A nice location and small but well selected Indian grocery’s. They have an halal meat shop inside , small restaurent for a chaat and fresh sweets are available. I haven’t tried their on location sweets or chats but I liked their setup. Product selections are good for their store size. Will recommend anyone want to buy any Indian grocers.

Samosas are good. But do not get the sugar cane juice. I asked the man multiple times if it was fresh as I have had the not so fresh experience before. He repeatedly said it was fresh and so I believed him even though the color was brown (normally green). He did offer to give me my money back. But I had already tasted the drink so couldnt really take the money back as I had already drank it.

Great store with lots of variety and unique items. When I walked in, it smelled divine! I didnt order any food (I had already eaten) but I will definitely go back and try it one day. I found items such as chickpea roti, specialty ice cream, candies, popsicles, teas, spices, and of course many varieties of rice, beans, noodles, etc. The staff was very courteous as well. I will definitely stop here again!

I would kindly suggest that if you are Black/African avoid going to this store. I recently went to the store yesterday with my friend to pick up some curry for a dish. I am 16 year-old Ghanaian, and my mother and I often use ingredients such as curry in our traditional dishes. When I walked in, I was met with dirty looks from the cashier, who stared at my bag. As we were walking through the store, I couldn’t seem the find the curry, and my friend couldn’t find the item she was looking for, causing us to wander the store for a while. Additionally, another woman gave a dirty looks as we were shopping and turned around to go to another section everytime she saw me. I felt eyes watching me at my every turn. During this series of looking, the cashier was nowhere to be found whatsoever as soon as we stepped into the building, even though we needed help with finding our items. We had to wait for someone else to check out before we could ask the cashier for our items. When we proceeded to pay, the cashier said not a word to me, but muttered something to my friend, who I might mention was White when she forgot her bag. I said thank you and paid, but no response in return. I was so disappointed in the customer service I received yesterday even while I felt as though I didn’t do anything wrong, but rather my skin color determined the service I received. All I wanted was to get a quick simple item (curry) for my mother, and was sadly stereotyped and treated as a thief, although I am just a teenager who paid for the only item that I came for. Respectfully, I will most likely never return to this store because it simply wasn’t welcoming to me. Thank you.

The customer service was perfect and they went out of their way to make sure I got everything I needed even though they had to dig through some boxes to find something because they had pretty much sold out... Indu Indian Grocery Store, located in Greensboro is not your average typical grocery store. The owner has combining the store with an open kitchen concept where you can order typical I Dian street food and vegetarian meal. You get your bang for the buck ! The quantity of food served is considerable but not excessive. I would not say that the place is inexpensive, but I can certainly recommend this grocery store/ restaurant if you want to shop and eat ! As regards their grocery section, I can say it’s extensive and very well-stocked!

Indus is a great place to eat Indian street food. In the Triad area, it is the best place to each snacky food like gol guppey (pani puri), vada pav, and chaat papdi just to name a few. It is affordable and very flavorful. We make special 1.5 hour trips just to eat there. Its definitely a hole in the wall, embedded inside the grocery store. Its definitely not fancy, but fancy isnt as important as consistently tasty food.

We usually go there to shop for Indian groceries and also grab something to eat most times. However recently we had a bad experience with the store. We bought a 20lb rice bag and billed it. When leaving the store, we accidentally missed the rice bag at the store and left home. When we realized it, we called back and asked them to see if they had it. First phone call someone asked us to call back after 20 min. Then again second phone call, they asked us to call again after 10 min. When we tried again, the store was closed. So we called again the next morning and they asked all details again - who was the cashier (as if I know her name ugghh), what date we purchased etc.. After giving them all details, even description of the cashier, they simply said nobody knows. We asked if they could ask that employee again or if we could stop by and they just cut the call. The rice bag was close to 25$. I dont usually stereotype but this is typical Indian behavior - simply denying something without even looking/asking around. It would have at least been better if they had spent sometime looking into it.I am never going to shop here again or even buy their food. Every week we used to buy all our groceries from here but now were just going to go to other Indian stores or G-mart.

Great selection of Indian groceries and cooking implements. There is even a wide selection of frozen dinners that feature Indian cuisine. This is the first place that comes to mind when I need to stock up for Indian recipes. When the ingredients can be found elsewhere, the prices are most competitive here. The store aisles can be a little cramped when the store is busy, but it is not much of an inconvenience. The in-store chaat house has reasonably priced menu selections, and our family loves the food. The menu is vegetarian which makes ordering easy for our household, as we actually have plenty of options. The employees are mostly quietly in their tasks, but when they engage with customers, they are polite, knowledgeable and professional.

I love going here for all my Indian food needs!! The prices for spices are cheap and the staff members are extremely helpful in finding items you need. I go here at least once or twice every other week to enjoy the delicious food from the restaurant inside. the snacks isle is delicious for a bite in between meals and their frozen section is extremely helpful for any busy person who needs to eat and doesnt have time to cook. Plus its mostly healthy items to choose from. The only thing Ive noticed is the produce section is a bit over priced and I prefer G Mart located behind them for those items. They have a section for skin, hair and body care which Ive been using and have noticed a dramatic difference since. I cant wait to go back!! :)

My partner and I went and bought two large round multi-dish plates, mutiple desserts from the counter and a raw vegan (yes, raw vegan Indian food!) chickpea salad and it all only cost under $20 bucks. Were definitely going back there again. If youre vegetarian or vegan this is the best place in town to get cheap Indian food. Majority of their menu is under $6.00, and its all meat free!

This store carries a variety of food items. I frequently shop here twice a week. I have been shopping in this store for a long time and the owners from the beginning was very friendly. The store has expanded a lot but for the last two years i have really experienced discrimination from the owner and the employees. My country of origin is East Africa, Zanzibar. All my years growing up in Zanzibar, i was raised around Indians from Nepal, India, Muslim cultures, and other cultures from around the world. We cook similar food and i was very happy to find this Indu shop in Greensboro NC. The owners have followed me around while im shopping. One cashier had began to come very close to me while I was looking for a hair product. I calmly ask her why she was following me around and she said the owner had told her to do so. I was very shocked and didnt believe her because the owners had always been kind and i just shrugged the idea off. I went back on the store again on February of 2019 and i was the first customer in the store. They had just opened the store. I greeted the owner and he didnt respond. I went on to find my spices, and to my disbelief the male owner was staring at me while I picked a bottle of castor oil. I left that isle and went to another and guess who was following me around??? the old man. Truly the owner should put a billboard and indicate they only sell their products to the Native Indians. They totally discriminate against blacks and Africans because they have the stereotype that black people steals. This time i was not carrying my bag but only had my debit card and keys on my hands. I was so disgusted by the experience and i will never step my foot in this store again. My advice to any blacks or Africans, please dont waste your time and money shopping here. Order your stuff on Amazon or Ebay. At least there you wont face discrimination.
