Super friendly owner in this 18 room inn. He speaks English, German, Russian and Hungarian. Food and wine typical of the country served at meals. Beware, the hostel is not at the foot of the slopes (a few hundred meters to walk) but it is still possible to ask a little help to the people of the village.

Despite the fact that the hotel is slightly away from the lifts, we were brought up to them every day at a convenient time for us. Do you want breakfast early, or dinner later - no problem. Want a sharper sauce? You are welcome! Is the cheese too salty? Tomorrow will be another! Inside the hotel is a homely atmosphere, there is internet, dining room, fireplace. Delicious food, wine.

First time in Georgia - a country of amazingly hospitable people who treat you not as a client, but as a long-awaited and dear guest. I got this impression thanks to the Shamo hotel.Its not even a hotel - you return there in the evening as if you were in a second home. They will meet you, ask you about the past day, rejoice at your successes and sympathize with your failures. They will do everything for your comfort: you need a table higher in the room - they will drag the right one to the 3rd floor. If you want something spicy with food, they will bring adjika from your personal supplies. Adjika turned out to be very salty - especially for you, it will be diluted with another sauce and will be put on the table every day especially for you without any reminders. By the way, it was worth saying that the cheese is also too salty, and on purpose, they began to bring another, more bland, to our table. And these are just small examples of an attentive attitude, which, given the absolutely adequate cost, cannot be translated into money at all. By the way, the owner of Shamo Gela, who often personally sat down at the table to ask: Is everything okay?, And said: You dont need to translate everything into monetary equivalent. There are much more important things. And he continued to amaze with rare sincere good-naturedness, hospitality, tasty and plentiful table (how do you like dinner at 4 courses every evening?), The comfort of a fireplace set up especially for us, personal transportation to the ski lifts (although its not far to go to them - about 15 minutes in equipment ) and many, many little things that make up a pleasant stay.I usually dont write reviews, I dont like to waste time on it. But here I really want to repay at least this.Now I understand why in a year or two everyone who has been there returns with family, friends and gifts for Gela, a wonderful person who creates a unique atmosphere of relaxation and for me personally symbolizes the hospitality of the whole Georgia!
