Nice place to walk (.muddy in places around). Amazing old bridge. Piece of history. Crazy to think of cars driving across there.

The old over bridge is intresting and ofcourse its goes over the river so from the top the views are good .

I used the bridge to get from the Quays to Tobey Carvery. Its actually quite picturesque with views of the river and the nature reserve. Good safe crossing points too.

An attractive historic road bridge over the River Severn, now closed to traffic. Popular place to view the Severn Bore. Plagued by traffic noise from the busy A40. A footpath under the A40 leads to the Over canal basin, and a pleasant short stretch (about 500 metres) of canal.

A great walk around Alney Island to the old Over bridge, is a nice way to spend an afternoon.

Great place to walk the dogs. Plenty of paths to wander along. Telfords bridge is very impressive when compared to the other bridges close by.

Of the 3 bridges to choose from here, its the one Id be proud to have built. In my opinion the bore is better seen from the riverbank though.

Gorgeous walk or cycle location from quays through Alney island. Traffic free from Maisemore bridge to centre of Gloucester. Fabulous all year round except if Severn is in flood.

The landlady is very friendly the food is fantastic and every one is so friendly the lettings rooms are so clean you should come and see

Over Farm is good for lovely fresh produce meat and vegetables plus a variety of scotch eggs, cakes and confectionery, theres animals outside for the children to enjoy and you can buy a bag of food for them. They have music festivals and other fun things for young ones

Connects to a great cycle path to walk alongside the river back into the town centre, nice enough views of the Severn, obviously, it connects to the road.

Historic bridge but I came for a 5* Severn Bore. Too much rain meant a washout. All I got was wet feet on the way back. 😞

Good piece of local history

I walk my dog over this bridge at least 3 times a week and always enjoy this walk and is so peaceful and quiet when you want to get away from the hustle and traffic from the city centre were I live close to 😊😊😊

Out walking the dogs there a peaceful place to go despite the gentle hum of the sunday morning traffic passing by a lovely view of annersely Island and the calm waters of the severn reflecting the summer morning sun.

I love how theres a gypsy camp near Over Bridge. But great bridge though.

Well,its nice down by the river,but I like the pub with the Toby Carvery.. splendid Sunday roast,anyday of the week!

A historic bridge, no frills and only a couple of signboards, wont keep your attention for long but there is some pleasant walking to be had in the vicinity.

Its an old disused bridge. :-) Made of stone and very solid. Good to sit on and watch the world go by.

Over Bridge gets you across the Severn at Gloucester. Not really a tourist attraction but useful if youre trying to get out of Gloucester on the A40.
