Great place for nature lovers. 40 km long road is maintained for tourists. Traveling is not allowed after sunset and before sunrise. Please take food and other important things before going there because nothing is available in forest.

Saranda forest is a dense forest in the hilly region of West Singhbhum district in the Indian state of Jharkhand.Ho people inhabit the area, which is dotted with iron ore mining towns including Gua, Chiria, Kiriburu and NoamundiSal (Shorea robusta) is the most important tree in the area and it seems to have a preference for the rocky soil of the area. Although sal is a deciduous tree and sheds its leaves in early summer, the forest undergrowth is generally evergreen, which has such trees as mangoes, jamun, jackfruit, and piar. Other important trees are mahua, kusum.

Saranda Forest is really,very dangerous and horrible to spend 2 hours over there,when i went with my friend with Bike,to spend our holiday i was totally shocked that its was very dense and you cannot get help from any person...bcoz village is to far near about 15-20 or may be 30 kms away....so pls if you go over there ; day time will be the best!
