Only one church. Quiet monastery, very few other tourists present. Some beautiful khachkars on site. Special location on the coast of the lake.
Hayravank is a 9th to 12th century Armenian monastery located just northeast of the village of Hayravank along the southwest shores of Lake Sevan in the Gegharkunik Province of Armenia. The monastic complex consists of a church, chapel, and gavit.
Nice monastery. After viewing so many today, it still gives me something!
After have seen lots of churches on top of mountains, this one is on the lake and this is its best feature, since it has nothing spectacular as other can have. But its a good pit stop if coming after some hours of driving.
Old monastery with an interesting lagend.
Very nice church ⛪ near to Sevan Lake
Ancient and beautiful. Great views and nature.
This is an hidden jem. Its not marked on the guides (like lonely planet) but it deserves a visit. Its better than Sevan monastery.
Peace and quiet, at last
It is so pleasant to sit near the church and admire the beauty of Lake Sevan. The church is situated right on a cliff. It is very old and you can feel it looking at its walls...

Epic
The temple of the 5th century, beautiful, small. There are not very many tourists (unlike Sevanavank). We were struck by the deacon Vahe who serves here. I think he is shrewd. Be sure to stop by this beautiful place and speak with the deacon. Our meeting was the main miracle in traveling in Armenia.
A view of magnificent Lake Sevan and a most poetic church, especially if we add to it the legend of 1000 dove-men (1000 prisoners from a nearby castle transformed into doves by the local priest to regain their freedom, or more surely who would have used an underground connecting the castle to the church ... did you find it?). Very beautiful khachkar and beautiful engravings.
Exceptional in search of my roots in these places so peaceful and deep
This monastery is lucky, stands in a wonderful place, on the high cliff of the Armenian sea or the beautiful lake of Sevan. This already makes it unique, although it deserves attention due to its age (over 1000 years with the wrap). It is modest, and therefore wonderful, simple but rich in architectural details, which are worth looking at. All of us are soulful with this place, leaving extraordinary feelings for the newcomer. Its worth to survive.
If you pass by, stop. It is a nicely situated monastery on the lake. Nice view. Not very touristy. We have the impression of being alone.
Its not a big monastery ... Its a quiet place to see the old Cezanne Lake.
A unique place! Please note!
Beautiful location with stunning views and mystical atmosphere
Very beautiful place!
Ayrivank.
The monastery is small and quiet, but it looks very colorful on the rocky shore of Sevan and few tourists come to it. Not at all like the Sevanovank bazaar.
A beautiful view, there is a sense of the presence of the Holy Spirit
Very picturesque! A must visit in the Sevan area.
The contrast of red moss on the church and the blue water in the lake is unforgettable! Be sure to plan a late afternoon at these places.
Very beautiful place .. And a stunning view of Sevan)
I am neither a researcher nor an archaeologist. I am an ordinary pensioner. But I saw: next to the monastery there is a lot of work for historians and, especially, for archaeologists.
Beautiful monastery on Lake Sevan.
Quiet, very beautiful place. Great view of the lake.
