It is nice silent place away from the chaos of metro life. Very relaxing. Very good food, chef really cared about the kids, for my child he even prepared a special pasta. Nice set of activities (except swimming#). Staff was courteous and very helpful. Rooms are spacious and with all the amenities. [-2 ** ] However, I felt that the Taj group needs to invest a lot on maintenance, as property looked neglected and the price we paid for was exorbitant for such a property.# Due to COVID19 scenario the swimming pool was not operational.

We went there just for lunch to celebrate an occassion. I will be honest, from the car parking till the restaurant, we didnt get any feel of it being a Taj property. Somehow, after lunch we decide to explore other areas of the resort and we were surprised to see lush green lawns and a sprawling property that had everything to offer for a nice vacation. The Taj element finally came in and we had a nice time spending some more time there.They just need to improve their front landscape and improve the variety in the buffet.Rest everything is amazing!

A place near Delhi which forgets you Delhi and takes you deep in your thoughts. This is the nearest perfect getaway from Delhi for a day or even for a brunch in the restaurant.

Location is nice but reaching Location is not.. roads are through village which are not well built. Rooms are nice. But it takes 35 mins for your order of food to come. Service is poor or slow. Otherwise lunch and dinner is tasty. Quantity of North Indian is good but Chinese quantity is less. Breakfast is average...

Staff is not good. Service take much time than usual. Even they stole money from my wallet, when they came for room service and I was not around. And nothing happened when I complained about it.

Room was spacious. 24*7 helpdesk is prompt. Dryer in my room wasnt working, on complain it was changed within minutes.Food was great and so was hospitality. Liked the lush green ambience.The only turn down is location, it is located quite far from highway and the multiple speed breakers make the journey inimical.

Truly a getaway !The greenery , all the space, the rooms, the sit-outs, the bathrooms; all were wonderful!The kids were happy on their scooters and cycles !The golf car ride became another fun-filled activity for the kids !There was bungee jumping, camel riding, rope climbing and a lot more !Just one thing which was a little unexpected was the very limited breakfast buffet menu !All in all a wonderful stay !

Had very limited choice of channels.Fridge. Available.Eye piece. Was there.Tea. Arrangements were there for tea and coffee with ample options to choose from.AC. Effective.Telephone. Facility was available.Bathroom: whoa...... It was as big as the bathroom. Loved it. Kids said that they have had the best bath there.Fixtures- quality, functionality. Too good.Cleanliness. Very clean.Amenities- hair dryer, toiletries. Basic toiletries and hair dryer was available.Room service: was a lil slower than expected.Standard. Was good.Friendliness. Decent.House keeping: good enough. But didnt utilise their services since we stayed for one night only.Restaurants. Highlight of the stay. I worked out at the gym in the evening and the morning and after both the meals, I hogged. Literally hogged. Food was delicious. Although the staff was kinda less than required. But I must compliment the chef.The gym was basic. Since Im into cardio only so it was good enough for me.I love staying with Taj. And I love the way they treat their guests.I could visit this property over and over again.Thank you Taj.

The property is vast with sprawling lawns and a average size pool ( non functional during covid) including sit out areas for all rooms with garden views. The rooms are very spacious especially the washroom which are as big as the hotel room itself but with no bathtub.What i did not like was the cleanliness of the room especially the sofa covers and bedsheets. The sofa in the room appeared quite old, worn out and definitely needs a change as the covers are all dirty with patches - something just not acceptable from a five star property. The wooden floor and furniture also have an old worn out look. The garden chairs are dirty and we had to do the cleaning ourselves. The breakfast buffet is just fine. The menu can be more exhaustive for the price paid for the standards of a 5 star resort. The food taste is just average but highly priced. Got a plate of pakoras for 675/- so you can make estimation of rest of the food menu.There was nothing like a Taj kind of ambience! It was just another resort with very dim lights in the hige garden space post evening. The gardens were quite dark dull and scary to go out at night time. The location of the resort is also not so good as it appears out of nowere in middle of a village area.The google map can be miskeading so its best to take Sohna road and go towards Damdama lake which is just a stonr throw away ftom this resort but on opppsiye direction.Given an option again definately not a preffered resort for the price paid!Just average experience. Nothing too great.

The place was perfect for me... All adventure sports and leisure was available... Gym 🏋🚴💪 swimming pool everything was there... However, the pool was closed and due to heavy rainfall had missed one day of adventure sporting... Overall it was a treat

The ambience was great. A nice place for a relaxing week-end. But all the fun activities are paid here, which are freely available at other resorts. Also, due to covid, there was a lack of staff and hospitality experience was not so great. The food was also good.

Over expensive, everything is closed. Kids zone is closed. Tennis court is in miserable condition. Table tennis area dont have a single person to guide.no light. Power cut 6 Tim in 24 hour stay .complete blackout maximum for 1 minute. No One from.parking area will guide u to reception. We were 3 family asked to arrange a cake for birthday celebration, they said we cant. Only thing which is good is restaurant .food is fine.

It was a very underwhelming experience for us. The expectations were very high as we travelled almost 3hr to get there imagining a pleasant experience but to our dismay it was quite the opposite. It is a 5 star resort and we being an epicure were expecting amazing food however it was average. The only this appealing was the mocktail that i ordered.

This place just an hour drive from Delhi is beautiful and a very nice place to stay at.We had stayed here for 3 days to just relax. We found it extremely comfortable and enjoyed every moment of our stay.It is a huge property with lots of place to walk around.This place caters to people of all ages and they have battery operated cars for the elderly.The food was very good and service great.The room was huge and cozy. Mr Nikhil Sharma of the restaurant deserves special mention for his exceptional service at the breakfast table

Its nice fun place to visit with friends and family 👪. But lake having natural rain water so if you are looking for boating then visit in Jul to Nov months after heavy rain. Also this place is good for outdoor activities. The resort is quite expensive but good food.

After more than a year of being locked in my home due to covid-19 pandemic, I booked my accommodation with Taj Gateway Resort, Damdama thinking that comfort with safety will be best assured at a 5-star property belonging to one of the most reputed and oldest chain of hotels and resorts in India. But to my utter disappointment, my experience here was worst; worse than even a property of lower standard. I never really review any of my stay at hotels but when things cross one’s limit of toleration, it becomes necessary to aware visitors so that they don’t make the same mistake as I did. Major points of disappointment are enlisted below:1) The service at the restaurant as well as in room service was extremely slow. Every time we asked for something, they would bring in wrong quantity (less always) and would take a lot of time. The first item ordered used to come in the end. Things like chilled water was served after 45 mins to 1 hour of making the request. 2) At the time of check out, there was no one to clean the car also. The car got really dirty due to rains but the hotel staff simply denied to clean the car.3) First day, due to less no. of guests, the food was served at the table which was really impressive. But the next day, due to weekend, the no. of guests increased and thus they opened the buffet. But no safety of guests was ensured. No gloves were provided for serving food at the buffet. 4) The upkeep and maintenance of rooms was not upto the mark.5) The AC of one of the rooms was not working despite multiple complaints.6) Extra mattress was laid on the floor (just to highlight that there were ants and other insects on floor) while hotels/ resorts like these normally provide folding bed with mattress. 7) There were power outages. I don’t even remember the number of times it happened. Even though the electricity used to come after 5-10 mins but it used to get completely dark.There were certain positive points as well. But the above points and many other smaller things outweigh them. Hoping that things improve after reading this review.Thanks,Shriyanshi

Rooms were cottage style, neat and hygienic. The property is huge. Lush green open areas to play quite a number of sports and do activities. Food was Ok. Few items that we ordered in dinner, specially Khade masale ka mutton was not upto the mark. Breakfast spread was good and taste was comparatively better. Overall a nice outing for the family.

If u are a delhite and looking for a staycation, taj gateway at dumduma is a descent option. To reach - Dont follow Google maps blindly unless u plan to do some offroading, it will take u to crpf camp and it had a very bad road . Best way is to come ro Sohna road highway from nh8 and then start following Google map.The staff is very cooperative. Cottages / rooms are nice. The all green resort gives u a fresh and nice feeling away from the hustle bustle of the city.They now have introduced adventure activities for kids so 2 days stay is good.

A wonderful weekend getaway near Damdama lake. Its better to reach here via Sohna.About the resort, its very calm with an array of two storied villas adjacent to each other. There are a bunch of activities that could be done inside the premises at additional costs.Overall very peaceful & serene far away from a citys hustle

Pathetic customer service. We have been trying to call from past 1 week but the service seems to be non-responsive. Everytime we called, we were affirmed of a call back but till date we havent received any call back. The tollfree number would keep the call in waiting for 7-8minutes and automatically disconnect it later.

Much acclaimed resort, which remains overbooked on most weekends. However contrary to popular review the hotel has terrible service. No one picked phone calls for three days (day & night) prior to our scheduled stay. We were thinking the place is closed or something.Even after our arrival their reception area was devoid of any staff or assistance, during the night. Welcome drink was also on self service basis We booked three rooms for two nights and paid more than 40k per room including only 2 meals.The quality and variety for both buffet meals and A la carte were below average. Nowhere near regular Taj experience.The property is big with decent rooms but service is pathetic.They claim themselves to be pet friendly but there were no provisions for the pet, and in the end they charged 3500 rs. as pet charges.On enquiry over telephone prior to booking they stated that activites like table tennis, pool, carrom and badminton are free of charge, but post visit the manager insisted that we pay for pool, which makes the experience highly unpleasant.Other activites like volleyball, paintball etc. were told to be chargeable but rate list was beyond extortion.Volleyball was available for Rs 7000 ($93)+ 18%tax for 2 hoursPaintball : Rs1400 +18% per person. The setup was very poorly maintained and had no supervision. It was difficult to stand for more than 15mins in the activity zone, due to mosquitoes.In the end, we found we were charged Rs10500 ($140) extra to what was actually due. They didnt even maintained bills for A la carte dinning and charged as per their whims. We waited close to an hour for them to find bills, but they couldnt. They removed the overcharged entries when they had no reason to give.All in all, it was no where close to a 5 star experience. Except the wonderful company of friends, there is nothing pleasant to remember.I may also point out that route leading upto Gateway resort was terrible, may be due to rains, but a car with low ground clearance is not advisable.

Visited on 14th August with family and experience was really sad. Nothing close to a Taj experience. On arriving there was no one to take the car and carry the luggage. Check-in was also not guided and looked complete chaos. Room service is slow and needed reminders. Ordered chicken biryani and pasta in lunch. Pasta was good however the biryani was not upto the mark. Would recommend to stay away.

The property is above average and food is average probably because the place has been thronged by people in desperation. But the staff who carry the true legacy of Taj are there to be your saviors and ensure that your trip becomes a memorable one. For relaxing n spending quality time with the family,this place is beautifully done with awesome greenery n scrumptious food. Their FnB manager Vikas g is a cool guy n friendly. Chef Sanjay is always ready to treat the guests with yummylicious treats .only troublesome thing is the approach to this place,last 2-3 kms is little tiresome but the moment you enter the resort ,you are like WOW

Beautiful property!! Its pet friendly and has huge area full of greenery. We stayed there for one night with our dog and she enjoyed her stay. The staff there is warm and courteous.

This one is more like a 4 star property. Wall paint is coming off on its boundary wall. Parks and gardens are not manicured. Restaurant staff is easily outnumbered by the number of guests theyre catering to, so even though the staff were polite and hardworking, overall restaurant experience was poor. Had to wait for 20 minutes for waiter to come and get out order. Coffee took close to 20 minutes to be served. Rooms were spacious and nice and well maintained. Overall it was a decent stay but not the kind youd expect from a 5 star resort and especially the brand of Taj.

Service, particularly the room service, was slow. Social distancing was not adequate, e.g. the buffet was a routine affair, with all utensils & dishes available free for all. We attended a wedding at The gateway resort damdama & were very happy with the service offered here.  Staff was very attentive & professional.  Overall, the event went off with no hiccups.We also stayed here for two days during the wedding event, the stay was good & relaxing. The hotel has a lush green campus and it feels soothing to the eyes. The rooms & bathrooms are modern & have all the amenities required during the stay. The check-in & check-out process was smooth without any hindrance.We loved our stay & enjoyed the experience of the wedding as well as the property.  Would recommend this property without no hesitation. Only the food served was not upto the mark as expected of 5 star property.

Although the lake itself is quite disappointing, the Gateway Resort is worth the stay. There are many activities including some adventurous ones. You can pool or swim as well. The best part is the hospitality itself. The rooms are large, specially the bathrooms, they are almost as big as the room themselves. You can enjoy good view from balcony enjoying whatever you like. To top it all, the food was amazing, although the room service was a bit slow.

The experience is not Taj standard at all. Everything is dirty and even basic hygiene is not maintained even in covid times which was shocking. The staff all the way to the GM do not care about service because the place is usually sold out due to lack of options in the area. BEST AVOIDED !!

I checked into your resort on 10th July 2021, first of all there was a lizard in my room, and your staff was welcoming him as if he is familiar with it, he couldnt catch it, and the problem was still there. Second I order vegetable pakora in my room at 5:30 PM, and I got it at 6.35 PM, however I confirmed with your eat in they said it will take 25 minutes to deliver to your room, who will wait for the pakora for 1.05 hours , thirdly in your restaurant I called one of your staff named as Ravinder for some information, he misbehaved with me and argued with me, he took my polite words on his arrogance. Everyone sitting there was astonished. He ruined my evening. I never expect such glitches from the resort which is associated with the name of Taj.

One of the best weekend getaway resort near Delhi. Large open rooms. With large greens, huge activity areas with a large number of activities for everybody from kids swings to even a mid sized cricket 🏏 ground. All this with the quality and assurance of Taj Group. Being a Taj lover I didnt like this property. The linens were withered off. Toilet walls had calcium stains of water and in some areas the plaster was coming off....the road taking you to the resort is just like travelling through hell.... Avoid it

The resort location is good and the property is developed well with open spaces. This provides ample room for outdoor activities and playing sports. They have badminton and tennis courts as well as a cricket pitch with an outfield. The rooms are laid out well with garden facing and courtyard facing ones.The rooms however look a bit dated and could do well with a face lift. Due to the span of the resort the room service is also a bit slow.Overall a good location for a quick getaway from gurgaon/Delhi

Nice place. Would call it semi luxury. A little lower than ITC grand bharat. Although if one is looking for a weekend getaway without the headache of driving then this is a decent bet. Moreover, there are tons of fun activities including paintball. So it can get exciting.

Gateway Resort Damdama is located in sohna which is very close to gurgaon( about 13 km from golf course extension road).The drive to Resort is very good, you will see all farms and natural greenery.Hotel rooms are good, bathroom are quite big.The only thing i dont like is1. Hotel buffet have limited option that applies to both lunch/dinner & breakfast.Also the tast and cooking are not upto the taj standard.2. Hotel service is slow, check inn time are often delayed and you are asked to wait for an hour in reception. It sucks!!3. There are not much recreational activities as people who come here are mostly searching weekend getaways .LastlyI would say for all the services provided its expensive and I would recommend either to improve their standards or reduce the price.I have given 3/5 based on my experience.

Located at a peaceful location. Lush green indoors and great rooms for stay. Went for a destination wedding and they have an enormous area for conducting various events. Staff is cordial and you can even avail services like Spa, enjoy adventure sports (closed right now due to COVID). Great place for a 2-3 days vacation.

I love the property. I enjoyed a lot on my previous stay in 2020 Jan. But feb 21. They have taken groups and not able to manage. Staff is courteous. They are super understaffed. They should keep the groups seperate and maintain their. Service level for regular guests. Spa was good. Maybe that was best part of the stay.

The Getaway Resort is a must visit if you are looking for a weekend getaway. Right from the location to the Ambience and the staff and the food. Its just wow on every aspect. The meals are great, the rooms are very clean and spacious. With the ongoing pandemic, they are taking every possible step to maintain social distancing and hygiene without compromising on the quality. A big shoot out to Naveen at front desk who made us feel welcome and was very warm and welcoming. He knows his job and is great at it. Also Sourabh (Sorry if I am misspelling the name) at the F&B (Restaurant where you serve your meals) was very courteous and the service offered was great. He made sure everything was taken care off ina timely manner and made us feel special. Keep up the good and amazing work.

Overall a safe place to visit during the pandemic. They take good precautions but can get a bit irritating in dining room. buffet doesnt need to have servers pouring food in your plate. Thats not a great idea if you have less than inadequate staff.locaton remote and Google maps often gives you less than satisfactory roads to travel on. Food is fine but in winter was often cold in buffets. very costly a la cart. service was overall nice. Must visit if it suits your pocket

A good.place for weekend gateway. You will generally find families here. For young kids they have slides and marry go around. They also have game centre having billiards table,table tennis and carrom. Right now due to Covid their swimming pool is closed. Special mention for their food. Everything we ordered was good. They were following all protocols for covid. A good place to go on weekend gateway with family.
