The temple is unique in that you cannot take prasad inside nor there is a shoe stand so keep your shoes at home or in the vehicle or at the mercy of beggars outside. There are several temporary temples inside along the walkway that has donation boxes and the area is not so clean♿ Accessibility Features:Yes=Ramp access.Yes=A wheelchair-accessible Entrance.Yes=A wheelchair-accessible Restroom/Toilet.Yes=A wheelchair-accessible Seating.Yes=A wheelchair-accessible Parking.

Hí . The Shri Sheetla mata tample in gurugram Haryana,is a very peaceful place. And at the same time it is a historical temple. Here you can feel peace or relex . Here you can come by train 🚂, car 🚗, or 🚌 bus etc. This temple was built by the blessings of Guru Dronacharya. Really this is a good place for anyone who want to visit in temple in gurugram, A fair is held every year on this and many people celebrate it.

Its an old temple which got renovated with time. Its devoted for Sheetla mata, where people from different corners visit. It sees high amount of croud during Navratra season. The prasad shops outside are mostly looting with High prices for simple nariyal, chunni, and some puffed rice packets. That too you wont get back in prasad after offering it at the deities chamber entrance these days(might be due to corona protocols). So, would suggest bringing your own prasad before hand. Rest, its a popular hindu temple for sheetla mata devi who is also known for fulfilling peoples wishes and keeping climate related illnesses in children at bay.

1. Taking prashad inside is not allowed. Offer it at the entrance and take back while returning.2. Slippers or shoes are to be taken off outside the main gate. (You better keep them in your vehicle).3. Parking of vehicle is free.4. Though capturing of photos isnt allowed yet devotees defy the order.

The Sheetla Mata temple is dedicated to the wife of Guru Dronacharya, Kripi/Kirpai, also called Lalitha. Kirpai, also called Lalita and later Mata Sheetla, used to live in Keshopur village located in the nearby Union Territory of Delhi. Dronacharya her husband used to visit her daily at Keshopur from his Gurugram ashram. She devoted herself to look after the sick children, specially those suffering from the smallpox. People called her Mata (Mother) out of affection and respect. After her death a temple was built in her honour by the villagers and she began to be remembered as Mata Sitla or Mata Masani, i.e. the goddess of smallpox. It is said that more than three centuries ago, Masani Mother appeared in a dream to Chaudhri Singh Ram alias Singha, a fief-holder of village Gurgaon. She expressed her desire to leave Keshopur and come to Gurgaon. She made him build a place for her. Towards the south of Gurugram village lies Gurugram Bhim Kund near the temple of Dronacharya. Sheetla mata temple lies to the north of Gurugram village. The legend goes that even after Singha had brought and installed the goddess Masani, after her own hearts desire, at village Gurgaon, the residents of Keshopur continued to dispute the claims of Gurgaon folks. This controversy was put at rest during the time of Begum Samru, the Governor of Jharsa under the Mughals. Her child who had contracted smallpox was cured after being consecrated in the prescribed manner before the goddess Masani at Gurgaon. It was then finally established that the goddess had begun to live at village Gurgaon. The current temple was built in the 18th century by the Hindu Jat king Jawahar Singh of Bharatpur, in memory of his victory over the Mughals, for which he had invoked the blessings of Sheetla Mata.

Nice Place, but the only problem is baggers outside of Temple.Temple dont have arrangement of shoes racks for People so that it will be easier to put shoes in the racks. If you visit there, you have to put your shoes in your car or at any shop where you bought some puja stuff so keep in mind.If you are not going in peak time thats fine you can leave there shoes outside the main temple. That will be very risky so my advice is use cheap shoes or sandals to go there which you are ready to lose.Cheers

If you want to offer prasad to the god, then also you have to put Rs.100/- as chadhawa, if want tilak on your forehead, then also they want Rs.100/-.For every single thing you have to pay money, if you will not pay, priest will say jao jao aage jao.I cant believe, how can they do this in a temple....Worst experience here....
