An amazing piece of medieval Armenian architecture, built in 12 century and currently under restoration. Up until 1950s there was a school for children from nearby villages, monastery and a cultural center. Not only the monastery is worth exploring, but also the views around. Very nicely mapped on Janapar Trail guide
Ok
A remarkable Armenian medieval monastery, there are obviously more ancient buildings nearby, located in a surprisingly beautiful place on a small mountain, can be reached by jeep, but of course it is better to walk
The monastery or Gtchavank was built in 1241-1248.
