Quite and somewhat out of sight café.None the less the customer service was great and the barister was aware of the single-origin bean she sold me in a batch brew coffee.Tapestry coffee roasters are a local one Ive not yet tried but will again.I was impressed by this and it tasted great, of pear and quite nutty.Decor could use some love, but it did seem a relatively new coffee shop.Ill come again if Im in the area.

Sadly the coffee has gone from incredible to probably won’t be back for another. waited 20 mins for a mediocre coffee. food does not seem to be up to the standard as it was at the beginning of the year. will definitely come back another time - maybe they were just having an off day but sadly it seems that this once gem has gone a bit downhill

Rustic, kind hipster place with mixed furniture. Limited menu and on the pricier side, but everything seems to be locally sourced when possible which is cool. There is a large outdoor area which is perfect for mothers groups or if you have a dog.

Great cafe, extremely good food at a reasonable price, especially for the health conscious. Lovely outdoor seating area also.

I have from a number of visits to this Cafe and others around Newcastle area that these guys are doing a wonderful brew (best for me at the moment) and fantastic food, its become my favourite drop in!

Delicious and carefully prepared coffees, and a wide selection of sweet and savoury treats to suit a variety of dietary preferences. The old Lampworks building is a charming space, and the garden is full of beautiful native plants and birds, all shaded by a giant eucalyptus. Kid-friendly, dog-friendly, environment-friendly, and budget-friendly. It is located next to a string of second hand and antique shops, with a large carpark behind it. It is easily accessible by the number 12 bus which connects Merewether and Newcastle West to Jesmond and Wallsend. The greatest strength of Clyde Street Café, though, is the staff: they are warm, thoughtful, welcoming, calm, and good-humoured. Id recommend this place to anyone.

Great Cafe. Great food. Great staff. Kid friendly - space outside to run wild. Good variety on menu but not complicated. Small treats in the bakery cabinet. Service speed is good even during busy periods. Highly recommend!!

My new fave. Really recommend the house made ricotta toast with greens 🥬 it was really really good. Coffee was great, good long black. The rest of the menu looks really thought out and well done, looking forward to trying the rest. Plenty of seating. Friendly service
