Dr Mary Edge was brilliant in removing my 15 year old cats eye which was malignant. She reviewed all of the options with me and was very caring. I am beyond grateful for her expertise and highly recommend her and the staff at PetPlex!!! Thank you Mary and staff!!! Bailey is doing great and it is because of your excellent care!!!
On a few occasions when I had emergencies they were too busy and couldn’t get my dogs in. I forgave them once when they told me they couldn’t do a cesarean on my female (who was struggling) until Monday, I was calling on a Friday. Labor doesn’t wait till they can schedule them in. We’ve paid a lot of money in labs, no one calls with results, we have always had to call them to get results. Then there were a few other issues, I go go on for awhile, but then I called about my puppy. The girl answering the phone says, is this an emergency or can you hold?”. I said it’s an emergency. She still puts me on hold then 2-3 min later comes back and asks what the emergency was. I explained, then she says “let me see if a vet can see an emergency”. Then comes back and says no, they are too busy. I had to drive 40 min away to a ER Vet to get my dog in. Mind you, I have 6 dogs that went there and my boyfriend a has 4. We have paid thousands to this vet each year. They just want your money for regular checkups and shots! They don’t care about your dog! I’m not a complainer but they’ve gone too far. Seems like malpractice.
Took my dog in Friday evening just to ease my mind because he was having some eye trouble. I called first, and the first thing out of their mouths were “it’s $140.00 just to walk in the door for an emergency visit”. All about they money. First thing the vet we saw does is jump to “it’s because he’s been beaten” Not even knowing what was going on yet. Had just walked in the door and accused us of beating our dog. Little did she know, or care to ask, we took him in because our dogs play rough and our other dog scratched his eye. She muzzled him after saying that. I left not happy. Anyone who knows me, knows my dogs are spoiled and NOT beaten.
Our experience with PetPlex was nothing short of amazing. Our 13 year old dog quickly declined in health overnight. We called our normal veterinarian and she was unavailable. We called and scheduled an appointment with Dr. Costalansky. Our visit was a very emotional one and she was very caring and compassionate. She and her team (I believe Amanda) not only took excellent care of our dog but us as well.I cannot thank them enough for not only getting us an appointment same day but their caring nature given the circumstances.
Petplex will forever be our family vet ❤. They are very passionate when caring for our Bonnie & Tyson and any other animal. Thank you for always being reliable and a vet we can trust.Much love,2 happy pet parents 🐕
When you walk in- the staff is friendly, the atmosphere is welcoming. They are heavy on the thought of helping your pet as much as possible. The expertise that is shown here is one of the biggest reasons we love PetPlex.
My 8 year old lab was sick and I had become very concerned! I called every vet in my area and no one would see him because they were booked or he wasnt established there. His regular vet was not concerned and wanted to make an appointment a week out and I was not okay with it. I called PetPlex and they listened to my concerns and even though he wasnt a patient there they still got him in that day. They gave me a price estimate before the did anything. They seemed genuinely concerned with my dogs well being. Even though they had never met him before they could tell something was off! They made everything easy to understand, walked me through what they were doing and asked if I had any questions. They set up a treatment plan and wanted me to check back in a few days later in hopes he was doing better and I can honestly say he is! He is almost 100% back to my old playful puppy!! And for that I say thank you to the great Doctor and staff at PetPlex!! Thank you for listening, thank you for taking him and seeing him in a short amount of notice, thank you for being the only vet to see me! I had to drive an hour to get there but I definitely know I will be back!!
Im honestly so surprised by a lot of reviews so I wanted to leave a review for potential clients that this place is not as these reviews make it seem. I decided to switch to Petplex back in February after my one cat had suddenly fallen ill and died, I rushed here in hopes to save her, but she had passed in the parking lot. The staff was very caring and sincere despite the unfortunate situation. I got my dog Toby in March and called to schedule an appointment for him as well as my two other cats and, yes, there was a bit of a wait but it was definitely worth it. My cats hadnt been to a vet in a while, and they did not treat me poorly for this, and explained my cats were very healthy and certainly took their time to go over everything despite only doing car-side service in the pandemic. When I brought my dog, the staff was very inviting and gave him lots of love, the vet educated me on his breed and gave me a lot of useful information and I have been bringing him to training here since then. Sierra, the trainer is amazing and answers all of our questions and has been such a big help with Toby! I recently got another puppy, and was able to get her in quickly for the rest of her vaccines and I have no doubt that she will be properly cared for as well. I have been to a few different offices and I am proud to say that I chose PetPlex, I think it would be a mistake to go elsewhere.
Very very good service and stayed open to help me even after they was closed and definitely will go back
Just left there. Our dog had a pinpoint pupil from where we think our other dog scratched his eye. The vet accused us of beating our dog which made him have the pinpoint pupil. She then got the light to check his eyes and both the vet and the assistant held our dog down and he had a low rumble in his voice. They grabbed the muzzle and put it on him. If you had two people force you down you’d get angry too.
My daughter found a cat in the middle of the road on day. Cold, wet and lethargic. Since I have some knowledge of Veterinarian Medicine she brought the cat straight to me. Since there were no wounds or obvious indicators as to why the cat laid there on purpose we tried to get her seen by our Vet. He was too busy. Since this was not something that could wait I Googled the Vets in a 20 mile radius of us and Petplex came up. They said to bring her in right away. They did prays and an exam and told us she was 13 years old and dying of renal failure. It was heartbreaking for my daughter. The Vet and staff were so kind. They gave us options but said she had probably crawled up onto the road to die, it was her time. They even gave us a discounted rate since she was a stray. My daughter and I were so impressed we both switched Vets for our fur babies. Amazing how tragedy can turn into a blessing.
We took our pets here forever but it was constantly one thing after another of missed diagnosis and dropped information. There is NO continuity between providers and hot chance of ever getting the same vet, even when requested. If they would slow down and take 2 minutes to familiarize themselves with the pets, by reading their own chart notes, they would be better providers to our animals.1. My older spayed female was having incontinence issues. I brought this up at multiple appointments but kept receiving and antibiotics and wipes which never helped the issue. Our new vet knew immediately they issue was hormone related and constantly licking was causing the mild infection. Finding the root of the problem solved her issues almost immediately.2. Same dog has cataracts. One of the doctor suggested potential surgery the next doctor said her eyes are perfect. She is as blind as a bat constantly running into things. Surgery may be a bit aggressive for her but her eyes are far from perfect.3. My sister took her cat in multiple time with eye issues. Constantly had gunk coming out of his eye. They told her at least 3 times it was just allergies. The 4th time he was bleeding from his eye. Then she was told the eye was infected and he was prescribed antibiotics. The 5th time his eye had fallen out!!! He had a tumor behind his eye in his head that was inoperable! There is no reason this should not have been caught.4. Out of necessity (last minute planning) I was planning on boarding my dogs here this coming weekend. They called me a week and a half ahead of time to tell me they have a respiratory virus in the kennel that they can’t get under control. I was told that it was owners discretion if they wanted to take the risk by boarding their dogs there. I kept my reservation while making other arrangements. Today I received a terribly rude phone call that they needed to change my check in date. A week and a half before they close the kennel to clean? No wonder they can’t get rid of it. Do not tell me they the regular veterinary patients aren’t coming in contact with the boarded “deathly ill” patients. We switch offices immediately after the cat. There were multiple other frustrations over the years. Today was just the straw that broke that broke the camels back. If you are like looking for a local office I would recommend Feeder Creek Vet in Millersport we love them.
We called to have our dog checked because he had an infection around his neck. He is really suffering. We were told he could come in on June 29th. He will be dead by then! The doctors at Petplex always trying to strap you with very expensive prescriptions when there are more affordable options available that work just as well. I will never take my pets back to this joke of a veterinarian again.Chuck Byers
Ive been with Petplex for 20 years. This is now my last straw and I am switching vets. Ive got a sick pet. No appointments for 3 weeks. Ridiculous. They want you to pay for an emergency appointment if you need in sooner. Feels like they just want money. They are definitely not worried about my pet dying.
They did address the issue my Great Dane was having, however I have called in several times for a recommendation on some medicine to complete her healing and have yet to get a return call from Dr. Poorman. This is not a great first impression.
Caring and kind to your fur babies, also sympathetic to their owner willing to go the extra mile to make sure that everything is done to me too make you feel relaxed and that you pet is taking care of as well comforting compassion for your pet reasonably priced amazing hours amazing hours you just wouldnt believe thank you for being committed and having staff on shift and on call
My last resort was to leave a review to help people in the future. Our Chinchilla went to PetPlex two times to get hit teeth trimmed. Each time they were done incorrectly. I was lead to believe by the staff that he was 100% healthy. Little did they know I’m a Vet Assistant and very close with a Vet Technician. I had made another appointment at a new clinic to save my Chilly. He had died from the trauma and incorrect treatment from this clinic. We were beyond nice to them just reaching out to explain they had done his teeth completely uneven!!! They explained that that’s how chinchilla teeth are and that he was sick. Number one Chinchilla teeth are supposed to be EVEN. Number two it was communicated to us he was 100% healthy good to go home and recover. They are now saying he had a disease. They are an extremely unprofessional clinic and I will never trust them with another fuzzy family member. I just want people to know that way the same thing doesn’t happen to them. I want to use Chilly’s story so no one has to go through the pain and stress I did. It’s a shame they couldn’t just own up to their actions an do better that’s all I wanted.
I wont go into much detail but this was the worst Veterinarian visit of my familys life. They definitely need to RETRAIN their staff members.
Im sorry, but when someone comes to you when youre open and has a dog who is dying in the car, thats called emergency medicine. Critical care. If you are open there should be a doctor there. how dare you turn animals away and call yourself a hospital and put that on your list for treatments. Ive always heard very good things about petplex, but the experience was not good.
Not taking new clients. But yet called yesterday and got a different response under my boyfriends name. Horrible local service
Cant say enough. This team is amazing! After a day filled with calling every veterinarian in Newark and Heath and being told no one could help us with our dog we felt hopeless. When I called Petplex they without hesitation figured out an emergency appointment for him and stayed late into the night to help us.They were very informative and took time to assure we knew how to properly care for our fur baby at home to help him get better and never once made us feel rushed even though it was so late at night. Their honesty was so impressive and you could tell they truly cared about what was best for our dog. They saved his life and we are forever grateful. I will never take any of my animals elsewhere!
Took my dog to them with a dog bite I didnt have an appointment so was told to wait 10 minutes later I left. So unless your dog is bleeding to death dont bother taking them there! Very disappointed!Reply to the replyNo she wasnt seen. If you cared like you said why not make a call and check to see if she had been seen? They did get my name and number after all Ive never heard of having to make an appointment for an emergency. If I could have seen into the future maybe I could have made an appointment but unfortunately I dont have that power. There shouldnt be anything about emergency visits if you cant handle them!
Charged me a $50 “exam fee” when I just needed a simple vaccine. This vaccine needed to be boostered and I was told he would not need another exam when I came back in 3 weeks for the booster shot. 3 weeks later sure enough they tack on another $50 “exam fee” and tell me they’re not giving my dog back to me until I paid it. So they lied, then added on fees, then held my dog hostage until I paid them. Safe to say I’m never coming back.
Had my Mini Aussie neutered yesterday and they did a great job :) They walked me through the process over the phone and were very informative. My dog is very nervous around strangers but I could tell from the way they handled him that they were going to take good care of him. He’s already feeling much better today!
Thank u for taking my pup in . No one was trying to help me in zanesville .
This place is top notch!! We got the best emergency care for our Brownie girl when she had a ruptured tumor. They had never seen her before but took her right in. We have been going there ever since! ❤️
I had a emergency with my dog and called to make an appointment. I was under the impression that they took emergencies. When I called Dr Konstelansky told me that I should consider taking my dog to canal Winchester bc there could possibly be a chance our dog would be unsupervised, from 12:30-6. I told her that this was my only option and best for my big family and with the icy roads and that I would be bringing all my kids bc I had no babysitter and hubby was working. Just trying my best. I couldn’t imagine driving all 7, one with special needs to canal Winchester with Covid and icy roads. I offered up the idea that I could bring him in before afternoon and depending on what he needed, If he needed treatment I could bring him back in at 6:00, when my husband would be home w our 4 wheel drive and no kiddos. She told me that it was only her and someone else that was taking care of four dogs already and that I was being counter productive and wouldn’t I be doing the same thing anyway driving all the way out to buckeye lake two times in icy conditions???I told her she was rude and disrespectful and that I was trying my best. She said she didn’t think that they would be the best to take care of my dog I told her how rude she was being.I asked for her name and she gave it to me and when I asked how to spell it she said that was inappropriate. She is very condescending and unprofessional.I’m beyond disappointed that I was turned away because it was a holiday and someone didn’t want to work.
The people here are always friendly and welcoming. I think they are professional and knowledgeable. I was amazed at how quickly my pets were seen given that they are always busy. It is just a testament to the great work they do that they have so many loyal customers. Will continue to bring my pets here for outstanding care and compassion.
I had my dog in to get spayed, and overall checkup. Found the person checking her in didnt want to listen to questions. They just kept trying to sell me extra services. They quoted me one price on Heart work test and charged a different amount, then didnt even give me the results. What they told me over the phone was different than what they put in her official notes. This vet was part of an adoption process, it makes me wonder if they gave the same care because it was a discount.
We recently had to put our dog down who got to have 15 years of life, we had a hard decision to make that made us feel like we were stuck between rocks but ultimately we went with putting her down with all the medical problems she had. Pet Plex treated miss Daisy like their own and once and let us be there every step of the way before she went even with the pandemic going on. 1 week passed and we received a card in the mail saying sorry for your loss and signed by the techs and doctors I put a dog down twice some where else and never got that and it made me realize PetPlex is the way to go for animals.
Dr. Edge and the staff were compassionate and caring when we recently had to make a difficult decision to say goodbye to our cat, Patsy. The level of professionalism is non compare.
If I could rate a 0 I would. We brought our dog in on an EMERGENCY, they did X-rays and said he had a broken pelvis, and a dislocated back leg. Got a call the next day saying he would be Paralyzed in his back end that we would need to put him down. We needed up coming to say our good byes and he was moving his back end. We decided not to put him down. Brought him home and the next day or so we felt his front leg (that they had put the iv in) and thought it felt weird. Long story short we took him to another vet for a second opinion. There they said he had a broken front leg as well and it had been to long for us to do anything about it (because of them). We called to tell them and they could care less. Didn’t even ask if they could pay to have him put down or even ask if they could take away some of the 1000 that we had paid into it. There is a lot more to the story that I won’t go into. Please if you love your pets, do NOT take your pets here!
They took real good care of Pepper my Yorkie.
Humbly thank Dr. Poorman and Allie Mason for being there in our emergency Saturday evening with our SENIOR fur baby Callie. Your compassion and devotion truly showed. This vet service was so understanding and patient while we said our last goodbyes. Cant say enough about this hospital. Thank you for being there for our family. The Cortright family.
I have used this facility several times on short notice and theyve never failed to come through. The individuals that I have come in contact with have been very caring. I would give them 6 stars if I was allowed.
I love this place so far honestly! They was so nice and clean! Done so good with our 4 fur babies. I’d recommend them.
Staff was very rude yelled at me when was trying ask questions about vaccines said didn’t have time explain it to me by then my dog Lady had gotten scared and was on the floor then veterinary assistant proceeded to drag my dog on the floor I left will never be back horrible place
If I could rate Pet Plex more than 5 stars, I would! I took my very sick cat here in a panic one morning at 7:30am, as soon as they opened. He was immediately seen by the emergency vet, and they very thoroughly explained what was going on, course of treatment, and how they expected recovery to go. Ive since boarded him there twice, and could not be more impressed with the boarding staff. Very helpful, thorough, and you can tell they genuinely care about your pet. If you are like me and have a strong emotional attachment to your pet, you will not have to worry leaving them here. Theyre always extremely busy when Im in there, and all employees are so calm, collected, and friendly amidst the chaos. Such wonderful people!
I had my doubts about this place because my brother dog ate a sock one time and they didnt find it but i had to recently take my dog there because he was not eating well at all they kept him overnight did test but an iv in him to rehydrate him gave me some anibiotics before i went to bed the day i picked him back up he was eating again begging for food and acting like himself again cost a good bit but they made him better
I love the environment. I was taken back to the room within a few minutes and saw Dr. Edge within 3-4 minutes. She was very thorough and gave the best recommendations and game plan for my new puppy. I will refer my my friends and family. Just a great experience with Dr. Edge and her staff overall!!!
I love this place. I first went in an emergency situation and they were so helpful, calm, reassuring and professional. They gave us all information needed. I now return as a regular (will be at least) for all normal vet visits. The prices for services are great compared to in-town vets im used to and the fact they accept care credit is great for times you need a vet visit but not necessarily have the funds. I definitely plan to look into training services they have to offer . Great place!
Best Care Anywhere. If you love your pet please dont take it to a part time strip mall vet. Getting the right diagnosis early may save your best friends life.
DO NOT TAKE YOUR PET HERE AS MAKING APPOINTMENTS EVEN A MONTH IN ADVANCE DOES NOT MATTER..let me explain...after making appointment whi h was set a month away for our dog who is miserable for the last month with itchy skin and taking work off today and CONFIRMING the appointment the day before...driving there today for appointment which for us is 20 miles 1 way..they tell us our appointment has been bumped for the day for another month...NOW..with that being said...we couldnt even get a phone call before we traveled to tell us this...Needless to say WE OR OUR PETS WILL NEVER EVER EVER COMING BACK...very unprofessional
My baby puppy is very sick and everyone has been very nice. They all keep me posted on how she is doing. Very professional and knowledgeable. Everyone is treating my baby with lots of love, along with medicine.
I am so very thankful to the vet and the workers here. I received a call while at work from my husband frantic about our German Shepherd puppy bleeding. Our bigger dog had reacted to the puppy while my husband was outside of the room they were playing in. He had two puncture wounds that they had found and were able to treat. We have a sore puppy, but one that is slowly getting better. I went during emergency hours so it was a little pricier, but so worth it to get him in with us not knowing how deep his wounds were or what would happen. I am so grateful for the team here. I truly do not know what I wouldve done if not for them.
Dr..k is the best and is extremely thorough with my dog. I feel comfortable allowing Dr. K treat my dog which is saying a lot since I wouldnt let just any Vet treat my dog. The staff well 50 50 I like some and have no opinion of some. But if you need a great Vet I would highly recommend Dr. K.
While traveling for the holidays we had to make an emergency appointment for our dog who injured his back while playing ball. They were incredibly helpful and were able to get us in within 20 minutes of calling! The veterinarian, tech and the rest of the staff were very courteous and took great care of our pup. Thank you!
The groomer John was really great with my dogs. Sparky is 4 and he usually sits and loves to be groomed. Peanut is 7 months old and she is a challenge. She was having nothing to do with grooming. She has way too many opinions for her age! She still looked cute but my heart goes out to John because Peanut is a challenge for 4.7 lbs of fury. Sorry John we will be back....so be prepared! We love your work!
Life savers. Saw my dog late and were very professional. Im so thankful to them for helping put my mind at ease. I feel like they saved my best friend
I had to have my Eddie pts and the staff seemed very caring. I have another cat that is very sick and took him yesterday for his appointment. I was met at the door and told I was not allowed in. They would take him check him out treat him then bring him back. Of course I was upset. Never had I encountered this with any vet. I dont feel I was rude but I wanted to know why and said Id never been treated this way. The tech that took him in was not friendly. They no more than took him in then a tech and some guy brought him right back out with no exam done. He wasnt in there long enough. They said he was stable and told me to take him to another vet my behavior was unacceptable. Im sorry but anyone would be upset. I was very worried about him with good reason. I took him to my usual vet this morning and I was told he is very sick. He was treated and cared for and I didnt have to wait outside. My cat is Fiv positive. I feel the staff at Pet Plex could have been more understanding and caring. They should have treated him. My first visit went so well I was going to make them my vet of choice. Ill just stay with the vet Ive been using. At least he cares about the animals he treats and the owners feelings. Thats more than I can say for Pet Plex.
They are very knowledgeable. Great interaction with the staff. Felt safe leaving my puppy there overnight to have tests done. Thank you for taking such good care of Brownie.
Thank you Dr. K. for helping us with the hard decision to put our cat down. Everyone at Petplex has been very kind and helpful. I feel like we get honest, genuine help and are not charged an arm and a leg for unnecessary services. I appreciate Dr. K and the staff very much.
A wonderful staff took very care my cat nitro cant thank them enough awesome place
Worst vet experience Ive ever had. We checked in 10 minutes early and were not taken to a room until 20 minutes after the appointment time. I let the staff know my dog was nervous around bigger dogs because they had a very large dog unleashed behind the counter with them. They said he never gets out. I had 3 kids with me (ages 5, 4, and 4 months) but still made us wait forever. Apparently the staff was not notified we were here. After having my dog seen, while checking out, the dog behind the counter got out and went right up to my dog and got in her face. I was bitten on the thigh in the process. Then I was given a cold shoulder for the rest of the checkout. No apologies were given. I will never go back.
To the moon and back, they are absolutely the best thats around in the area. Wouldnt take my for a family member anywhere else. Absolutely amazing staff, very very, during to their heart, they did I absolutely love Dr. Poor man!!! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
They take great care of our dog even though she hates going. We have been taking her there for 6 years . All the vets and vet techs are kind and thorough. Their hours make it easy to schedule.
Went in for an emergency visit on a Sunday night. Expected quick and in a hurry to get us out with a large price. The cost was extremely reasonable which in and of itself is enough but the doctor we saw was so great. She took the time to not only fix up our dog but to talk with my aspiring veterinarian. While I would have rather not had to go, it was way beyond what I was thinking would be the best case. I would have paid what I did just for the conversation between the vet and my daughter! Wish I could remember her name I put it in here she was awesome!!
Great for emergency but not on the cost. Its a long drive and then the cost is ridiculous. Pay double than to go to a regular vet or discount vet and pay half or less for same issue. Like I said if its an emergency there is no other choice and they are very nice people but the expense of it is crazy .
My first and last experience with PETPLEX at Buckeye Lake. Very rude and unprofessional. We understand emergencies but you dont let others wait without an explanation. Sat for one half hour past appointment time and ask when we would see the Vet. we were advised they were in an emergency, fine we understand but, let us know and dont let us sit. As the owner of a 501(C)3, Cat rescue I will say this is the most unprofessional business I have encountered. One star is too much in this case.
Took my best friend there to be checked, and he needed to be put to sleep. The staff and the vet were very informative and very sympathetic. I really appreciated their professionalism and caring nature of my situation. Being that it was the hardest thing Ive had to do. R.I.P. Jacko
Would not recommend taking your pet to PetPlex. They charged me $500 for seeing my boxer and knew what was wrong with her but didnt care to tell me. Just wanted to keep running tests to get as much money as they could out of me and send my dog home with 2 different pain medications knowing she was going to get worse and wanted me to come back in 2 weeks later to do more unnecessary tests. And guess what? The medicine they gave her literally PARALYZED her!! She can no longer use her back legs at all! They knew exactly what was wrong with her as soon as we walked through the door. Worst vet experience ever!!
Let me start by saying Dr.K is great and was awesome with my greyhound that finally lost her battle. But my experience yesterday was the most horrific thing I’ve ever seen at a veterinary office! My greyhound was taken in to have her front elbow joint looked at, its had some swelling off and on and her limping a little for a couple weeks. But mind you still taking walks, jumping up on couches and beds and even in and out of car. They wanted to do an X-ray, so I agreed but specially told them Do Not Lift her. Dr. Comes in and shows me a picture of a severely broken humerus bone and says I don’t know how she’s even standing. I was puzzled. She then says she has osteosarcoma,. We need to amputate, possibly chemo which she’ll only live 3 months or euthanize her. The tech then brought my baby back in dragging her leg which is clearly broken and shoulder hanging. Then proceeded to have us Stand around fir 30 min waiting on 4 pain meds to make her comfortable until I can muster up the courage to put her down. All the while I’m sobbing, had to ask for even a box of tissues from the lobby!! We questioned the tech about lifting her he said he had to. I said why, you can’t take s photo standing up? Humans do! I would have never agreed to the X-ray if he was going to lift her, because I know how she is. I told him, she can’t even function now!!! He then said “ it was going to happen eventually!” I am sickened!! I now have to put my baby , whom was fine walking in, no other issues what so ever, to sleep because THEY broke her leg!!! Then yo top it off , paid $152.38 for that visit!!! I am so angry and hurt I can barely function myself!!! Please DO NOT take your precious babies here!!!
Been going there for years. As a nurse, I can tell all the staff put the animals first. Dawn is an excellent office manager. Dr. Poorman is superb. I have used their grooming, surgical, and wellness services for my animals. Even though we have moved to Florida, I still have my pets receive their yearly checkups when we visit Ohio.
My experience at Petplex was great. I am a new customer from Newark Ohio and was very pleased. I am a first time pet owner and the staff at Petplex answered all my questions and gave me great advice for raising my cat properly. I am very happy, will continue to be a loyal customer, and will gladly recommend Petplex to any pet owner.
After being told at our regular vet , that they wont take any appointments after two, my wife and I both work so this wasnt possible, I called pet Plex , they understood, and arranged an evening appointment, the staff was friendly, the vet was friendly and caring, our puppy got her shots ,she needed and now we will be going there permanently !!!!Thank you pet Plex !!!
I had a good experience at Petplex. We were getting our dog fixed. Everything went smoothly. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. They called me shortly after the procedure to tell me how things went. A few days after I picked my dog up, they called to check how he was doing.
Wow! Our dog snapped her chain and was hit this evening. We were in and out of ED in no time. Excellent service and care! Dr. Poorman and staff are amazing! I felt safe leaving our crazy Korra overnight in their loving care! Thank you! ❤
The staff is very helpful and caring. Dr. K is wonderful! He explains things happening with your pet in language you can understand and has a special touch with the animals.
Wow! Perplex saved our little doggies life! I cant express my gratitude enough! The Doctor, the staff, the environment, was absolutely amazing! All of our babies are going to be patients here regularly! The prices are very fair, a lot less than other competitors, they actually are in this business because they care! Thank you so much Perplex Animal Hospital! Michael Harvel...
Nice people. You get what you pay for. A little more than others but well worth it because these people actually care. Will continue to go whenever needed.
Usually a great vet service, however, a couple weeks ago we had a VERY ill stray kitten. Called to bring her in as emergency was told we had a balance and they REFUSED to see this kitten. I was shocked and so very disappointed and sad. We had to go to Med Vet. By the time we drive all the way there they said it was too late and had to put her to sleep. Shame on you Petplex! Will NOT be back. 😢
Our dog had ran off and came back hurt...the staff was absolutely wonderful!!! Justin Kirchhofer was an amazing!!! The office was very clean and had fun/nice decorations as well as a lot of information about animals, products and procedures.
Nice clean clinic with very friendly helpful personnel. Some lab facilities and xray on site. Kennel and pet classes available too. Ive had no complaints.
My mother took our dog Riley to your office around 9pm on October 15, 2015. I am very disappointed to hear that Douglas M. Poorman who is the owner of the practice was incredibly rude to my family and was more worried about getting his payment than actually trying to take care of my dog. He did not do anything he should have done to help the dog. They had been there 15 minutes before even looking at Riley. He did not give him an IV, he did not place him on a heating pad to keep his body temperature constant, he did not do anything to keep him hydrated. Then he falsely accused my mother of unsanitary and unethical pet keeping. He did NOT give us the option to put the dog down as were afraid he will not make it through the night. He told us that if the pet survives, he will NOT give it back to us and will find a more suitable home for him. I AM VERY UPSET about this whole visit. He was more worried about getting paid his money than saving the dogs life. He spent over an hour arguing with my mom and her friend about money instead of keeping an eye on Riley. I will be calling the appropriate personnel in the morning to report him for malpractice. This is an extremely upsetting experience with someone who is supposed to save animal lives instead of filling his bank account. It is safe to say I will never return to your facility as long as I live.
Always excellent service. Might be a little more expensive but very much worth it. Only the best for my babies.
They have always taken great care of our dogs. I just wish they also took exotics.
Nice place love Dr Doug but prices too high so I have to go elsewhere for dogs shots and got fixed at humane society
I would give 0 stars if I could. I took my cat in when he was sick, they gave him meds and told me that there was a HIGH chance that he would survive and get better! The meds they gave him made him so sick and he passed away last night! The people here dont care and just want your money!! That cat I had raised since a kitten! And they lied to me and said he would live and now hes gone!
Had my dog in to Petplex last night for annual vaccinations and check up. Was told his ears where badly infected and need a culture done. After I explained my financial situation due to my wifes health the Doctor at Petplex clean and treated my dogs ears for free. This was unexpected and the most kindest thing anyone has done for me in a long time. I have been a long time customer of theirs and will continue using them for all my pets needs. Thank you so much all the staff at Petplex.
I brought my cat in for UTI. They diagnosed and prescribed antibiotic. I was then talked into running cultures on the urine to make sure the antibiotic was the best one or if another should be prescribed. This was on Monday, and I was promised results by Friday. I called and found out the results were in on Friday, Despite explaining the cat was still struggling with the UTI, I was told the doctor was out and would call on Saturday. Well that didnt happen either. I drove into the office on Monday and spoke to the office manager. They had another doctor look at the lab result which came back negative for UTI. So they gave me (free of charge) two more prescriptions to alleviate bladder inflammation. I was told if it doesnt let up in 48 hours bring the cat back.
They got back to us in a very timely manner concerning our pet, with realistic options and plans.
Amazing staff. Very supportive and caring. Dr. Poorman is wonderful!
They seem a little uncaring when you call with a injured pet. The only reason we go there is cause it is close by. The front desk could be alittle more friendlier. I think we will make the longer trip to Lancaster to our old vet clinic. Also they are WAY OVER PRICED!
The young lady was so helpful getting our dog license renewal
The staff Id always helpful and Dr. K is one of the best. I feel comfortable having my dog seen there and treated by those who work there.
The staff is extremely nice and the prices were veey reasonable. Definitely worth the drive.
Found a lost dog with a petplex tag. The staff were super nice and helped us get in contact with the owner.
They take great care of my dogs.Friendly, helpful staff.Fantastic groomer.
These people are horrible. Please, if you care about your pets do not bring them here. My two dogs got into a horrible fight and my boxer pit bull mix had a horrible gash on the side of her chest. We took her to petplex because weve heard good things about the hospital. The gash was about 6 inches long and they gave her 3 stitches and half a pill of ibuprofen. Needless to say, the stitches popped out within the next day and we took her back to see what could be done. They refused to help us. The people were snobby and mean because we dont have all the money in the world. After refusing to restitch my dog, they charged us 50 dollars to wrap her with gauze. All of this cost about 800 dollars and it didnt even work. People called the police on my family and I saying that we are neglecting our dog, in reality it was the petplex services. Please do not take your beloved animals here.
Such care is greatly appreciated. Dr. Poorman and staff met us on Sunday morning for emergency call on my most beloved possession...my 12 year old Ozzy. So thankful for the great care.
Genuinely wish I could rate lower than one star for the situation Petplex put both me and my precious shi zhu in. My pup went in for a routine surgery for shi zhus, where they go under sedation and remove their teeth which have rotted. The nurse assured me that it would only be the cost of sedation per pound of my pup (who is a mere 5 pounds) and a small price for each tooth that is extracted. Flash forward to me picking her pup, who was lethargic and unlike her normal self, which was to be expected considering she was under sedation. However she never ended up coming out of this lethargic state and instead had bouts of shaking and crying, made only worse after I gave her the antibiotics and pain killers that Petplex SUBSCRIBED TO HER. One morning before I was leaving for work, she was bleeding heavily from her mouth and when I called the vet he insisted I didn’t need to worry and it would clot eventually. Three days later and she was still bleeding heavily which kept her from eating and drinking, and also made her cry even more. Next, my bill came in the mail and while the nurse had assured me that the price would be relatively low for such a “standard” procedure, the bill I received was $855. No one at the practice could tell me why it was so expensive, just that it needed paid or she could never be a patient again (not that I would ever take her back to that hellscape). I brought her to a local vet who was appalled by the extractions done by Petplex, and claimed that the surgery was essentially botched, which explains the pain and her incessant crying and bleeding. I will NEVER trust Petplex with any animal that I love ever again and I hope that you don’t either. Luckily, the local vet helped my larger than life shi zhu and she is back to health, and happy, thanks in no part to Petplex.
I love this animal hospital. My dog was shot and they gave him wonderful treatment.
If I could give this place 0 stars I would. I took my cat here when she stopped eating, lost weight, and started acting very lethargic. At first they tested her for feline leukemia (which is a given, not what Im upset about) which came back negative. Then they convinced me to put her through three more tests, which all came back negative as well. At lost for what was wrong, I took her to another vet for a second opinion. After PetPlex sent my cats records to my new vet, my new vets jaw LITERALLY dropped, as she was in disbelief at the tests PetPlex put my cat through. She said she never would have used those tests, and there were many she would have rather done. After one test at the new vet, we found out what was wrong and was treated back to health after one week. PetPlex are MONEY HUNGRY THIEVES! Who do not care about your loved ones and only want your money.
Such caring people, they got our cat in within an hour and a half and took such good care of us!
Doctor Poorman is the best. He genuinelycares for your pet.
Love them they treat our fur baby like hes theirs
Very nice vet & employees. Although i didnt get to save my puppy after spending near 500$ bc i couldnt make him to Columbus.
Very good with my dog Cooper. He had to have back surgery and was in bad shape and they called us before and after surgery and we could call at anytime and go visit and get updates.
Thank you so much for the professional care you gave to our dog, Bandit. We had to bring him in because he just wasnt himself. He had been eating clothes, throwing up and having accidents in the house. This was NOT normal for him. Our regular vet told us to give you a call because surgery might be needed. You got Bandit in right away! The vet explained every thing that they were going to do and were very sympathetic towards us. The tests were done right away and before I knew it, we were on our way home knowing Bandit was going to be ok - no surgery needed! WHEW!Thank you so much for your help!!!
