The library was established by the ‘Bibhuti Bhusan Smriti-raksha Committee’, a local Bibhuti Bhusan Bandyopadhyay’s fan Association. The land was donated by the local people monetary assistance from the public and profit from cinema-show helped to build the library building construction. In the year of 1954, two local libraries namely ‘Sarat Chandra Granthagar’ and ‘Banimukti Pathagar’ were amalgamated with this library. The aims nad objectives of this library are the ideas and values of the library that great literature Bibhuti Bhusan Bandyapadhyay communicated and conveyed to local people.
