Camp Corbett was built in 1987 and is located near the village of Kaladhungi in the state of Uttarakhand, north India. The lodge is 45 minutes drive from Corbett Tiger Reserve and 6 to 7 hours by road or rail from Delhi. The Anand family, who are very hospitable hosts, have created a jungle lodge which is in harmony with its superb natural setting, overlooking the River Boar and facing the Himalayan foothills. Accommodation comprises 15 double occupancy cottages in a tranquil garden, with a thatched roundhouse at the centre of the Camp.
Visited 12 years back. Stayed 2 days on way to Binsar. Beautiful place. Owner was I think Mrs Arora. I do not know who is the owner now. Just A few days back Belinda Wright had visited that place. Wonderful stay. Lovely Boer river and the black butterflies.
A butique resort with old world charm .. The owner, Mrs Suman anand is an excellent lady with a bag full of stories and travel tips about the place. :)
Still the same retreat in the wilderness. Mrs Anand is working on a post-Covid recovery and renovation to restore staffing and rooms.
This place is at kaladhoongi road ,near मंगोली थाना , this place is ideal destination if you want to stay outside from the rush area of Nainital ,but want to enjoy the jungle ,and dont want to go far from Nainital , here u can also see landslides naturally , it occurs here often।। You can also be heroic while watching wild animals here ,as leaopard often roam this area , well I have seen here so I am suggesting ,that dont raom here at evening time , as this place really demands guts ,so if want really some adventure so this place is just for you , dont go on the haldwani route to go nainital ,just catch the kaladhoongi route and get this camp Corbett ।। Happy journey guys ।। follow me on my YouTube channel , Rashmi the solo traveler , and get more videos of traveling around uttrakhand।।
Very. Good. Place.
Needs post-COVID maintenance and upkeep.
Quiet place
Have been visiting Camp Corbett for over 25 years. A great place to stay especially if you are interested in Wildlife or Birding. Friendly owners, great hospitality and food and if inclined plenty of jungle to explore right next to the Camp. The nearby Corbett Park is close by and arrangements can be made for day visits. The Boar River is a great place for Birding especially in the early morning and is only a few minutes walk away, but you dont have to go out if you dont want to as the Camp itself is full of birds. The surrounding forests have wildlife which includes Tiger, Elephant, Leopard, Sambhar, Chital, Kakar, Wild Boar, Jungle Fowl, Peacock and many more.Signs of the Big Cats can often be found close to Camp.
Book in advance. Dont miss to go to the nearby river.
