Indian trained chef’s creating mouth watering traditional Italian dishes? We just had to check this place out!Upon being seated at the table I noticed a very large variety for vegetarians and non-vegetarians which is unusual, so my family were all thoroughly pleased. We had started with a rosemary garlic bread that was just wondrous. Crisp and fragrant, somehow made better by the toasty bubbles. The 4 season margarita pizza was on the cards for mains and my gosh was this scrumptious! The base literally just melts on your tongue along with all the magnificent flavours! They have a great selection of gelatos and taste absolutely fabulous, the cheesecake was lovely too but a bit of a petite slice.Their decor is contemporary. Staff are highly knowledgeable. Friendly, expert and rapid. Parking is no issue also, around 120 spaces directly outside.Reasonable prices and good service. Very friendly owners, good atmosphere for couples or families, as they were great with the kids. Thanks for a wonderful evening!
Had lunch here with my son after we finished playing at Putt crazy. We shared a veg pizza and some chips and had couple of drinks which were reasonably priced. Food was good and we especially enjoyed the artichoke on the pizza. Everything was clean and they were following good covid safety. The service was good and they found me some chillies so I could enjoy the food more. Will definitely be back again
Nice place for a group dinner. The time slots are quite short but the place is busy so its understandable. The starters and drinks were nice however, the main course was a big disappointment with the food being very bland and basic. I ordered the veggie pasta which wasnt great but nobody on else enjoyed their main meals either.
Indo Italian food.Tried the zenzero hot pizza and the fettuccine zenzero pasta.Pizza was thin and full of flavour, Id recommend if you want something light. If youre use to spice its not that spicy.Pasta was very creamy and more filling. Would definitely recommend.4 stars not 5 as the decor is abit dated, needs a refurb.
Blue Zenzer never fails to impress. The food as always is wonderful. The chilli garlic bread is an all time favourite. The pizzas and pastas are just wonderful. I think its one of the very places that does pasta in pink sauce (reminds you of pasta places in India). The location for Blue Zenzer is another positive, as its next to a driving range. Overall, its a place I go often and would continue to do that.
Ok nice place, but very busy. Hsve visited in the past on several occasions, so it was nice to dine here, since yhe lifting of lockdown.Food very nice, and very large portions. So yes, there was wastage. Which is a shame. Some of the sides are large enough to eat as a main meal.No drinking alcohol today, so opted for a mocktail called Passion Love. Very sweet, so added some water. However, it was nice.
Today I visited this restaurant and bar for lunch after a chucker of golf, which is available within the same establishment. The restaurant was air conditioned, just right, with a relaxed comfortable environment. Clean and well presented. We had two salads and a side of potatoes and broccoli. The meal was a large portion and I write this with amazement because salads are usually these flimsy dishes with hardly anything to satisfy your hunger, but, these were BIG salads, full of flavour and fresh. The sides were just as good and complimented the meal well.Five stars would have been awarded only we felt as though the service wasn’t particularly welcoming. They appeared robotic, quite bland as though you’re talking to a brick wall. Though very capable of their jobs and efficient, a little conscientiousness when communicating and advising customers. A friendly smile goes a long way and can bring out the tips! Overall very nice, service needs a little more personality and care, and we’d return I. The near future. Thank you
My calzone was delicious!I would return for this fusion cooking.Italian with a kick! Great idea!
A very good friend of ours who plays golf at the course here introduced us to the cosine. He says the chef prepares the herbs and spices daily.I believe him. The food is excellent. And the staff are too
Attached to a golf course with Italian/Indian options. Good food and service. Can improve upon options!!
Nice place but a touch pricey. £14 for 2 beers and a small coke. Not too busy, reasonable service. Note the driving range is temporarily closed. Something new coming soon.
Very nice ambience and helpful staff. Reasonably priced
I came to this restaurant for my little brothers birthday and to be honest it was actually really nice. I had the lamb burger and I say, wow it was so delicious and mouthwatering! However, because of my taste, I did not enjoy the spicy chips combined with the lamb burger☹️I also had a lamb lasagna and it was so great! It was amazing! It was like God giving me more delight than ever! Another complaint is that the potatoes in one of the dishes were basically frozen and that let us down on our visit to this fine restaurant. But I saw something that was really abnormal.... There was an employee of the restaurant on his phone doing nothing and then there was another employee beside him sleeping on the padded side of the tables. And when I was making my way back from the toilets I again saw something weird... it was two men who I imagined to be the owners of the restaurant and they were kind of play fighting in a way or trying to make each other flinch🤨its questionable.
Great food, very interesting Indian-Italian fusion! Reasonable prices, good portions, and a large drink menu. A lot of mocktail and veggie options too.
I believe I got carried away by the number of reviews and the ratings for this restaurant. The food served in the restaurant was below average and of the several dishes we ordered none hit the spot. Ended up finishing only half the food and leaving disappointed.Perhaps the Indian dishes on the menu may have tasted better but of all the Italian dishes we ordered, there wasn’t any flavour.
Good place for a works catch up, easy parking. Food good but a tad expensive, quick service good location even if you dont hit balls with sticks lol
Environment was great but my issue was with the service/food.I had a seafood pasta in which I asked the server to bring back/ recook as the mixed seafood, particularly the prawns didnt look well done/properly cooked..after disputing with the server that it wasnt well done he then brought it back to the kitchen, after 10-15mins they brought it back and I ate it....only to find the next morning I have food poisoning!
Lovely, delicious food. Plenty of choices. Friendly and helpful staff
More than just great Italian food plus you can play golf !
Lovely food, but service can improve.
Was ok 1st time after a long time being out after covid.Good was ok have tasted better thereService wasnt all that.
Great food. Good atmosphere. Good service. Found it a little odd that they dont serve any chutneys with the daal bhajias and could only offer chilli sauce when we asked for some. They should review that because bhajias were very nice but would have been much better with some coconut chutney as one would expect.
Good place to get-together and enjoy India/Italian fusion food.
Food was ok, large portions and prompt service. The surroundings dont look too appealing though...the windows are very dirty, so give an air of neglect.
Place was clean .. not many people, so we arrived on the time has booked and we were practically out of there ordered eaten enjoyed within the hour ... Thank you blue zenzer
Good choice of starters and mains. Very accommodating.
Food is decent, staff are friendly, service is great. Highly recommend, especially after a bit of golf
Usually it is excellent, but yesterday the mogo was below par, not their usual crispy small mogo bites in pomodoro sauce. Instead, theyre were big fat chunks of mogo and not crispy at all!!Mokitos were just as good - the best in London, I would say.
Good food service was a bit slow initially but got better.
Excellent food highly recommend the grilled rack of lamb
Busy but still a good driving range. Food is good fusion
Not somewhere I would choose to go for a special meal. Its a bit lacklustre
One of my fav restaurants, the food is soooo delicious. Staff are very friendly and it’s a great atmosphere
Good food, best Indo italian town ..loads to choices for vegetarians .. and ambiance scores good point as well.
Great food although service was a bit slow
The food was incredible and really enjoyable. Will go back for sure,
Absolutely outstanding place,John is very friendly and helpful. Special thanks to the chefs.
Spaghetti bolonese was 10/10, pizza was good too, good customer service.
To start off, I arrived here with my Mrs. We both hadnt been to Blue Zenzer in over 5 years, so we were both excited for our meal. Sat down, ordered drinks and food. Drinks came, followed by our starters and mains together. From the looks of our meal so far, it seemed like the authenticity and quality of the food has declined over the years. The bruschetta was not great, no seasoning, it was basically hard small pieces of bread with cherry tomatoes thrown all over it. Secondly, the wings, oh god where do I start. They should have specified that they were fried, as we thought they were going to be wings coated in spicy hot sauce. The wings were drenched, and no exaggeration SWIMMING in oil. This led us to not eat one single wing.On to the mains. Me and the Mrs both ordered pasta, in which we asked the waiter if he could tell the chefs to make it extra spicy. They both had no flavor, and the spice level was non existent. All in all, we were very disappointed with the quality of food and service, and will not be returning to the restaurant in the future.Side note - the black currant lemonade was the best part of our meal.
Good restaurant good service good food
Good fresh food.
As always very good food and service
Lovely location with great parking facilities. The menu is an Indian/Italian fusion affair with lots to choose from. The issue is the lack of consistency - some days the food is great, others it is average at best.
Love the food! Always consistent
Best food I have ever tasted
The food here is delicious. Really authentic. Their signature fromaggio is to die for. Drinks, cocktails and most importantly their mock tails are fantastic. Excellent place for dinner or lunch after a round of golf.
Specious restaurant with good food
Gd food and staff observed social distancing and cleanliness throughout. Perfect place to take kids for lunch whilst being able to enjoy a touch of spice. Love the fusion menu
Some of the dishes are very good and some are bad ... very unusual as there is no average dishes.. I been eating there for a long time and will continue .. however like other people the menu needs to be revised and consistent dishes must be a priority as even the good dishes fluctuate in quality... as a chef myself the owner can Facebook me and i am happy to provide some suggestions that would revolutionise the restaurant... Hes trying to offer Italian/ Indian fusion.. There are many more obvious recipes he should offer that many people would like taking into consideration his usual customer type.. add me on Facebook and I will help. For example and most obvious addition is the use of coriander and basil ... Both god of herbs for both India and Italy... i can recommend how to use that more.. plus actual dishes I have in mind...My consultancy fees are 395 pounds which will include making 2 dishes ..
Good service and the food is super tasty. Great spot for lunch after a game of golf
Excellent food and service.
Unique selection of food. Very reminiscent of fusion restaurants in Bangalore. One to visit if you fancy an indian twist alongside regular dishes such as pizzas, pastas etc.
I visited today and I must say the service has improved a lot. The staff were friendly and helpful. Keep it up.
Food was greatGreat service
Went there for a Christmas meal. Superb service that night (thanks Ravi & co). Also the food was very tasty and always hot upon service at the table. No complaints. A really great night out. Also provided the crackers !
A nicely located Italian/Indian fusion restaurant serving good food. The presentation and flavor of the different dishes was good but not brilliant. Ambience was fine and again not exceptional. Overall just above average but has great potential to improve.
Great when first opened. Gone downhill like a roller-coaster. Bay mattsvare damaged, auto machines removed and balls are battered. Course is great layout and challenging but greens and fairways are getting zero tlc.
Indian not Italian... They gave me spaghetti with chicken curry
The quality of food is still the same. Fantastic. Portions have become smaller but still appropriate.
I have eaten here over several years and the food menu has some really great options. The garlic bread is a must, the spicy mogu is really great as well as the pizza options. The chicken is great and there is a good variety of pasta options. Cocktails are great for both alcoholic and also in mocktail. It gets very busy so book in advance. Slightly lower rating as the service needs to improved as we had to wait for drinks for a while the mains came at separate times and we were served by four different members of staff so had re order items again. Quality of food on pizza could be improved. Overall a very place with a great environment for family and couples and friends to enjoy.
Food service was fast once the waiter had eventually taken our order. The artichoke cheese dip had no artichoke. The website is outdated with offers that had expired in 2018. Good for meeting large groups and drinks but not for a quick lunch.
Food was great. Place is very nice and you can also go play golf at a range near it. Waiters are polite and the food is reasonable price too. Its like an Indian italian fusion. Great for family, friends or dates. And bar is nice too.
Great food
Awesome food
Great selection of food with a great vibes. TV also shows the latest football or sporting event for anyone to enjoy, but isnt too intrusive to the meal or ambience of the room.
Nice fusion food with tasty dishes. Chilli coriander pizza is incredible!
The food was excellent, what we had was great, the lamb rack...fantastic.Service was good as well, all food at the same time....
Been going to this Restaurant for many years. Just feel like its loosing its sharpness. Suggest menu needs updating and prices needs to be checked
Good food
This place has the worst customer service I have come across. Extremely moody staff that need to be trained how to talk/greet/smile. Basic etiquettes are missing - welcome, thank you and asking if you have enjoyed the food or whether youd need anything else wont be found here. Staff here do not like going that extra mile. They dont even like going that first mile. Its actually quite shocking and depressing that these nincompoops talk in a rude and aggressive manner. They are pushy as to how long you have the table booked for and where you sit, while they also make a face if you ask for basics such as tap water and table sauces, even forgetting on purpose that youve even asked. A major reason why I will never come back here.We found the food really up and down - both the lamb burger and lamb lasagne were appalling. The lamb burger was very tough and made with kebab mince. It had not a drip of sauce in it and was more dry than the Sahara desert. While the lasagne was tangy with too much tomato sauce and hardly any sheets/mince in there. Full of cheese and executed poorly. The rack of lamb, however, was tender and tasty. The spicy chips were also good. The drinks were flavoursome, both the non-alcoholic Pina Colada and Virgin Strawberry Mojito. All in all, a poor date night with the Mrs.Travelled over an hour to get there, and I certainly left feeling blue.Poor service, poor food, poor ambience.Avoid, even if youre there for a round of golf.
Nice restaurant amazing food decent service. Highly recommend
Service was good, lots of social distance and all the staff wore face mask. Would definitely go again.
Ordered two lamb burgers, chicken drumsticks and dessert. The meat within the burgers was raw. And the fried chicken was dripping with grease. Flagged this to management/ waiters who were reluctant to address the issue. The item eventually was sent back to the kitchen and 50mins later I was served again. On the second attempt the meat came out raw again and the drumsticks were inedible.Based on my experience the chefs dont no the difference between raw, medium or welldone. The manager did remove the cost of this burger from the final bill but this was after 30mins of deliberation. I was then told that I should not come back as their standards are not to my liking. This is a very unprofessional attitude and to be honest they should be grateful for the business during these challenging times.Ive visited this location a few times now and I have to say, the quality of the food is not that great. I also order a cheesecakes and chocolate cake from their desserts menu that end up being stale and dry. Its as if it had been dehydrated or old stock.Quality of the food needs to drastically improve and staff need to improve their attitude. Doesnt help when a waiter is a vegetarian and telling a professional chef how meat should be cooked and served in a patronizing manner
Always an great experience when dining here, the food is delicious followed by great service from the staff especially John. Social distancing is in place and works very well making our expeirence enjoyable during Covid-19.
This restaurant has been around a long time and is attached to part of a golf driving range. It has never been a place I could recommend. The Italian food has been modified for an Indian pallet with various spices and chilies added to the food. Just not my thing. I like traditional food to be served in a traditional way. This place takes adding a twist to a level far beyond. Only been there when invited and for me its always been a disappointment. However, it is to everyones own choice and other friends have always enjoyed the food here. I just find it very high carb, over spiced and not many healthy options available on the menu. Price point is average at around £25/head. Ambience is pleasant. Staff are friendly and helpful.
Their phone is constantly busy during the eat out to help out scheme. Thurs - Sunday no problems.
Possibly one of the best places to eat. Great fusion of Italian and Indian. I always order the rack of lamb. Drinks are very reasonable and atmosphere great. Toilets are a major down. Partly because its a golf driving range as well. Either way check it out
