This place is a Tourist heritage of Uttarakhand, it has its own historic part. This is the very same place where Mata Sati got devoted herself in Yagya Kund(Holy fire) Also you will find the birth place of Mata sati here and the Temple. Inside there are Ghats to take a bathe in Maa Ganga river!!

Daksh Temple is a very old temple in the Kankhal area of the old religious city of Haridwar. There is a story of this temple. Maa Sati had jumped in the Yagya Kund as her father Raja Daksh had not invited her husband for that famous Yagya Ayojan.Kund is still there in the temple. This temple is on the banks of holy river Ganga (Ganges). So a devotee can take holy dip in river Ganga and then visits this lord shiva temple. There is a lot of space for parking and also kids play area near the temple premises.

Its same as other hindu temples..Full of water and no cleanliness.. Also no covid protocols are followed here...

You can take auto for this place. Ghats are clean and well maintaine. Guys just request you dont litter in this place. Stay blessed and stay fit always..

It is the temple of raja Daksh , father of Shri sati mata... ,Our family has a traditional of mundan at this ghat ,it has vast campus , which is quite clean .some of the construction seems quite old. Ghat is quite and calm.. can be visited for that peace of mind u r looking for

I just reach there by mistake, going to somewhere else, I didnt enter the temple premises but the environment seems to be quiet and peaceful, the sound of river Ganga following by side of Mandir can be heard clearly, I just stopped there for 2- three minutes then moved towards my destination..

This is Sati Mata s birthplace as well as the place where Sati left her life in Sati kund when her father Daksha insulted her husband Lord Shiva. This place is in Kankhal and Ganga is flowing near sati kinda adjacent to the temple campus. Ganga is not very clean here. But people takes bath due to the mythological importance of this place. Opposite to this temple campus Maa Aanandamoyis Ashram is there. I have visited that place too for half an hour.The Daksheswar Mahadev Temple is a Shiva temple named for King Daksha Prajapati, who was the father of Sati, while Sati was the first consort of Shiva. Daksheswar Mahadev Temple is one of the many temples in Haridwar and purely from an aesthetic point of view, it’s not all that interesting.
