Kabataş High School, which has been teaching since 1908, is one of the oldest high schools in Turkey. He gave his first graduates with 23 students in 1910. Its a socially active school. They have also participated in many activities related to the people with disabilities. Kabataş High School has been participating in the Best Buddies Turkey project since 2011 and friendship bonds are established between the students who participated in the project and the Disabled youth.

Its an awful school, i was here once upon a time in america and it was the worst experience in my life. there are very awful guys at school. they smoke. yes they smoke at school. and girls smoke too. yes i did. i watched them. and they looked me and say hi dad, come and join us i was supraised. i looked. ithinked. and i joined them. oh my god! what a night it was! i remember sumtimes and hairs become straight

Kabataş High School was established on 7 March 1908 under the name of Kabataş Mekteb-i İdadisi with the decree of Sultan Abdülhamit II. Establishment purpose; to train distinguished administrators for the Islamic world. On April 18, 1908, he started his education in Esma Hatun Mansion on the embankment on the seaside of Kabataş district. Its first director was Hasan Tahsin (Ayni) Bey, and the whole high school consisted of 7 classes and 276 students. It gave its first graduates with 23 students in the 1909/1910 academic year.Like other schools, many teachers and senior students from Kabataş participated in the Balkan Wars. As a result of the great sorrow caused by the end of the war in the country and the declared general mourning, the colors of the school flag from red-white were changed to red-black on 7 March 1913.The school was opened in 1913 in its first section with five classrooms and the 12-class sultana was transformed and renamed Kabataş Mekteb-i Sultanisi. The boarding part was opened in 1919. When the sultans were abolished with the declaration of the Republic, Kabataş Mekteb-i Sultanisi became Kabataş High School in the 1923-1924 academic year, the first part was removed in the 1925-1926 academic year. The high school moved to the building of Feriye Palaces, which was built as the summer residence of the relatives of the sultan in the second half of the 19th century, in the 1928-1929 academic year. These buildings are known as the place where the Ottoman sultan, Sultan Abdulaziz, was deposed from the throne in 1876 and died by committing suicide after 4 days of imprisonment.In 1934, the old building on the street, known as the Ağalar Circle, in the school yard, was restored and opened as a Cultural Building with a conference hall and laboratories.Due to the increase in the number of students, the current dormitory building of Feriye Palaces, which was used as the Beşiktaş Secondary School of Feriye Palaces, was added to the Kabataş High School buildings, whose middle part was closed twice in the academic years of 1941-1942 and 1959-1960 and which was only continuing as high school. 42 female students were enrolled in the school in the 1979-1980 academic year. The female students were transferred to Beşiktaş Secondary School after only one year of study.Kabataş High School Education Foundation was established in 1987. In 1992-1993 academic year, coeducation and Foreign Language Based Turkish Education / Super High School program were started, English preparatory class was opened. Since 1994-1995, boarding facilities have also been provided to female students. Feriye Police Station and Zaptiye Wards, which were the old coal depot adjacent to the school and later Tekel depot, were included in the school area in 1989 with the efforts of the Kabataş Education Foundation. This place was restored and started to serve as an Education and Culture Site since 1995.Since the 1998-1999 academic year, it has been providing education in the status of Kabataş Erkek High School Anatolian High School.
