I avoid going to cafés, because of similar food and mostly below average experiences. When I got to know about Café Amaretto, I was skeptical but then I was told that it’s not new and has been operational for couple of years. Hence I thought to check-in whenever I would be in Gurgaon next. It’s a cute small café tucked at south point mall. White color and pretty sitting, I loved its first look.Food was good whatever we had tried. Quinoa apricot and pomegranate salad was refreshing and well presentedPresto chicken bruschetta was surprisingly delicious - Small chunks of chicken in pesto sauce without bread. Grilled fish was nice and citrusy. Grilled chicken with mushroom was soft and juicy. The prawn was disappointing; had foul smell, which we sent back and shared the feedback with the chef too.IF you are in South point mall, my recommendation is to visit this lovely quiet café on the ground floor. You will love it.
Multicultural and genuinely global in its essence, Gurgaon celebrates all festivals with unprecedented zeal and enthusiasm. Decked up malls and flashy window displays update you about celebrations well in advance. Loud music and even more ornate decorations scream of consumerism, however, leave the little philanthropist inside you in dismay. My quest for a tranquil corner during Christmas in this over-the-top city led me to Cafe Amaretto.Located at a seemingly quiet corner of South Point Mall in Gurugram, Cafe Amaretto offers a lovely ambiance, to begin with. Coupled with soothing music and a delectable spread of Italian-European cuisine, I truly felt welcomed as a first-time guest. The simple yet elegant decor of Cafe Amaretto is further accentuated with vibrant paintings, offering the perfect backdrop for a quiet-cozy evening with your loved ones.A chance meeting with Shayal Taunk, a gallerist from Jamshedpur who has conceptualized and designed this cafe, helped me further understand the concept behind this unique outlet.Shayal runs an online gallery to trade paintings. Her desire to have a quaint little cafe where buyers could physically explore art drove her to open this cafe. For the uninitiated, all paintings displayed in the cafe are up for sale. Shayal wants to offer guests an indulging, interactive experience coupled with great food and drinks. And talking of food in particular, Cafe Amaretto endorses authentic Italian cuisine, which perfectly compliments the theme of the restaurant due to its richness and parallelism to art. Each item on the menu can be paired with a classic wine or chilled beer. I choose the exquisitely crafted mulled wine to go with my meal and thoroughly enjoyed it.The in-house chefs Hari and Chandra have done a remarkable job of tingling your taste buds with mouth-watering Italian delicacies.Shayal introduced me to the Italian phrase of ‘dolce far niente’ which literally means the sweetness of doing nothing. This could very well be the tagline for Cafe Amaretto. Shayal curates an entire experience for those seeking pleasure from simple things in life, enjoying life at a laid-back pace.Spanning across 800-square-feet (in carpet area), the cafe accommodates up to 36 people at any given point in time. The all-day cafe operates from 10 A.M. to 11 P.M., seven days a week. The in-house bakery at Cafe Amaretto is another highlight, as it boasts of sumptuous fresh bread and a rich selection of decadent desserts.Start your epicurean journey at this casual dining restaurant with the Beetroot Carpaccio, made with warm goat cheese and rocket leaves. The versatile balsamic dressing renders a delicate balance to your favorite salad. If you like seafood, go for the Pan-fried Prawns - prawns in garlic and chili herb lemon sauce, served with orange and rocket leaves. There are plenty of good food options for vegetarians as well, like the Baked Mushrooms stuffed with Feta and Red Peppers or Arancini with Mushroom and Goat Cheese. The Chermoula Chicken with Couscous Salad is one of the best-ever party appetizers IMHO. Chicken marinated with mixed herbs served with roasted garlic yogurt and pita bread. For entrées, try the Butter Lemon Chili Linguini or the Roasted Chicken with Zucchini Tempura.Relish a combination of rich chocolate, salted caramel, and tiramisu with a hint of rum - all served as a beautiful dessert platter. The cafe is lit up differently during the mornings and evenings. This is done to offer you a distinctive, memorable experience. Finally, Cafe Amaretto is sure to awaken your senses, offering you a quiet moment with yourself, far away from the maddening craziness of the world.
Have heard a lot about this place. Went for lunch with buds, thankfullly it was not that crowded as compared to other places. The lunch somehow was average, our friends told us later that they had amazing food last time. That’s why will try this place once again. We had ordered herbs pizza, kiwi mocktails ( too sour), Oreo shake( best of all) raspberry sunrise( delicious) spaghetti Alio olio and chicken breast in mushroom sauce( best main course)I’ll say one can go there for the following: Zomato gold, they take bookings( good for weekend) place is nice and quite.Hopefully I get better food next time so I can write a better review!
A decent place. Went there for lunch. Its a small yet cozy place. The interiors are very well done.Loved the menu. Feel like trying all of it. Loved the Roast Chicken, the jus was to die for.. one of the best mashed potatoes I have had since I have returned back to India. Very creamy and just the right consustency. The chicken breast stuffed with mascarpone and spinach with butter sage sauce was also nice. The chiken bruschetta with barbeque sauce was just average. Also tried the spaghetti carbonara, the bacon bits were super crispy. Dont forget to ask them to make it creamier. The sangria was disappointing, though the fruits were fresh, there was no sign of wine.. felt like soda and juice.Overall , had a very good time. It definitely is a kid friendly place.
Cafe Amaretto contains a classy dominance with intriguing artsy paintings installed on the walls. The interior is pure and illuminates a very calm feeling. Id have preferred a more serene location in an open area but, sadly, its placed in a mall. The aura is very romantic plus its a site for people who love Italian cuisine.Moving on to the review, it was a humble invite by Shayal Taunk, the owner. The invitation was extended for as long as we both were busy with our personal engagements. Finally, I asked Shayal to get me a table on a weekday and she agreed. The place was empty as I reached, and was entertained by the manager. I didnt opt for anything, rather than gave them the liberty to choose. The meal started with smooth and rich Amarettos Affogato - American Coffee with Ice cream which complimented with Baked Mushrooms stuffed with Feta and Red Peppers, and Assorted Multigrain Bruschetta, both were a perfect combination of exemplary ingredients and seasonings. Mango and Rose Shake, subtly sugared followed by Amarettos Artichoke Romana, a pizza that will haunt you for months and there is nothing matched to this one. Gnocchi filled with Mozzarella & Basil tossed in a Tomato Confit Broth is a happy-making meal, it surely cant be consumed by an individual. Gnocchi, here, is loaded with an excellent flavor of Tomato Confit Broth and richness of Mozzarella. Ricotta Cheese Cake with Strawberry Sauce is an outstanding choice to close your dinner.Cafe Amaretto, for me, is a crafty pick if you really want to impress someone. The delicacies do wonders to your palate. The pricing is bit steep, but its less expensive in contrast to the others. Id surely recommend Cafe Amaretto to all my loved ones and would want the place to grow organically in this competitive industry. Thank you for inviting me!!!
Cafe Amaretto is a very unique place in terms of its size, menu and ambience. A nice place to have any meal of the day with limited but tasteful items in the menu. In the bustle of Gurgaon, if one looks for a peaceful snack with a dear one, Cafe Amaretto is the venue to be in. With delightful soul and blues playing in the background, and some very delicious wood roasted chicken, I spent a wonderful evening there and would very much like to visit again some time soon.
Ive been to this Cafe Amaretto about 6 to 8 times and have never been disappointed. Im one of those looking out for new places to eat but this is one place I end up going to almost every couple of months. The grills section of the menu is my favourite - from grilled sole in citrus sauce to grilled chicken stuffed with mascarpone cheese, its all cooked to perfection. Spices are optimally used so as to not interfere too much with the taste of the main ingredient. My colleagues loved the pasta options too. For starters, try the herb chicken with garlic based yoghurt and cous cous or the mushrooms.Do end with a dessert or a coffee - both pretty good.
While searching for a Korean restaurant, I accidentally went to Amaretto. It was a pleasant surprise indeed.Ambiance is cozy and comforting.I tried a pizza, veg mezze platter and pasta and they were delicious. They do have some promotion going on for house made sangria and wine (2+1)Cost for two would be around Rs 1200 to 1500 (including a drink)Do visit for a delightful summer meal.
Beautiful and quaint cafe with a very subtle modern boho style ❤️ great coffee and absolutely delicious Biscotti that came with it
You have to wait forever for service and when you do , they dont even honor the voucher they provide you
Had a great time here for lunch. Enjoyed a mozzarella focaccia and the tomato ravioli with a very buttery sauce. The dessert platter was a nice selection of three desserts from which all three of us had a different favourite. Tiramisu, salted caramel and the date pudding. The chef suggested date was surprisingly light with just the right sauce.
Amazing place, Italian food and desserts I like it very much.
The desserts that we tried were both bad. The main course was good. Nice vibe. Can get crowded as the place is small. But it is kinda cozy. Will recommend this place for Italian cuisine.
The food is really nice. Italian is one of my favorite cuisines and this place does justice. The portions are very good, and every dish that we ordered was really great in taste. The sitting place is good and the staff is very welcoming. Thanks
Amidst such a huge mall there is gem Called Amaretto...A beautiful little cafe with such a pretty decor. With such an elaborate menu we had a very nice experience here.We ordered antipasti and mezze platter for starters which were so good. There was smokey goodness in antipasti and creamy dips in the mezze platter were as well. The cheese platter was extravagantFor mains we had Gnocchi in a very different curry... I really recommend trying this one out as its super amazing. And Rissoto which was creamy and good but needed a little dash of balsamic which we added and it turned out to be delicious. They had a pretty good collection of wines which were complementing the food very wellThe desserts were heavenly with salted caramel cake and panna cotta being eggless.Staff was very considerate and prompt.
I enjoyed the ambience and the vibe of the place .its a cute little cafe with good servers and decent menu range. The food was good but not really a top in the category of Italian. The servers were friendly and helpful and readily available.
Good ambience, not too loud so you can enjoy a conversation and good food. Must Must try the ravioli pasta, we requested it in white sauce. Creamy, juicy and savoury, it had everything. The basil butter pesto veg pizza was quite good too. We also had a mushroom melt sandwich which was a little crisp but still quite juicy and delicious.
Good food! Enjoy the bruschetta and pizza options here..u will definitely like the uniqueness. (Would choose pizza over pasta in this place!! ) Lovely calm ambience is an added bonus!
Nice little cafe for good Italian food. If you want to enjoy a lovely romantic evening with a loved one. This is the place.
Food has decent portion size. The waiters are polite. The taste of food has remained the same for quite sometime. The choice of food in the menu is limited.
Simple but elegant interior. Nice background music. Food was excellent. Had pesto and pine-tree pizza and ravioli both the dishes were mouth watering. Falafal platter was good.
The food is freshly cooked and quite delectable. The place however is a little small and the seating not very comfortable. Nice, dim lit place for couples, friends and decent for families too.
Nice tomato basil soupBit expensive and quantity is less but good quality
Nice place! We had a red pasta and mushroom ravioli alongwith the dessert platter and fresh juices. Food and service is good so is the ambience.
Good Italian food... food was delicious, ambience is good, location is good. Price I found little more.
Love it. Cosy. Cute. Comfortable. Quiet. Excellent service. Great coffee. Good food. Try the salads and bruschetta.
Nice ambience. But the coffee needs to be cheaper. And 400 rupees for bruschetta is too expensive
Absolutely fabulous. We ordered chicken pizza, lasagna (veg+nv) and spaghetti carbonara... All of the stuff was simply awesome.Seating is a bit of a problem though, if in a large group(6+).
Cozy Italian cafe. Decent food. Antipasti can be tried. However, my personal experience was a little unpleasant as I had an unwanted element in my food which was replaced with pasta. Good for a quick lunch date with friends and colleagues.
Loved the deserts, though is quite a bit on the money side. Expensive one. Chocolate cake with vanilla was great.

Cafe Amaretto is a nice cozy Italian cafe which doubles up as a small art gallery also. The ambiance is fine. The staff is very courteous and polite. The service is good.I have tried their baked lasagne and ravioli in pink sauce and I had a choice of getting more parmesan cheese sprinkled over. The food was absolutely wonderful, from preparation to presentation, very pleasing. Will surely visit them again!
Just love this place... Delicious food, great staff...
Nice place to go in case you are looking for a place to have some breakfast. Staff is fine and food is no doubt good. Recommended visit.
Food, ambiance and courteous service. Everything about this place is just so good.
The ambience is really good. Also, the food that they serve is fresh. Must visit.
This glass-fronted cafe is the best place to enjoy delectable Italian delicacies in Gurgaon. The cosy interiors of the cafe with faux-faded cushioned furnishes and pastel hued walls suspended with cardboard sketches and fusion paintings exude the aura similar to an open-air Italian cafe. The artistically designed menu of the cafe is full of juicy chicken and sea food dishes that are served with crisp and soft breads. The dessert menu is equally delectable including an extensive ‘cakes on order’ section. What to have: Salted Caramel Cake, Parma HamPerfect for: Sweet Cravings
Good quaint place with good food for an intimate dinner
Great Italian food great crowd great ambience
I visit regularly there and enjoy my best me time. Cordial and hospitable staff, great coffee and teas, mouth watering food and soothing ambience to spend time with friends and food, good luck guys
Small Italian Cafe. Good food. But expensive with respect to qty. One dish serves only 1 person.
My favourite restaurant serving beautiful Italian food. Excellent menu with quick attentive service. If you want to unwind and relax this is the place to be.
Food not good and service is slow and place is really fancy dead
Well the food was nice but not outstanding. Plus I feel there was nothing special.
Had the soup of the day which was good, then had bruschetta and finally some.veg pasta in white sauce.Lastly had the caramel cake.Everything was really good.Only thing they can improve is to increase seating area and fasten the service.Rest everything was perfect
Americano and affogato are highly recommended
Very authentic Italian stuff, like it more than any other Italian Cafe in town, must try the watermelon mojito and the chicken in butter sauce, its just finger licking
Cafe Amaretto is really one of my favourite outlet. I recently visited this place and had an amazing time there. I checked few dishes from there menu they were :1. Peene red sauce pasta2. Cheese garlic bread3. Cheese toastAnd! I found them really amazing, perfect falvours and garlic bread was so chessy and toast too.
The place serves a cafe food. Most of the dishes were good but the dessert that we ordered was excellent. The wait staff was very pleasant and service was quick.
By far ... the best restaurant in South Point Mall. We go every weekend. Amazing Italian food.
I had this ameretto affogato , loved the combination of amazing espresso and vanilla ice cream.peaceful ambience , nice place to spend time but quite less choices to try.
Nice place to enjoy some good Italian food.
Lovely vibe , art space to have your authentic Italian fix
Well if good time good food good ambience you are looking for this is the place to be at ! Decor very tastefully done
Not the best Italian Ive had and not average as well. A little expensive for the offering (when you serve a cappuccino for 220/- but a fresh lime for 250/-).
Good coffee, great ambience and wonderful service
Delicious food. Tastiest Eggs Benedict.Excellent and very courteous service.
Cafe Amaretto is a very classy authentic Italian cafe located in South point mall.Must try beetroot avocado salad and Amaretto dessert platter
Its the perfectly little place to have your Sunday morning breakfast. The place makes you feel like its straight out of a fairy tale. Its sooo cute and adorably done up. They even have paintings hanging up on the wall for sale, some really nice stuff. So anyway, among the two of us we ordered an Amarettos King Breakfast and a Waffles with nutella, honey and rich whipped cream. The Amarettos King Breakfast consisted of 3 eggs, bread, sausage, potato wedges, and bacon. The eggs were beautiful, the potato wedges were delicious, and the bacon was fried crisp. The waffles were amazing too, they were crispy with a dazzle of cinnamon. Delicious food!We also got a complimentary little basket of freshly baked garlic bread. That was nice too!
Been a regular here, had the eggs benedict which was disappointing and not upto its normal standard
First off I love this mall. It has all the places I love to go to an relax, the Buddha Span and Sibang. For breakfast we always went hunting around Gurgaon. But sometimes all you want to do is walk peacefully somewhere nearby.Amaretto is a little hidden as it is behind the lifts on the ground floor, in the lift you need to go to LG lower ground.Amazingly simple decor, clean and uncluttered. My first time I had their Special Coffee, which has a lot of the masalas we put in chai, might not be everybodys cup of tea! So I had the waiter strain out the ginger bits of which I am not fond. While I waited e brought me a basket of bread. Boy! it was soft and and fresh and so damn delicious.I had ordered the Eggs Benedict which was equally tasty, well laid out in the plate. But what made this one a little different was the side serving of grated potato shaving, salty and crisp.Totally enriched by the experience I decided to take the wife and child for breakfast. This time we tried the cappuccino, orange delight, a fizzy orange drink, the Kings breakfast and Eggs Florentine. Now I have to say that everything we had was just perfectly made and tasted like someone took the trouble to make it fresh.I noticed in the kitchen area an oven, to discover that it was a real wood fire over. I have uploaded a pics of place and would recommend it to all.But I do hope the owners are able to maintain this level of service and quality for years to come. Enjoy.
