This masjid is phenomenal. Great piece of architecture, its know fact the no matter in which corner u r offering salah, you will be able to see & hear imaam equally& clearly from all points in the masjid, which is mind boggling. But its so sad to see this huge art put to waste by the government. The place is just left to lost. No maintenance or service whatsoever provided by government. This place has been lock since 2/3 years. Sad to see history put to rot & disappeared some day.

The Jamia Mosque was built in 14th Century and its completely based on Persian Architecture. The Masjid is huge both inside and outside. They say that it was built in such a way that theres a point in the masjid where the Imaam recites Namaz and his voice echoes to all the nuke and corners of masjid so they dont have to use sound system and there only one light source (One Bulb) which is enough to light up the whole Masjid its all cuz of the extraordinary design and Architecture. This Captivating masjid is a vast piece of land and the architect is magnificent. So much of history of absorb!!!

It is regarded as one of the best examples of mosque architecture in South Asia. The arches design of Jamia Masjid Gulbarga reflects in the interiors of Spanish Mosque of Hyderabad, India. These are only two mosques in Indiawhich have interiors similar to the Great Cathedral–Mosque of Córdoba in Spain.

The masjid was so beautiful, i would say one of the best masjids Ive been to. It was spacious. The architectural build of the masjid was so fascinating that it made it stand out from the others. It has ventilation from every side which was allowing fresh natural and cool air inside which made the place more peace.

Greatest examples of Islamic architecture to exist in present day south India. Its beauty is exceeded only by its glorious legacy. But sadly its not properly maintained. And has almostno restrictions to its entry or other barriers.A great place to feel the solace and solitude. And a great mosque above all else.

Shahi Masjid Quila E Hasham GulbargaBuilt in A.D. 1367 under the architect Rafi from Kazwin in northern Persia. It is a rare example of an Indian mosque without a courtyard as the entire structure is covered with a roof. The style is neither Persian nor Indian, but both are amalgamated so as both can be unidentifiable. The structure measures 216 X 176, with cloisters on three sides and a spacious sanctuary with a dome on the western side. The central area is filled in with rows of aisles forming 68 bays, each roofed by a cupola. The external appearance of the central dome is made lofty and prominent by raising it on a square clerestory, its shape being repeated by the smaller cupolas. The dome is supported on the clerestory by means of squinches, some of the arches being gracefully foliated.Other constructional methods such as oversailing courses of masonry and vaulting are used in the aisles. This indicates a ripe technical knowledge and experience of the builders. The cloisters consist of a series of single archways of a very wide spans and low imposts. In the middle of the northern cloister is a large archway with the entrance which breaks the symmetry of the design. The interior is composed of a perspective of square bays with solid piers and vaulted ceilings in both directions. The building has very little in terms of ornamentation, but is more of an example of intellectual greatness and originality. The mosque had a great impact on Deccani architecture, its features like the stilted dome raised on the clerestory and the cloister arches with wide spans and low imposts. The style of this mosque did not find favour in India, though it may have inspired in a limited way the design of the Kali Masjid and Khirki Masjid built in Delhi shortly afterwards
