Datamation services is one of the very old computer service centres in Guwahati, who have done pretty well for themselves over the past years. Other than this they have two more sale outlets on the opposite side of the road. Their services are good, but looking at the service rate chart pasted over at their reception, I somehow feel that they at times overcharge for certain services. I have gone their many a times over the last decade; once I went to replace my hp laptop keyboard, CMOS Battery, normal battery and adapter (all compatible ones and not original) for which I was quoted the price of 5800 + fitting charges (about 1k), which honestly I found a bit expensive. I although didnt do it there and got it done later over a shop in Beltola for about 4k (for the same compatible parts) and no extra fitting charges. Moreover, Datamation is more into replacing the entire part (m not talking about my keyboard here) even if their is a possibility to repair it, in case someone spends a little time on it. You might find cheaper alternatives for similar services in Guwahati, but yes, then it might take time. But yes for some critical problems better consult here cos even if they charge more, they seem to have some pretty good engineers in their staff wholl address your problem sincerely.

Great Store, you can have any computer related products and accessories at cheapest price. You can have wholesale or retail price for the products. Recent Game On section has variety of Graphics card and gaming accessories showcased there. Bought a GTX 1660 from there. Great experience.

No doubt they have the best stock of electronics, even in servicing they have very skilled professionals but they really need to work on their attitude towards customers. I went to buy a laser printer today, but the person there was least interested, apparently he didn’t have the time to explain the features and asked me to google it rather. Growing up, Datamation used to be our go to place, from smallest of electronics to some of the expensive ones, everything came from Datamation, but over the years maybe because of the growing customer base, they have started to ignore the importance of customers only. If you are a person, who pays attention to customer experience, Datamation is not the place for you. If you already have full knowledge about the product and you just want to pay and pick it up then sure, it’s the best place for that.

The service centre is located at the 2nd floor and one must be aware because there is no temperature checking and even masks arent required to visit the store.

The worst service I have ever got. I went here to repair my HP laptop as my laptop hinge was broken. After going here they to told me to pay for AB Panel + Hinge which cost me 1770 and also service charge of ruppes1770 therefore I paid a total of rupees 3540.But after coming I home I saw that they didnt change AB panel instead put an old Panel using some glue.I am really dissapointed.

M unhappy with the resolution givenLaptop repaired 2 months ago and the same problem popped up and these guys are charging extremely high price for repairing the same..This time i felt... are they even reparing the product or just charging a high price..No value for money..Sad Experience..Beware!!

Had an unpleasant experience and I must mention that there was this particular lady in the Bora Service center (2nd Floor), who did not even have the basic manners and etiquette considered essential to connect with a customer.Her behaviour reeked of indifference, I, as a customer demanded to know what exactly was wrong with my laptop but her response was not satisfactory at all with zero assistance. Simply saying, this is the problem, so and so is not enough.Further, it seemed that the laptop was repaired in a hurry, which not only reflects poor execution but also raises questions about the service that is being offered.Perhaps, the concerned team could look into these issues and also impart some basic training to their employees so that they could work on their behaviour to be customer friendly.

The experience was good. The behaviour of salesmen was good.Suggestions: need to extend the billing counter.

You can get in one step everything related to IT field ....Old staffs are so nice and professional but new salespersons are really not professional..they need to learn much more..

My AC is still not installed which was bought from Datamation on 28th may. The LG person doesnt pick up the phone. He didnt keep his words. Somehow I could talked to the service centre guy who assured to come at 7am today. Now he has diverted his call. One was installed and another one is still not. Worst experience.

I went to your centre at around 10.40 am today to repair my two notepads . But I had to wait for about 40 min to make listen to my complaints to the receptionist . She went inside with the previous complaint and was not coming back to the reception for long time . I requested another male person in reception to listen to me , but he declined . Then I requested another male person who listened to me and had callled the girl to the reception . The girl came out after the boys repeated request and attended me . I told about my problem . I expected that the two notepads will be received formally and I shall take them later . The girl took them inside , and again took long time to come back. Coming back she informed me that one notepad issue will be settled down then only , and she formally received my next notepad for full check . I never requested for immediate settlement of the problem .She reiterated me to wait which was not my aim . If I can come to collect my one notepad , why should I wait for the next unnecessarily ? I was already late for my hospital . On their request , I waited . Again it was taking long time. She did not register too for it .When I expressed my displeasure , an male employee was kind enough to interfere . But one lady employee and male employee came out from inside and started arguing with me . She questioned me ..do I treat and recover a patient in one hour ?etc etc ....I was stranged that this lady employee was noway in the scene along with the other male one who too verbally argumentative . I think that the whole experience of mine(customer ) is not good for your company and I request you all concerned kindly to enquire on it and take stringent action against all who led to customers dissatisfaction and irritation.Some smart and sensitive people should be placed in reception . I again reiterate that the last two employees were not encountered by me for my issues . But they came out and showed their rude behaviour.My concern was till the reception only. Finally , they charged me 300 , I gave immmediately , Again they were taking long time to return me rs 100 as I paid rs 400. I kept waiting for my money but there was no prompt response to return the money . This was the point , I got totally frustrated and expressed my displeasure , not before that . The bill was made down , (probally they had no intention to make the bill for the so called immediate service delivery which I did not ask ever ). When I expressed my anger , one kind employee ran down and made the bill. I doubt that a nexus might go on in the centre of not making bills as they received my money there only( second floor) , not on the first floor .

I had given my ipad mini for repairing its display but in return they have ruined my home button. Its touch id is not working and most importantly even siri is non functional. Most pathetic is that thay have no idea how to fix it. They have returned the ipad with a duplicate display and whole new problems. Highly disappointed.

I had a very bad experience. I spent a lump sum ( that they usually charge) , but instead of my problem got resolved, my device got more problems. And thwy are so reluctant to listen to your concerns. You may visit some small shops for repairing your device. They will listen to your concern and problems more carefully.

It’s an amazing one stop solution for all latest electronic gadgets as well as IT solutions with a very very competitive price (even better than online prices in most of the products). I have been shopping here since last 15 years. Staffs are also very helpful and very well behaved.

Very reliable store for sales and service..

I went to repair my laptop screen after reaching their they told me that i have to buy a new Led screen from their store . I paid 6.5k with no discount and then I found out that the new screen is also faulty then i got another new one hoping for the right product but again it was faulty, they returned my money later stating that all the led screen in the stock are faulty . The cashier of instore is totally disgrace. All they want is to suck money out of customers pocket however possible. The trust factor for Datamation is gone for me and I will never visit again.

First of all they dont pick up the call, whenever I want to know about the updates of my CPU. After 3 weeks I went there to pickup my CPU but instead of fixing it they broke it, from the front place there were piece missing and a large portion was broken. They had probably dropped my CPU. If you guys cant fix it, at least dont break it. Even though people say its good but my experience is totally different.

Got a defective piece...I have brought Gigabyte 450W power supply for 2800 and its too costly...Online its for 2600.And they asked for 3400 first after that I had to bargain to reduce the price and for cooler Master they asked 3500 rupees...So I thought they will not decrease the price of cooler master so I told them to give gigabyte but.......after hearing 3400 I was shocked...But I bargained here since I know about the Gigabyte price and I heard that its around 2500 everywhere, and they reduced the price to 2800 and it was also not the best price it was totally overpriced,but honestly I wanted cooler master one...I now know they could reduce the price of cooler master but that time I didnt know what was the real price of cooler master,so I had to bring the Gigabyte one...They are playing with customers and asks for mobile for good rating...They open the rating page and asks to rate in front of them so people give them good rating...Thats why their rating is good since they give rating themselves,indirectly...They want the rating in front of them so that everyone gives them 4-5 stars...Even their website Datamation online gives the power supply for Rs:-2485...I dont exactly remember the price but verify by visiting their website once...I still dont understand when we go there and visit their shop with our own petrol and we get so costly price but when they deliver from their website they provide so cheap prices...I Dont understand anythingAnd btw today I visited MD Computers Pan Bazar..They also told that if you had taken from us we would have given you for Rs 2465 even if we go visit and buy...This is the worst shop to buy anything when you physically visit their store..If you want to buy anything from this shop than visit their website you might get good discounts...

Very lazy service. When I submitted my laptop then they want only one or two days, but till one month they cant delivered me my laptop. Customer care also not responding, call not attend. Staff behavior worst. Datamation down my valuable time.

I just cant trust their service centre anymore. My laptop was dead and after giving them for checking they told ne motherboard issue..that too after 2months. I bought my lptp back ..what i see was really shocking..they replaced my each and every outerpart of my laptp that too with broken parts..not sure abt the inner part.My panel and everything was diffrnt. I didnt notice tht in shop while receiving as it was dead. But...later i got noticed . Just cant trust them anymore !! Its not abt lptp is dead ..its abt trust that i gave them to check..but they just cant be trusted anymore !!!! N i would like to suggest people plz not to go thre for any kind of repairing. No idea how they got such ratings!!

Very disappointing customer service. I gave a laptop for repair on 24th February 2021. I was told that it would hardly take 15 -20 days max. But its almost 2 months now that they have not repaired it. Every time I call, they are just full of excuses, about elections. The elections took place about 40 days after I submitted my laptop for repair. My works are pending due to such unethical practices. They dont value time. Completely disgusted with such attitude. I wont recommend anyone to go there for any repair work. Not very fond of people that doesnt value their customers time.Such a shame.

Sitting here in the service center waiting on my laptop that was promised to be fixed within a WEEK on 26th of JULY.

Kept my laptop for repairing for a month, still dint get the work done. They told me that they would call me up when the work is done. Very poor service, wasted lots of my time. Funny thing was that they promised me to get the work done in a week.

A worst experience ever from Datamission . The sealer told me to give tempered glass at low price(around 400/-) from another store as there was no tempered glass on that datamission , but after buying the tab and giving the money the sealer took us to a store where he want to took 1000/- rs from one temperd glass and i got realised that the sealer make me fool just to seal the tab.So dont buy anything from the Datamission near pipe genas at Bora service

Worst experience ! never ever go for datamation services for ur laptop service.. they are looting common people .. 6 months ago i had a problem with my hp laptop the so called ENGINEERS told me that it was a motherboard problem and they couldnt fix it, and it was unrepairable.. So i was left convinced that my laptop is broke.Today i decided to reopen my back case of my laptop and heres what i found my 1 TB HDD was missing i was left shocked.. these people are so sick and unprofessional .. If you do plan to visit this shop take a note of your RAM, HHD.. Very unprofessional rather go for third party shop they would provide your with better service.. THIS IS THE REALITY of GUWAHATI DATAMATION.

Pathetic behaviour of the front desk staff i soon as i entered it was not many people like 3-4 when my turn came i asked about my laptop which i had given to them for service 2months ago and i also showed the job id after that the lady asked me to wait 5 mins so that she can bring i asked her is it fine ? she didnt said anything after a while i kept asking about my laptop she kept on asking me to sit and wait ....i was hoping my laptop was fixed may be they are taking time so that they can fix some minor issues literally i waited 2and half hours just to hear that your laptop is dead it cannot be fixed mother board is damaged you have to replace your mother board they cannot fix it.......the lady who was on the front desk when i asked about my laptop she should have told me in the first place and give back my broken laptop why kept me waiting for 2and half hours just to hear that it cannot be fixed.

Little long but I HAD to write this about their BEHAVIOUR.I had bought a laptop from them few years earlier. The sales service was ok. But today I went to get a laptop fixed due to battery not charging. The staff at the service department on the 2nd floor are completely inept and distastful in customer service.I do not want to use a certain four letter word ending with M whilst there being the littlest space for doubt but I was told several variations of what was going to be the solution. From needing new charging port to your computer is completely dead. All without any examination and the computer being dead narrative after he tried the power switch and computer didnt turn on. We literally told them it wont and hence us being there.We asked them to explain why they thought we had to buy a new charging port and they started looking at each others faces like 5th graders who have been asked homework they didnt do. For sure we would have been made to buy a charging port if we didnt ask for clarification. Later the treatment until entering the details for leaving the computer was indifferent and impolite at best. It was whilst waiting for a sticker to be pasted on the computer amidst a loudly speaking managerial lady to a staff member we decided to leave and that it was enough and told them we were leaving and took the laptop infront of them and left.Oh and if anyone is wondering what the solution was, we needed a new battery as this wasnt working and was also blocking the electricity from reaching the device and hence laptop was not turning on as it was out of juice and no way to get it. We got it fixed from another service center under 15 mins without opening anything.

Youre hoping them to give you a free pie the next time you go there if you pretend to be happy this time.And theres another treat youll find- the software service people which Datamation likes to call True Engineers will pretend to save you from their highly corporate bosses and save you a dime or two- Ah! thats a trap , a uniquely horrible one if want to know beforehand what that treatment really is.So , good luck on your next getting scammed experince. :-/

Based on my experience I would say..the person working out there seemed to care less about the customers it is way too crowded and I guess that is the reason for that..

Honestly, not a very prior experience here. They dont fit the standards of offline electronics shopping exeprience.I went here to buy a laptop, however I was told by the staff that I wont be able to view, feel, check their laptops. The only way you can see them is without turning the screen on. So basically you cant feel1. The aspect screen ratio and how it actually works in reality2. Cannot understand the keyboard compatibility3. Cant check for the laptops sound built in realityAnd a couple of other feature. Overall not the place to buy premium electronics, as you dont get the feel for what you will be paying for.

Dont buy any product from Datamation...they cheat customer making fools by giving wrong informations especially there salesman... dont trust on them before you bye anything you have refer Google about the products informations are correct or not...also they sales used and open products...when you put any complain against that they threatened you... its happened with me when I complain against a wrong product which is might be used they threatened me saying joh karna hai kar loh product wapas nahi hoga...you are free to go anywhere...go Consumer court, police etc..they behaved very rudely with me and they hardly bother feelings that you have spent a lot of money on a wrong product....Dont bye any products from Datamation...to avoid situation like me.🙏

They help you fix your problem but also causes other problems so that you can unload your wallet for them to fix the issue they caused. My first time, I just asked to change my OS and they told me my keyboard wasnt working properly and needs to be replaced with a new one. I was such a pushover and said yes. Some days later when I moved to another city, the keyboard wasnt working anymore. The second experience was when I went to fix my keyboard and was told again to replace my speaker which was working perfectly fine until I walk into their office, just like my original keyboard. Never walking in there again.

Product section has almost all products available that any gadget would require. Rating is for their service section which charges hefty fees, and theres no gurantee how long the fixing of the problem would last. Maybe all authorised centres are similar, but have seen this with datamation many times before. Better repair it in outside stores at less cost

My laptops screen was broken, I went to the service center, they said they got the product and it will take a weeks time.they had taken 2k as an advance, and in next week they got the product.My laptop was having a touch screen display, they firstly then said, it is not touch screen, Ive been using it from last 2 years, and then they said it is not touch.the non touch display generally costs 5k, they had taken the money of touch displays and have charged 11k from me, including 2k advance that Ive paid saying it is touch display.Seriously saying, most *pathetic* service that Ive ever got, taking from all the services that Ive ever taken for my mobile phones and laptops in my entire life.They charge high, and secondly for me they didnt have gone with their words.... I got now the non touch version in my laptop and service that I got is not correct.Pathetic and really not Satisfied.

Why 3 stars? Couldve been 5 stars you say? No.. they dont fill the sanitizer bottle, its empty. Theres no social distancing among customers. They should ask the customers to maintain that. Sometimes they ignore their customers and focus on other stuffs.Edit: theres no parking. Youll reach back to your home trying to find parking space. 😆 The other datamation showrooms are good and polite. I could have given the rating in negative if there were any options. A complete waste of time and money. They kept my printer for 3 months saying that they will get the parts soon. However, they returned printer without repairing. The same thing happened with my laptop earlier.
