopping by Nirvana because they love the food . there is so much to choose from when it comes to the buffet. they always treat you like family and make sure that we leave happy.
Food was good but they did not refill the selections in the buffet. No one came to ask what we wanted to drink.
Ill be honest, I had a little sticker shock when I looked at the menu but that was before I tasted the food. The food we had (Tandoori Platter) was amazing and worth every penny. We will definitely eat here again and its probably a good thing that its on the expensive side for us to stop us from eating here too often and getting fat! It was the perfect combination of spice and flavor!
Nice food. Love the buffet 👍
Glad to see them up and running. Awesome quality Indian food buffet. Friendly staff!
Great buffet. Seems like theres something new to try every time I go there. I havent been disappointed.
Great local Indian food. Extensive menu, priced in range of normal. Chai tea was spicy, tiki masala was spicy but I could have taken more heat. Features outside patio with nice lighting, inside is formal with Buffet set up. Parking is the only draw back, it’s a hurdle to get in the lot and wedged in a spot.
The food looked better than it tasted
Amazing food and service. Food taste so good and awesome quality.
Great food and excellent wait staff. Clean establishment, would recommend to everyone!!
We have been going here since it opened. We havent eaten here recently because moved out of area. Today we came in for the buffet and really looking forward to it. Boy we were really disappointed. No even close to original quality. The lamb chops were dried out and tough. The cauliflower, Shrimp had the same tasteless sauce. Both used to be delicious not using the tomato based sauce. In general pretty boring
The worst indian food. Please dont even attempt to eat. As an Indian, i would suggest dont waste your $$ here.
Discovered via friends our new favorite Indian place. BYOB which is nice, but best reason for a visit is the food. Nice outside dining area.
Really good Indian food. We brought some bananas and had special preparation requests, and these folks took excellent care of us. Well be back for certain!
I know India has many region!! Your food is no good for any region. Close your shop if you cant get a proper Chef.
Always good. Been doing take out for last 6 months but food is as good as ever. Long time customer and always pleased with my selections. I believe Nirvana serves the best Indian (Northern India) food in Houston.
Nice food I have enjoyed
Cant say enough good things about this place. Food=awesome, ambiance=awesome, service=awesome, catering= awesome, location=awesome.
Love this place, Raj was so attentive and accommodating !
Wow wow wow! Great food! And they like veterans!
Excellent food, excellent service.
Came here right at 6pm for their dinner buffet! The food was fresh. Quickly was seated and got drink orders.Pro tip: its BYOB and on Monday and Tuesday lamb chops are part of the buffet !The decor was very nice compared to other buffets. The atmosphere was very soothing and the buffet line was clean, easy to maneuver, and labeled.Service was fast and friendly ! My water was never empty , plates taken immediately, and check came promptly. The food bottom line was delicious ! I had a little of everything and loved it !!!! My husband also enjoyed his food.We came all the way from north Katy in traffic just to try this place and it did not disappoint this will be our new spot! And I love that they are open on Tuesday when most Indian restaurants are closed!
Great curry lunch, will be back soon
Super appetizing. Certainly worth a return visit. Prices are decent. Atmosphere is similar to a cafe in San Jose I loved.
Worth trying out once for a change
Like home away from home. Mansoor his usual hospitable self, food was great and a huge effort in keeping sanitation and sterilization in check.
Covid friendly, delicious and truly Indian food!! Wishing them prosperity and good customers.
We had a horrible experience in this restaurant. Every food item it has over sweetness. Tastes like the food is already expired...!
With buffet being closed they offer a menu and a lunch special. I ordered the special. So much food and it was all really good. I wish I could tell you what I had but Im not very knowledgeable on Indian food. I just know it tasted great. And the garlic nom was outstanding. The only thing I didnt care for was the crunchy tortilla type thing. It wasnt great. The 2 sauces with it helped.Besides the first thing, I can not wait to go back here.
Nirvana is my favorite restaurant in Houston, Tx. area. Nice environment, very attentive staff, great presentation, elegant buffet and delicious authentic food.Thank you Nirvana 🌹
Excellent buffet and green ambience. A bit pricy. I will be a regular here soon
Has a good ambience. They have buffet on weekdays. I liked chicken tikka masala. Good for friends and family.
Best Indian food in TownMake sure you come on empty stomach to try all you can eat buffet.
We visited Nirvana yesterday May 24, 2020 and dined inside. The restaurant was very clean and the staff was careful to take good care of us and make us feel comfortable. We were not worried about Covid at all.The food was amazing and all cooked to order. We ordered 4 different meals and they were all very good. The owner spoke to us several times and it was obvious that they take pride in their food and their restaurant. This was our first time there. We dont know them or anyone connected to the restaurant (actually, I chose it because the location was convenient and, after looking at many on Google, I thought the building was cool from the pictures and like that it is a stand alone building.I cant imaging going anywhere else for Indian food again!
Always consistent and quality food ❤️❤️
Excellent buffet w fast and friendly servers who bring fresh naan to your table. Two thumbs up
Great atmosphere very clean. Ordered food to go. The best Indian food that have tasted by far.
I just bought biryani its too expensive 17$ and taste was so so its just overrated
This place is fantastic! Great food and service. The rice is fluffy and everything we ordered came out flavorful and perfectly seasoned.Highly recommend. 🙌🏽
The food was great. Patio was perfect. Service even better. Garlic Naan to kill for
I’m so happy to have my lunch with my son, food are so good and it taste like our real Indian food should be and price so perfect more the young lady who served us she is an amazing and awesome lady, BIANCAVery soft spoken and helpfulI’m happy and enjoy my time after this bad weather
Love the buffet at this restaurant! The food is always fresh, the new buffet has 22 items! Endless options. The lamb chops are delicious. The atmosphere is very quite and clean.
The lunch buffet is good 🙂
But pricy but tasty!
Fresh, clean, courteous customer service.
Pathetic food. Won’t call this place a restaurant. The waiter was rude and arrogant called it a ‘premium’ place and said food portions will be smaller. The reshmi paneer appetizer was served in a small side plate along with a spoon. Both the appetizers we ordered were horrible. Main course was unappetizing and uneatable. Won’t call this Indian food. Both the entrees we ordered were too bad. Attached pic for reference. Avoid this place at all costs. Go visit other Indian restaurants in Sugarland for a good experience.
We love Indian Food and had tried other places in Houston. We really needed an amazing Indian Restaurant. I am so happy we found it!!! The food was delicious. Naan was soft and dreamy. The owner was super nice and helpful. Thank you Nirvana for a great dinner. I can’t wait to be back for the buffet.
I ordered their Turkey last year for thanksgiving and it was amazing! will definitely order it again!
An excellent buffet. Best Indian food in the Memorial area
Best Indian food in the area! I haven’t dined in since covid but I’ve been supporting this neighborhood gem via door dash when the craving strikes! (Their buffet is amazing by the way) but don’t hesitate to take this food to-go if you’re not comfortable dining in. The to-go food is packaged very carefully and is always delivered super fresh. They plastic wrap all the containers so it is super hot and not a single spill! I’m not a vegetarian but I am obsessed with their vegetable kofta, which is a vegetarian meatball in a sweet curry sauce. I always order the saffron rice pulao in addition to the rice served with my meal. It has such an amazing flavor that can be enjoyed on its own. Make sure to get two orders or garlic naan! One is never enough!
The gold standard. Each and every time I, along with family and friends have frequented this establishment, ALL have come away with the greatest appreciation of fantastic food and service. They never miss so I never tire of raving about Nirvana. Customers for at least 10 years......we’ll be back again and again and again.
Food quality went way down. Food isnt tasty like before.
