Its a museum, evolved out of personal collection of the director of the place. It tells the story of evolution of the camera from 1830s to modern days. There are three floors, the ground one has the main museum with collection of the cameras and first and second are exhibitions. There is a library and a print room. In library you can learn basics of photography and more. The reception is great, they took a photo of ours and printed it for us! The ticket price is ₹200/- per head as of now. There is cafe as well inside the place which you can visit separately but its a bit costly.
One of the most interesting museums that i have visited which is also the only one of its kind....very interesting exhibits and detailed descriptions make for very interesting readings.Absolutely delightful volunteer staff is always at hand to assist and guide along the visit . And to add to the experience a lovely restaurant - The Fig offers a great menu..
It is AWESOME! The staff is extremely respectful and gentle. The interior is hyper professional! Dont go on its location, the museum is fantastic. Every little information regarding cameras can be found here! Besides, you can click end number of photographs and save them as ur memories of this awesome place. They also organise workshops teaching mobile photography. This place taught me that every piece in a camera has its own purpose. This museum is a must visit for any person!!
This place, Id say a hidden gem (apologies for revealing that :p). Its a must visit place for photographers/photography enthusiasts/historians and anyone who likes visiting Museums in general. The ticket costs Rs 200 pp, which is worth it because of the state of art maintenance and detailed presentation of myriad photography equipments and ancient gears. This place has got cameras and related equipments from about 100 countries and is the biggest antique camera store in India. The Gurugram Govt. And India Photo Archive Foundation have done a fabulous job in creation of this Museo Camera Museum.Enough about history haha. Theres plenty of parking space and it is situated in a posh locality which google maps quite accurately informs about.Theres a café as well conjoined with Museum (quite costly affair in my opinion) which just ups the ante. Hope this review helps any one of you in making a well informed decision. Have a great day ahead ^_^
Four and half years in Gurgaon and never knew about this place. Recently an article about the museum caught my attention and happened to visit the place with relatives. Its so wonderful to know about the history of camera and see all kinds of cameras. Take some time out and visit the museum.
This is an incredible place that I found by manual browsing since Google Maps does not locate this when searching for Museum nearby or Museums in Gurugram or Gurgaon either. There is ample parking for 2-wheeler and 4-wheeler, and the museum houses a breathtakingly-huge collection of cameras and related articles from the time they invented the rock. The sheer number of cameras on display is bewildering and the layout is superb. This is an ultra-modern 7-star museum in the heart of the town. There is also an exhibit area spread over two floors above the main museum besides a cafe. This museum will bring back memories for people of any age or era for they have collection of cameras and related stuff like flash, film-rolls and such stuff from more than 150 years.♿ Accessibility Features:Yes=Ramp access.Yes=A wheelchair-accessible Entrance.Yes=A wheelchair-accessible Restroom/Toilet.Yes=A wheelchair-accessible Seating.Yes=A wheelchair-accessible Parking. No=A wheelchair-accessible Elevator.

Owners are amazing and very friendly. This place has very friendly environment and peace if a person looking for.
Amazing place of artists created for us. Several pictures shows the hard work or efforts of camera man. Every clicks tells story and artists knows better than normal human.
Must-visit place if youre into visual arts in any way. And if youre not, the place is like a well-designed crash course in the history of photography.
Go for it if you are interested in a place with museum and exhibition for cameras and their history. All varieties of cameras and their past is explained there with much interesting fashion, which we cannot miss.

Amazing museum with great collection of antique cameras ... fantastic place to learn about history of imaging industry.
Beautiful place. The ticketed gallery costs you 200rs but the top 2 floors are free to view which include the library and an open walk by art gallery. But trust me the ticketed gallery is worth it. Totally worth it. There are so many cameras and stories in that hallway and the staff is really friendly too! I would definitely recommend this place for any and everyone interested in Cameras, museums, history and fun. There is also a cafe within the museum building, I didnt have time to go and eat there so I cant really say, but Ive heard the food is great!
One of its kind in South East Asia. Very beautiful and should be on everyones bucketlist
Great place to visit for photography enthusiasts. All the kudos goes to all the curators and the founder.
Great place for any photography enthusiast, you will see camera here from the period of 1800s and historical famous pictures and unknown pictures of Indian freedom struggle, their entry fees is 200 which is worthwhile as they also have to maintain this place..So if you only have any interest in photography then visit, else you will get bored!
Excellent place in Gurgaon if you are interested in photography or even otherwise !!
The place is spellbound. Every lenses cravers destination. Glad to visit the place while it was getting its final touch.
Great for photo lovers...You can see around the great arts.
Awestruck by the curated collection of photography equipments and cameras. Its so easy to take a photo these days that we completely forget how difficult it was a few years before - taking one without any visual feedback of what the final result will be in addition to other steps like processing the film, developing and printing the same. This place is a must visit for everyone who is in to photography.
Photography and its history is perhaps nowhere shown as well as here. To top that, a restaurant with great food. While leaving, you can even buy organically grown vegetables. Loved the place. Must visit for every one.

It was a wonderful experience and enlightening seeing a camera museum. One was not even aware of its existence but it was just amazing.
