Buddha Vihar is a spiritual center and a buddhist temple located in a tranquil area in Gulberga city of Karnataka state. It is also known by the name of Kalaburgi. The Buddha Vihar is located 6 kms away from district headquarters on Sedam Road near Gulbarga University and Spread over 18 acres. It has a main building, a meditation center at the cellar and the Lord Buddha temple on the ground floor. Buddha vihar is surrounded by four holly Ashoka pillars in the four corners of vihar. It is a place of worship for Buddhists and famous for peaceful nature. It has a pretty artistic design. One can reach there by train, by bus or by Air. Nearest airport is Hydrabad which is 235 km away from kalaburgi distrct. Kalaburgi is also a railway station where all types of train stoppage.

This is a Buddhist temple which is maintained extremely well. Situated next to gulbarga University this place is around 7-8 km from the city.No photography is allowed inside the temple. The temple is maintained extremely clean and kept silent. There is a meditation hall which is very cool and a serene environment to mediate with utmost concentration. Theres a public toilet facility outside the temple premises.

Good place to meditate. Theres not much to visit in that place see. 2 kilometres from the highway. You can catch City bus with number 211 which directly goes to Buddha Vihar. If you are going by Auto, they usually charge from ₹100-₹120/-. Cameras/ Cellphones are not allowed inside.

A place away from the main city, where you can sit at peace & meditate. Photography inside the premises is strictly prohibited. Easily accessible from the main road. Must visit to relax and unwind. Late afternoon to evening is the best time to visit.

I have given 5 star, not only for the beautiful construction. But also for it is the best place for meditation. Which we rarely get in this busy becoming city.

Security guard at second gate was misbehaving with ladies, So i called Jayraj Manager by taking his no from contact number, Jayraj was very irresponsible in answering i have a recording of his conversation, Security guard was telling that Manager can take picture with their family but not common man, what is this non equality, for this Budh was not fought for, for this situation Ambedkar was not fought for, Treat everyone with same rules. so take action on security guard standed after main gate there are some steps to enter into temple. The security guard was rude and the Manager Jayraj was irresponsible. Jai Bheem.with theseSecurty guard behaviour whole Buddha Vihar name will go down.

Buddha Vihara is place for Buddhists.Situated in Gulbarga( Karnataka) .It started in 7 January 2007. The Buddha Vihar complex blends architectural features of eminent Buddhist centers of Sanchi, Sarnath, Ajanta and Nagpur and has been constructed conforming to traditional Buddhist architecture.Peaceful place ever. Chanting room also available.Mobile phone is prohibited inside this premises.

Guys the timings are 9-1:30.& 4-8 PM. By mistake we came here at 3 & waited till gate gets open. Its way far from City, approx 12kms. Auto guy wont come easily, one auto fella asked us to pay 500, but then we settled with other guy at 300!!
